HP5610 All-In-One and HP57 Inkjet Print Cartridges

New HP57 Print Cartidge says it fits my HP OfficeJet 5610. Printer shows error:  “CARTRIDGE ERROR:Cartridge on Left is not intended for this printer.”
General comments I see on internet say cartridge will not work on this model.  If so, why does the HP57 box say it is for the 5610???????

HP 5610 always reads cartridge error

    HI,
You should be able to just leave it on, it should have a sleep mode which it will enter after a while.

  • I have a new iMac and want to use my HP 7300 All in One and to use the "Fax"feature I need a phone port on computer and of course, this computer does not have one.  Are there any aftermarket devices for USB to phone that would work in this case?

I have a new iMac and want to use my HP 7300 "All in One and cannot use the fax feature because there is no phone port is there a solution for this?BACellli

You don't need a phone port on the iMac. The HP 7300 DeskJet Pro has an internal modem, you connect the printer's modem connection directly to your phone line. Please re-read the install directions that came with the printer.

  • HP Deskjet All in ONe L7650 will not print black only --

Started doing this with previously working black cartridge, updated software--prints, but blank page comes out when set to black ink only; prints other colors.
Changed black print cartridge and still will not print black.  Diagnostic page prints other colors.
Printhead health shows good for all colors.

What brand of printer cartridges (not printhead) did you use the last time you changed them?  I don't know if it was because one or both of my printer cartrdiges went dry, but I put new cartridges in (not printhead) and it improved somewhat--I kept trying to clean the printheads but it seemed to never get resolved.
I refuse to have to buy new printheads.  I tried several cycles of "align printheads" "clean printheads" and never got a decent print out, but I did get to the point of all the colors printing although magenta printhead makes printing errors and so I never know what I am going to get with color anymore.
It seems to be at its worst when printing in "draft" but in normal or best (with more ink coming through) it seems better--the higher ink volume seems to cover some of the problems with the printheads.
So, I am justing using it "as is" and not replacing the printheads--because it is a waste and yes, could almost get a new printer for this cost.
I wish I had never gotten this All in One and just stuck with the old 970 csi and the old UMAX scanner, which was a better scanner, but thought I would "save some space" by getting this since it scans legal, which I needed.
Just keep trying to reseat the printheads (also trying to reclean them, which seems to make it worse) and keep printing out those "tools" alignment and cleaning procedures.
    But no help from HP.

  • HP Deskjet all-in-one F4440 will not print

My HP Deskjet all-in-one- F4440 will not print.  I have put in a new color and a new black cartridge.  It clanks loudly when it moves back and forth.  Finally it stops and then pulls plain paper through as though printing on it - does this two or three times.  then it pulls plain paper halfway through and stops.  I have to tug and carefully pull halfway paper back out towards front to remove.

    Hi there,
Could you provide the community with a little more information to help narrow troubleshooting? Are there any error messages or flashing lights? What operating system are you using?

  • Any suggestions for an all-in-one "cable modem router print server" (N)

any suggestions for an all-in-one "cable modem router print server" (N)?

If that's a problem with your cable company, change the company.
If your cable company is not able to provide you with a cable modem which gets you full performance for their service why would you bother with that company or try to make it better than them?
If you subscribe to a 100 Mbit/s service they must be able to provide you with a modem that does 100 Mbit/s and be able to demonstrate you 100 Mbit/s on your cable.
If they are unable to provide you with a modem which does 100 Mbit/s and thus cannot demonstrate that the service they have installed in fact can do 100 Mbit/s but only give you a 50 Mbit/s because that's the best they have, why bother buying yourself a better modem to find out whether or not their service does what it promises or not??
In addition, an integrated device won't get you better performance. On the contrary, consumer devices are generally single CPU (and core) devices. It's usually running some Linux or similar. If a single process gets overloaded it can drag down the performance of the whole device. For instance, let's say there is a bug in the print server software of the router. You print something and it hangs and the print server process on the router runs wild. Now the CPU is fully loaded and the routing performance will go down. If there is a bug in the routing software it will bring down the whole device and you can't even print.
You'll get the best performance if you use dedicated devices because then one device cannot overload another. Get a modem. Get a wireless ethernet router. Get a printer with integrated print server. That's far better.
It's like the all-purpose audio device compared to components...

  • Just purchased an hp all in one and I can't download software called apple and they suggested either epson or canon as hp always causes trouble to mac's can anyone suggest a good ebson or canon all in one.

I just purchased an HP All-In-One and when I went to download software it said my Mac didnt support it to contact HP.  When I contacted HP they wanted me to pay to set up my computer so the machine would work.  I contacted Apple and the agent told me to take it back and get either Epson or Canon as HP is not always Mac friendly can anyone suggest a good Epson or Canon All In One.  Thanks for your help..this HP is going back.

You will probably value these features:
    1. Decent speed
    2. Reliability
    3. Low cost of operation
    4. Wireless usage
    5. Strong printing quality
Epson withdraw support for my old printer, so I've stayed with Canon - who regularly updates its drivers. The Canon MX 892 has been getting strong reviews for print quality, speed, and special features. Refills, through a third-party vendor, can be very reasonable; so the liberal use of ink probably won't be a major concern (unless you choose to stay with the Canon-branded ink).  Price is as low as $139, new, and about $100 used.

  • Scan with envy 5530 all in one and OSX 10.6.8

the scan does not work on my new envy 5530 all in onesuggestions on your docs imply using applications on mac: no result machine requires that software be connected except i had no software with my printer, was told mac did not require the installation of software. and the printer did work as soon as connected and set-up.where do i go from there? do i need software? where do i get/download it? i already returned printer once because of printing/paper loading problem (after using an epson wthout a glitch for 6 yrs - changed for less expensive usage) and chose this in part for the scan function. so please... help

Hi there,  Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that you are having trouble scanning with your HP Envy 5530, on Mac OS X 10.6. I am happy to help you with your scanning!  Some questions for you:  Are you able to make copies with the printer, by using the scanner glass? Copying Documents. How is the printer connected? Wireless, or USB? You can use either HP Software for your scanning, or non-HP Software for scanning, as shown in this guide, How to Scan: Mac OS X v10.6, it is up to you. If you want to use HP Software, you will need to install the full feature software and drivers, found at this website, HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads. If you are still having trouble scanning, please try going through this scanning guide, A 'The computer is not responding' Error Displays for the HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One and HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4510 e-All-in-One Printer Series, and let me know what happens! Hope to hear from you soon!  “Please click the Thumbs up icon below to thank me for responding.”

  • I have a hp photosmart c7280 all in one and i get a message that says "pump motor stalled.

I have an HP photosmart C7280 All in One and I get a message that says pump motor stalled.  I have done everything from resetting and turning it off.  I have checked to make sure that there is not any paper jam.  It makes a clicking sound after it has been reset and then the message "pump motor stalled" pops up.  Any suggestions or should I just toss and buy new???  It is only three years old but it is out of warranty.

You might try the suggestions in this post.  There is also a post here that reports success.
