HP7525 Blue Blinking Light & Other Issues

HP7525 AIO Printer and Dell 17R SE Laptop running WIN 7 (64-Bit)
I'm trying to set up wireless direct from the laptop to the printer and the computer cannot locate the printer.  I have downloaded three versions of the installation software, I have deleted the install twice, and I'm getting nowhere.  The blue LED is blinking on the printer - is this normal or not?
When I started the install I opted for USB connection per the installation instructions and then wanted to switch to the Wireless Direct connection.  The printer MAY have located our MiFi and tried to hookup to it, but not sure.
Why can't I make a bluetooth connection?  This seems straight forward, but I guess not.
If I sound frustrated, I am.  Could someone please help?
Thanks,
Rick

Jabzi,
Thanks for your reply.  I tried everything in the article you gave me a link to and DID resolve one issue.  The blinking blue light is an indication that the priner is not connected properly to a router (and thus the internet).  After following the instructions in the article, not only did the printer connect to a router that our son has in the house next door, BUT the printer also did a firmware update - which I figured would help resolve the "Wireless Direct" connection issue.  And right after I set up the connection to our sons router, the blue light issue was resolved and the printer will work over our sons internet connection.
BUT ... my wife and I travel in a motorhome a lot and this is primarily why I'm trying so hard to get the "Wireless Direct" connection established so we can print, scan, etc directly to/from the printer from the computer (which is the primary reason I bought this printer in the first place) and not need a router or internet connection to accomplish this.
So I turned the router OFF to test the "Wireless Direct" connection, and the connection failed.  As soon as I turned the router back ON the connection resumed.  SO, I think I still don't have the printer and computer set up as "Wireless Direct" or why else would the connection to the printer go away like that?
In one of the articles I read while trying to research this whole thing, I believe I read that there is some other software that needs to be used for the wirless direct connection and yet other places it says that software is part of the full installation software instead of just the basic software.  I am only using the full installation software.  Do you know which way it is - full installation versus separate software?
What else seems strange is I set up the Wireless Direct printer connection on the printer front panel as "On (With Security)" and I have yet to be prompted for the Wireless Direct password.  This also confirms to me that the connection is still not there.
If you or anyone else can help me get this thing going correctly, I'd REALLY appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks again SO much for your response.  I look forward to any help,
Rick

  • HP PSC 2355 Blue screen of Death and Error message/ blinking lights.

Hello, I have a HP PSC2355 that we recently moved, after we moved it started randomly locking up with the Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD), it would give an error:0X880529ec on the BSOD, further down the screen were the characters 1:H+x?+  The (ON) light was Blinking Green, the (!) light was blinking orange.  This will happen regardless if the PC was on or not, it will happen when trying to print, sometimes only getting 1" of print at the top of the page.  Currently running Windows XP, SP3 connected via USB.  I highly doubt it is a PC issue as it will happen when trying to use it as a standalone copier.  Sounds internal to me, I do have electronics experience ( I repair televisions )  If someone has any ideas, let me know.....
I might also add, you dont have to be printing for the error to crop up, you can just plug it in and wait, later you will see the BSOD and the blinking lights.

Well, decided to try to print from another computer, d/l the smaller driver only package (26meg), did a fresh install after finally getting the printer to stay on for a few minutes, it took forever on the first part of 8 on the installer (cable already plugged in), and it has been on for many hours now, printed many things, yet to have an error.  Dont know if the driver installation did anything with the firmware on the unit or not.
    Differences:
    Celeron Laptop (virus/trojan free) now
Was on a P4 desktop that had not been so lucky with the trojan/viruses.
Upstairs on my dining room table now
Was in basement in wife's scrapbooking room.
    Dunno, time will tell.......

    Dear Customer,
Welcome and Thank you for posting your query on HP Support Forum
It looks like your Notebook has a blinking/flashing CAPSLOCK light and a blank screen all the time
Whenever the Capslock LED Blinks once that means CPU not functional and we need to replace the Processor
However, I would request with you to perform the below shown step before contacting HP
Step 01. Turn OFF the Notebook
Step 02. Un-plug the Power/AC Adapter and also remove the battery too
Step 03. Press and Hold the Power Button on the Notebook for a full minute
Step 04. Test your Notebook with Battery and Power Adapter alone
Note: If you are still facing the same issue try to remove and reseat the Memory Modules of your Notebook

  • Stop the sleep blinking light in lenovo g-470, whining sound from the power adapter , HEEEEEELP !!!

Hi, hope anyone can help me.
I own a lenovo b560 and a g470, the sleep light will blink when I go to sleeping mode, anyway the problem is not the light, the problem is the whining sound it produces the power adapter when the light start blinking, in both machines I hear that whining noise, but in the g470 is much louder, I don´t know if this is because I have a faulty adapter or something, the strange thing is that both adapters make the noise when I sleep the laptop, when I turn off or hibernate the whining sound disappear.
Also, I notice that the whining sound alternate in 2 types of sounds, one is high in pitch and the other lower, the high pitch is when the blinking light turn on when go to sleep and the lower pitch of the sound is when the light go off, and that is repeating until I resume the laptop, it´s very annoying, especially when I´m in a quiet room.
So my theory is that maybe somehow I can turn off the blinking light when the laptop goes to sleep and then maybe the whining sound will go away, but I don´t know, it´s only an a idea.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks !

  • Blinking lights office jet pro 8600

HP has been very cooperative in clearing my problem.  I am on my 3rd office jet pro 8600 plus, N911g.  After a short period the blinking lights appear "turn printer off, then on" no other message.  It's OK for a brief period and then the lights reappear.  I have done everything HP support says....I have also moved the printer from room to room thinking that might help....still the same problem.  Any suggestions, or must I just accept the lights.  I am using Windows 7.  Also an HP Laptop.  Love HP and the printer.

    Welcome to the forums Migee,
I saw your post about your Officejet 8600 showing blinking lights and the message to turn the printer off. I would like to share my suggestion that might help!
Update the printers firmware: Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates
Plug the printer in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Let me know if that helps. If not, please let me know if the printer is still in warranty with HP and we will go from there.

  • Blue LED Lighting showing up as purple

Using a Canon 60D and having some issues taking photosgraphs that use intense blue LED lighting and showing up as purple instead of blue
Below is an example of  a set I am trying to shoot but the blue is turning out purple.
I have tried all the different color balance settings which will affect white causing it to be a cool white and all the way to warm white but the blue uplighting remains purple.
What I also found interesting is that I took some shots with my iphone and the blue comes out correctly.
Anybody know how I can fix the problem or is this a limit with the sensor on the 60D? Would a higher end Canon camera fix this?

The camera display is a jpg that has the white balance and camera style settings applied, even if you're shooting in raw.
Also, when you go back, if you have another lens try a photo with that, even if it's a different focal length.  I'm guessing it's probably a combo of white balance, over-exposure color shift, purple fringing CA, and maybe some camera settings tossed in for good measure.  I'm sure I'll be around there this weekend, I'll drag a camera around for grins.

  • Blue to purple shift issue

I found that the LightRoom (including v2.3 RC) has a weird processing of the blue color on my camera – Canon EOS 450D. After the exposure increase the blue goes to purple:
    I created a test image:
    http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/5580/testt.png
To see this issue take a shot of this image (my monitor is color calibrated EIZO) while little out-of-focus to prevent moire. You will get something like this:
    http://rapidshare.com/files/203548885/IMG_1960.CR2
Cool. Open the RAW image in LightRoom and try to increase the Exposure to +2.00. You will get this:
    http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/9797/img1960h.jpg
Do you see the purple part in the first line that should be blue? Try the same correction in any other RAW processor and you will see only pure blue without any purple. So what is wrong with LightRoom? Yes, you can correct the purple issue by calibrating the blue color in the LightRoom but I don’t want to mess up the blue to correct this issue.
The camera alone has no problem with increasing the exposure to +2 with the same shot:
    http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/1267/img1959.jpg
There is no difference if you shoot to sRGB or AdobeRGB for this issue.
Some of my friends also told me they are not using LightRoom because they get purple sky when processing RAWs from Canons.
Why I do such silly tests? It’s simple. Download this RAW:
    http://rapidshare.com/files/203548884/_MG_1890.CR2
Try to correct the exposure in LightRoom while retaining the blue backlight. It’s hard work! And again – other RAW processors have no problems with this file.

Well, it is fact that Lightroom processes saturation of colors in a way that show very, very similar deficiencies "hue shifts" like the CIELAB color space.
It's a fact there are deficiencies in Lab. Where mixing white light with a monochromatic light does not produce a constant hue, and Lab assumes it does. The effect is seen as a yellow/blue issue. But it doesn't result in all cases if those building the product correct for this. Years ago, most (many) ICC output profiles produced a visisble blue shift towards magenta but today it's rare as the profile makers handle this in their color engines. I know of no such issue with LR nor have heard it reported until this post. That isn't to say such a shift can or does occur, but blaming it on CIELAB probably isn't the right place to be poking around.

Blinking lights? I had previous messages of a low internal battery. The light sequence says cpu. other inquries say internal battery can't start up the computer?

    Good Morning JDLWI,
I see that the lights blink 9 times slowly and there is no code for that sequence.

  • Kitkat upgrade is the worst ever.  I hate the messaging white background. I hate the white blinking light that is so very small you cannot tell if you have messages. My phone plays music every minute. I can't find how to disable this feature.  I get hundr

I hate the new KitKat upgrade. I hate the messaging white background. I hate the loss of the green blinking light in the left upper corner.   I do not know why music plays whenever I get an email.  I get hundreds of emails to my device and it plays music and is driving me crazy.  How do I disable this?  I went through all my settings and cannot find where this may be set.  It's a bust if you ask me for the Android system. Booooo

An update should only improve your device performance mistygirl1209. I'm sorry to hear you don't like the aesthetics of the new OS. Although we work closely with manufacturers and OS developers, we don't produce the devices, operating systems or updates. I want to help you fix the email issue. What make and model device is this? What type of music are you referring to? What type of emails are these? Are there attachments in them?

  • The way of changing color in blinking lights

Hi. Please tell me the way of changing color in blinking lights.
    in the present program,
There is a slider and it's property node with blinking and Fillcolor.
Property node with Fillcolor conected color box with blue.
so, I run program then slider turn on and off and showing blue and yellow.
I want to change the yellow to another color!!
I am look forward to your response!

    Hi Kazu
    There are two ways:
    1. You can change the blink color in the LV-options (tools >> options >> color), which is a general setting.
    2. You make a little vi that changes the color of the control using a property-node. This way is more flexible, as you can use every color.
    Hope this helps.

  • HP Officejet H470 - Blinking Lights

I have a mobile HP Officejet H470 printer.  I have had several issues lately with blinking lights, I find a fix, do it and other lights seem to start blinking then.  This time it is the resume light and the right ink cartridge light.  it cycles like this..... the resume light is green, then red, then the right ink cartridge blinks, then starts over.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

When the resume and right cartridge lights blink, it means that the ink reservoir is full. You need to replace the reservoir and then reset the printer. You can find instructions in this document.

  • HP 6735s- Blinking lights of certain peril!!!!

My HP 6735s is flipping out(descriptive...).
After coming back from work with my laptop, I push the power button and to my dismay all the lights just kept blinking(caps lock, cdrom drive light, cd rom drive motor, cdrom drive laser, hard drive amber light) except for the wireless and power button indicators. The cpu fan also just runs, and the cdrom is consistently looping through trying to read a disc which doesn't exist.
I am not sure what happened but I think my laptop is in a confused hardware state. Is there a way to do a hard reset or to verify that the bios is still responding to input on powering the machine? Is there a guide available for showing what all the blinking lights mean when they are shown in a particular combination, so that the system can be diagnosed ?
    Cheers!

    Hi there,
I have the same problem with two hp printers i left in my mothers custody while overseas! Both of them when you turn them on just some of the lights flash and either nothing appears on the screen, or the other one the screen goes blue and then stays plain bue.
What do you mean by restore the bios first?
    Thanks a bunch!
