Hp750: Replacement keyboard and rubber feet

I live in Argentina, As there were no alternatives, I bought an hp750 with a local keyboard.
I can't believe how difficult it is to get a standard english keyboard.
Only a few weeks after my buy, one of the rubber thingies to protect the display almost got lost but I could repair (re-glue) that one in time.
A few days later, one of the rubber feet disappeared.
A mail through an HP webform, filling in all the laptop details, serial nrs, etc, only got a
reply over 30 days later, from someone in Costa Rica, who asked for all those details, again.
Can anyone indicate how to proceed?
Thanks

Hello Jcoppins,
If you've got someone contacting you from HP I would just give them those details again. Its going to be hard to find those rubber protectors from anywhere but from HP.  But to save you time I would just type all that info into a new document and save it, then if you ever have another problem occur and they want your system info etc. all you have to do is copy and paste it. Other thoughts come to mind as well on this topic, you mentioned how hard it was to get an english keyboard. If you feel like your getting the run around HP doesn't have to manufacture everything on your system, and you just might find those and anything else you may need here:
http://www.newegg.com
This is my personal favorite, and they've had just about anything I've ever needed at prices that doesn't make you regret buying your pc. Hope this helps you now, and in the future as well.

  • Replacement keyboard and trackpad

    Hello,
I have a 15inch Macbookpro mid-2010 (A1286) with retina display. Need to replace the keyboard and trackpad - split water on it! - No insurance/guarantee
Will the keyboard from any Macbookpro fit in another?  I was going to buy a used one but getting one in my model mac with UK buttons is difficult (the enter button is different on US versions - won't fit in the body). In other words can I buy a keyboard from a 13inch or 17inch Macbookpro and install it?
Trackpad looks like it varies per size of screen so I need to get one from a 15inch Macbookpro - does it matter which model?
    Any advice welcome!

    NO!
You will have to use parts from the identical model MBP that you have.  They may look the same on the outside, but internally there are many subtle differences in the inside from model year to model year.
Look at the iFixit.com and Powerbookmedic.com web sites for parts and instructions.
    Ciao.

  • Replacing keyboard and mouse

I am trying to replace the wireless keyboard and mouse combo on my HP506Q Touchsmart with a Microsoft wireless combo. No matter what I do, the system will not respond to the new ones. Neither the new keyboard nor the new mouse will work. I have down loaded the newest drivers from Microsoft and installed them. I have tried the connect switches on both mouse and keyboard. I have removed and reinstalled the batteries from both. Amy suggestions?

Did you disconnect the little blue USB receiver under the body?
You should aslo be able to go into Control Panel -> Uninstall Programs and uninstall HP Keyboard. You can get your keyboard software back by Start -> PC Help & Tools, Recovery Manager.

  • Cost or replacing screen and rubber bottom?

The rubber bottom part of my 2009 Macbook has started to come off so I want to get it replaced. Does anyone have an idea of the cost that Apple would charge? And also what is the cost of replacing the screen? I have a scratch on it and it is constantly multiplying in size.
    Thankyou

Your MB may qualify for a free bottom replacement. See here:

Alas, there is no screen replacement program.

  • Need for Keyboard Updater for Replacement Keyboard

Apple Care just sent me a replacement Keyboard and it works great.
My question is do I need the run the Apple Keyboard Update 1.0 again?
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/firmware_hardware/applekeyboardupdat e10.html
I suspect change is already in my 10.5.6 (Build 9G66) and it is internal to the
iMac rather than something that needs to be updated in the actual keyboard

That update was not for your Mac.
You are correct! I selected the wrong updater. I think this is the one for my iMac
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/firmware_hardware/aluminumkeyboardfi rmwareupdate10.html
I just downloaded it and got a dialog box saying
Your keyboard does not need this update
It already has the updated functionality.

  • Rubber Feet on Macbook Pro mid 2012 Replacement

One of the rubber feet on the bottom of my Macbook Pro mid 2012 Retina fell off and I would like to replace it. Only parts I can seem to find online are for the entire bottom case (which I don't need) or for non-retina feet. Anyone have this same problem and have a way to just fix the one rubber piece?
    Thanks.

I have a late 2011 MBP and my rubber 'feet' don't slip on my Formica desk surface. It could be that yours are thinning out, I suppose. Some people have had luck with Apple replacing the feet only while others have had to have the bottom casing replaced, feet and all.
Try taking your unit into your local Apple Store and see what they can do for you. I'm sure that they'll charge you something but if it's only for the rubber disks, it shouldn't be much.

  • Replacement rubber feet for MU09 battery

A rubber foot on the MU09 battery that came with my computer is missing.  Can anyone point me to a replacement part, preferably with an HP part number?
Note that the rubber feet I am looking for are for the battery itself, not the computer.  The MU09 battery has two circular rubber feet about 0.9mm in diameter.

I'm always buying old laptops on ebay and fixing them up and they are always missing the rubber feet.  I went to a pool supply place and bought a set of rubber feet for outdoor steps. I cut them to size and glue them on with automotive trim adhesive.  That's probably overkill for you for one foot, but look around your house at tabletop appliances like small fans or lamps or something you might have sitting around that you don't need anymore and see if it has rubber feet on it. You could cut the rubber to size and glue it on the battery.
    Just an idea.

  • Replacing Rubber Feet

Hello,  I recently got some work done on my laptop as my charging port was damage. There was also some cosmetic damage to the side my laptop. (I didn't know that was covered under warranty, so I was impressed)  Anyway in order to access the casing they must have removed one of the rubber feet to access the screws. When I got it back from the HP Repair centre, one of the rubber feet kept coming off and I kept sticking it back on but it just wasn't for staying.  So today its came off somewhere and I cannot find it, I've been on the move a lot today so I wouldn't really know where to find it, for all I know its dropped and stuck onto something else and because its not something you generally notice unless you look I never noticed until now.  Anyway I read in this thread: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Hardware-Upgrades-Replacements/Missing-Rubber-feet-on-my-laptop/td-p/4143386 that you can get them from the HP Parts store, so I went there and entered my product number and No Results. I enter my Serial Number and No Results. I enter my product name and...you guessed it - No Results.  Serial number: CND441BFVYProduct number: K6C60EA#ABU If anyone could give me any advice on getting replacement feet I'd greatly appreciate it.

  • X200 Rubber Feet Replacement?

One of the front rubber feet fell off my new x200, and it is nowhere to be found.  Is there anywhere I can get a replacement for it?  I tried searching for the part on lenovo's site, but couldnt' see it anywhere.  Is it just too early for them to start selling these things?

My front left rubber foot keeps falling off. Is there a certain glue that i should use to reattach the thing for good?

  • G410 rubber feet replacement?

My G410 laptop's rubber feet came off and its nowhere to be found. Where can I buy a replacement for this and how much?

  • Rubber Feet Replacement

I've read many discussions about rubber feet falling off of some macbook pros. I've lost two of my rubber feet, and I'm trying to get the approx size or length of the rubber feet on a 13'' macbook pro. It is not under warranty, and apple would have to replace the entire bottom plate just for two feet. I don't want to spend $50, when I spent over a $1000 for this. If someone can tell me where to purcahse these same rubber feet for less than $20, I would very much appreciate it. Please and thank you.

i have the same issue as you. I posted back in 2010 with no resolution too.
However, I just found out about this.
    http://www.apple.com/support/macbook-bottomcase/
I am going to check out my local Apple store and see if they honour this because mine is from 2009.  But I had this happened to me late 2010, and I posted on this forum about my experience.  So hopefully they will honour this for me even though mine is more than 2 years old.

  • Replacement of rubber feet on Satellite 3000-X11

    Hi
Does anyone know where I can get 2 replacement rubber feet for the underside of a Satellite 3000-X11? I have spent ages looking around the Toshiba site but nothing useful coming up.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
Just to let you know, I phoned the Toshiba Authorised Service Partner. I called them and although they did not have any in stock, have ordered a pack of 4 which I should get in a few weeks. Minimum order of about 15 though!!

  • Two rubber feet have fallen off my macbook pro ..... i have tried online to have them replaced under apples back replacement programme but whe i enter the serial number i am told i dont qualify for this programme, but no reason is given.....?

I own a 15" macbook pro, purchased in mid 2010. Two of the rubber feet have recently fallen off and while researching how to replace them i discovered Apple have a "replacement back programme" for just such a problem. I entered the serial number in their website and was told i do not qualify for said programme.....No reason given at all.......although they state that macbooks bought at the time i purchased mine should qualify.....any ideas ????

  • Does anyone sell replacement rubber feet for Macbook pro?

Replacement rubber feet for MBP unibody. This might sort the issue with the wobble I have.

This is what I sent. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks for the input.
    Mr. Cook,
I've been a loyal customer for a decade. Recently three of the four plastic/rubber feet fell off of the bottom of my mid-2009 2.8 GHz MBP S/N W89XXXXXXYB. I called the Apple Store I use most often, Aspen Grove in Littleton, CO. I described the problem to a genius. They told me that they would have replacement feet waiting available at the Genius Bar within a week or so at no charge.
I went to the Aspen Grove Store on Wednesday, December 14, to pick up the feet. I met with a young lady named Kacy. She first told me that she would get the feet for me. She then told me that I had to bring my computer in and a genius would install the feet. Then she went in the back for a few minutes, came out and told me that the feet were not available. She said that I needed a whole new bottom piece, but that it would be covered. Kacy went in the back again, came and told me that the bottom wouldn't be covered after all, that my only option was to pay $186 for a new bottom piece.
About that time the business pro, Greg, came up. After hearing the problem he told Kacy that Apple could cover the bottom piece. They then conferred for a few moments, went back in to the back of the store and returned a few minutes later once again reneging on the offer to replace the bottom piece.
I had an appointment, so I voiced my displeasure with Greg and Kacy about being treated like a Yo-yo.
When I had time later in the evening, I called the Aspen Grove store and asked for the store manager. Instead I was directed to a manager on duty (I think), Hailey. I attempted to explained the situation to Hailey, but she continued to interrupt me, characterize Apple employees offers to take care of the problem and then renege on those offers as a "misunderstanding."  She was completely intractible and began to take on a tone of taunting me about the situation. Exasperated, I ended the call.
Hoping for a different experience, I went to the Briargate store in Colorado Springs on 12/26. Instead, I received a whole lot of "so what," shoulder shrugging and indifference from the employees there.
Sir, I understand that things wear out and break, but it cannot by Apple's position that the only way to replace three plastic feet that maybe cost 50 cents is by buying a $186 replacement part, can it?
The position and attitude of your employees in this matter is such a sea change from the exemplerary customer service I've previously seen that I'm struggling to understand what's changed at Apple. An ipad 3, iphone 5, new laptops for my wife and I and a desktop workstation are all on the wish list for my growing photography business in 2012, but I'm sure you can understand my new found reticence at purchasing more Apple products if this is the way I will be treated.
Thank you for your time and attention in this matter.
