HP4680 Officejet printer

I have a HP4680 Officejet Printer and want to know if it can be used in the wireless setting with my Windows 8 laptop.

Hi CDA4214,
I think this is your printer, according to the document - if you follow the steps in order, you should be good to go

  • Email address for HP J4680 All-in-One Officejet printer?

How do I find the email address for my HP J4680 All-in-One Officejet printer?

why cant the email be the mac address? or the serial number?
Seriously I went thru hoops to find out that HP is too stupid to include an easy way for all of their wireless printers on a network to be accessed?
maybe I need to buy a different brand next time.! Toss my Hp laptop, Desktop, Printer! and buy a samsung! Sheesh this is not only depressing its typical of HP!
I paid good money to have a wireless printer! but because HP cant figure out how to reach it out to it on the network with a unique # thats built in I have to go buy one that has a email address?
    Seriously!!!!!! ????
Something so simple could be fixed with a software patch/upgrade!
Get on it! or get replaced!

  • The cyan color won't print when using our HP Pro 6500 Officejet printer

the cyan color won't print when using our HP Pro 6500 Officejet printer.  Can I get help with this?

This doesn't make sense. The printer is exhibiting behavior noticed when a network printer is connected to a laptop while the laptop is connected to a VPN. But in this case, neither the printer is connected on a network, not is the laptop connected to a VPN per se.
Are you sure all the latest drivers for your laptop have been installed? That's pretty much the only thing I can think of right now.

  • HP Officejet Printer Status

HP Officejet Printer Status - ERROR PRN  - does any one know how to fit.

    Hi @crui ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read about your HP Officejet Printer and an issue with printing. Here is a link to the HP Print and Scan Doctor. The HP Print and Scan Doctor will run a check on your system and the printer.
Are you getting an error message on the display panel?
Plug the power adapter directly into a functioning wall outlet. Do not plug it into a power strip, surge protector, or secondary power source. Unplug the printer from the power and press the power button several times while it is unplugged. Here is a document that gives you steps to follow.
    Please let me know.
    Thanks.

  • Printing from web pages is excruciatingly slow with most recent upgrades of Firefox .Use an iMac and an HP officejet printer. Printer works fine with Safari and woodprocessed files, but not with Firefox and web pages.

Printing from web pages is excruciatingly slow since downloading most recent upgrades of Firefox Mozilla. I have a desktop iMac, OS 10.6.8, and an HP officejet printer 4500 G510n. The printer works fine with the Safari Browser and with woodprocessed files, but not with Firefox and web pages. Help please! It used to print fast with earlier versions of Firefox.

Hello and welcome to the Apple Discussions Forum.
I have hardly any experience with HP printers but since your posting has not been replied to yet I thought I'd offer some assistance.
With the printer status and ink levels working, it shows that you have a connection to the printer. So I would look at the issue being with the protocol being used for the print queue on the Mac.
Since you have XP and Vista working, I would check the printer queue configuration on either box. In XP, go to the Properties and select Ports. Click the Configure Port tab to view the connection. If you are using RAW, then this is known as HP Jetdirect-Socket on OS X. So if you are not sure what protocol was used before I would create another printer queue, this time selecting IP > HP Jetdirect-Socket. Then enter your IP address and select the K5400dn from the Print Using menu.
If this still fails to print then please reply. There may be limitations with adding the HP driver this way that I am not aware of. There may also be other driver options you can look at, such as HPIJS. If Greg Sahli reads this posting he has expert knowledge on this matter and will be able to offer some guidance.

  • Can't load driver page for OfficeJet Printer ... "HP compiling results" message lasts forever

Something is going really bad with HP drivers webpage. I can't go beyond "HP is compiling your results. This could take up to 3 minutes, depending on your computer and connection speed. Thank you for your patience". I can't go thru. Thanks for any advise. Please point me to the complete link to download the full driver for the printer. Diego

I am having the same problem trying to download the driver for my OfficeJet Pro 6830. Gets as far as "HP is compiling your results. This could take up to 3 minutes, depending on your computer and connection speed. Thank you for your patience."

  • 8500 officejet prints blank sheet but copies fine

HP OFFICEJET PRO 8500 AIO PRINTER
I am able to copy documents fine in Black and Color; however, when printing either with wired or wireless the document feeds thru without any text being displayed.
I tried in Word or Excel with same negative result.
I have tried multiple computers (XP, WIN7) same negative result.
I tried cleaning to 3rd level and still negative result.
Unplugged printer and tested again with same negative result
    suggestions what it could be?

    Hello,
How are you connected to the printer, USB or Wireless?

  • Installing & connecting hp Officejet printer to network and OS X 10.8.2

    Hi Experts,
    Looking for some advice please.
    Currently using OS X 10.8.2.
    a) my HP Officejet Pro 8500 is connected to my wireless network, yet it is not available when I go to Add Printers on my Mac.
    b) I no longer have the CD that came with the printer to Install drivers and from reading some other discussions that I would now have to install software updates since installing 10.8.2.
New to the world of Macs and struggling. Any advice please?
    Thanks

As a general rule, you should not use the drivers and software from the CD that is shipped with the machine as this is often released years before the latest version of OS X you are using.
If you refer to this Apple KB article, it appears that your 8500 has a printer and scanner driver available from Apple. So it is best to use these drivers.
Now, with your printer not appearing in the Add printer view, it would suggest the Mac and printer are not on the same network. To check this, one action is to open the internal web page of the printer. If you know what IP address the 8500 is using, you can type this into a web browser as the URL. For example; http://10.0.1.10
So can you try this please.

  • OfficeJet Printing PCL Commands

I have an OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g which I understand supports PCL3.  When I send it PCL3 commands (from an old DOS Basic program), it prints them out in text instead of performing the action.  The very same set of commands work just fine on my LaserJet 4P (yes I know it's ancient).  Any idea what's wrong or what I need to do to get it to work like the LaserJet?  Thanks.

    Hi Brett:
We would like to accomodate your requirement, but it might not be possible to embed PCL, since all our printed documents are converted to PDF first and PDF is printer independent.
However, it should be possible to provide a solution that prints the document 2 times on one printer and 2 times on another pritner. Do you require this for a single document, document batch or bursting scenario (same document to different output channels?)
Our 5.6.1 bursting support may be able to help with this requirement. Is that for e-Business Suite or Standalone XML Publisher?

  • Download of Firefox vers 6 caused HP Officejet printer to quit printing

Contacted HP on 9/7/11 and they agreed there is a conflict with Firefox 6 and my Officejet Model 4580 that they could not resolve. Last person I talked to was Spvy Omar Flores based at their Phillipino call center.

    Hi @steel13
Since the issue only occurs when you print from Firefox, I feel it would be most beneficial if you reach out to Mozilla.
You might first consider resetting Firefox print settings; Fix printing problems in Firefox.
    Best of luck.
