HPUX  - can't load Perf Pack - WLS 5.1

What is the name of the Perf Pack .sl? I'm not sure I have it but I
have nativeIO turned on in the weblogic.properties file and have the
SHLIB_PATH
set to where the hpux libs are. Also, the file permissions look good as
well. This is WLS 5.1 SP8.
The Performance Pack couldn't be loaded- - here's the skinny:

Mike,
This is a known problem with SP 8. You may want to go to SP 10.

  • I can't load Family pack of original iWork on a new iMac. I've only used 3 of 5 computers. It keeps telling me to go buy it. What's going on?

I have a 2007 iMac with the original version of iWork. I purchased a family pak (5 computers) and have only used 3. My wife just got her first Mac. When I put the disc in, I am unable to load it without being directed to purchase it again. I know it's about 4 years old, but what the heck. Any advice?

An old version of iWork may not be compatible with Mac OS X 10.6, so that might be why you're getting the message. What version of iWork do you have?

  • Socket BEA-000438 Unable to load performance pack.....

We are very familiar with this message and in general know how to resolve this.
We are seeing this on WLS 10.3.4 64 bit, on AIX 7.1, on Java 1.6 64 bit SR9_FP1.
The weird thing is that if we switch to Java 1.6 SR9 (not FP1) things are fine. First level of Oracle support was flabbergasted that some one is running WLS 10.3.4 on AIX 7.1 !!!!!! Anyway, that confusion is all taken care of now. Technically, this is a supported version. But still no good answer, other than a suggestion to contact IBM (the Java vendor). That is going to be a mountain to climb.
Anyone has any thoughts? Why would this version of Java find it difficult to load the .so files?
    Thanks

    Hi all,
I'm getting the following error when starting up my WebLogic 9.1 server instance on Solaris 10. I've recently upgraded from Sun's JVM to JRockit 26.3. I do not get this error when using Sun's JVM.

    libjmsc.so libterminalio.so wlauth
    libmuxer.so libweblogicunix1.so wlkeytool
    libnodemanager.so libwlenv.so
I also have a sparc64 directory with the same file names.
    Can anyone shed some light?
    Regards,
    Daniel

JRockit on Solaris is 64-bit so it needs the 64-bit performance pack files, so you need to have $WL_HOME/server/native/solaris/sparc64 in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH instead of $WL_HOME/server/native/solaris/sparc

  • Load order in wls 7 sp4

    Hi,
I have a strange problem with the load order in wls 7.0 sp4. I have 2 ear files
    ear1 and ear2.
I have one war file in each of the ear files. I set the load order of ear1 to
1000 and ear2 to 100. I see the load order in the console correctly, but I dont
see the value in config.xml. So, i edited the value and added it manually.
Even after that, I have the problem where a servlet in the war file of ear1 is
executing ahead of ear2 during startup.
Any ideas to fix the problem?
    thanks

    Alright:
So I wrote up a simple small isolated reproducible test case.
    http://www.niffgurd.com/mark/work/blog/index.html
So this is a bug, and I have filed CR125989, you will need to contact [email protected]
    to follow up on this.

There is synchronization issue between making the changes to the runtime
mbeans via the console and when it is persisted to config.xml. There
    is a 5
minute timer that does the actual persisting. I do believe though that
    if
you shutdown the server gracefully we flush the writes to the config.xml.
So after you manually added the values in config.xml you still are not
seeing the load order being honored?
    So:
    ear1 LoadOrder=1000
    ear2 LoadOrder=100
You want ear2 to be loaded first and then ear1 to be loaded second?
Can you attach your config.xml and your portion of weblogic log that
    shows
    deployment?
    cheers

    Thanks,
    Tim Perrigo

This happens with WebLogic every time when Windows version changes:
in 1.3.1 system property "os.name" is "windows 2000" when running on XP, and
in 1.4 it is "windows XP". Since Windows names are hardcoded somewhere in
    WebLogic,
and it doesn't know anything about Windows XP, it thinks that it is running
    on Unix and
attempts to load Posix performance pack (as you can see in the exception
    stacktrace).
You can fix this by adding -Dos.name="windows 2000" to the command line.

  • Unable to load performance pack, using Java I/O instead

I'm writing because we're having some troubles with the performance pack load.
We're getting this error message when the server starts:
    <Feb 1, 2005 11:30:26 AM CST> <Error> <Performance Pack> <Unable to load performance pack, using Java I/O instead.
Please ensure that libmuxer library is in /bea/jdk131/jre/bin/../lib/PA_RISC2.0/native_threads:/bea/jdk131/jre/bin/../lib/PA_RISC2.0/server:/bea/jdk131/jre/bin/../lib/PA_RISC2.0:/siven/shlib:/bea/wlserver/lib/hpux11:/bea/wlserver/lib/hpux11/oci816_8:/usr/lib
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: getBuildTime
We have checked the following things:
1.- The library libmuxer.sl exists in the path: /bea/wlserver/lib/hpux11
2.- The file has the correct privileges so it can be read by the server
3.- We've run an 'nm -o libmuxter.sl |grep getBuildTime' to ensure that the method exists in the library
We have four managed servers running in the same machine and the error message apears only in one of them.
Any idea of what might be happening?
Does any one know on what OS librarys depends libmuxer.sl?
    We're running WebLogic Server 6.1 SP6 on HP-UX 11.0

That's very odd that the same machine has 4 servers and only 1 sees this
    error.
I'm assuming they all have the same environment/user etc. If not,
that's the first thing you should check.
I wonder if this is a resource issue in the OS. If you start a 5th
server, does it also see this error? Is it the 4th server you start
that hits this error, or just one of the 4 you run?

    Dear friends,
I am seeking help from you. When we start WL60 SP2 on Sun Soloris 5.6, we got

Hoever, the server itself started, and our applications runs ok
(at least so far). But this exception appears every time on some user accounts.
I was wondering what causes this exception. Some user accounts in the same machine
    don't have this problem.
I also wondering if it will cause performance problem when the traffic is high.
    We already applied the patches.
Any hits and suggestions are welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Deyan,
Thanks for your help. We do have $WEBLOGIC_HOME/lib/solaris in LD_LIBRARY_PATH,
which is set when running ". setEnv.sh" before startWebLogic.sh.
We failed on one patch: 105210-27, for some reason.
The strange thing is: in the same machine, all WL60 instances running under user
accounts (under /users/developers/) have no such error. But it happens under some
account, like accounts under /export/home/, etc. /user/developers is mounted on
    another physical machine.

You should have the $WEBLOGIC_HOME/lib/solaris directory in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    so that
the server can load the performance pack (which is a shared library called
    libmuxer.so).
If it is present then do a ldd libmuzer.so and you will see if any libraries
    that it
    depends on are missing.
Also make sure you have all of the requered patches for 2.6 installed.

  • Can't enable performance pack on Linux

I am trying to enable the performance pack on Linux 7.1 with
WebLogic Server 5.1 sp 12, but see the following in the log
    when I start the server:
Unable to load performance pack, using Java I/O.
I have tried setting the java.library.path to point to the linux
.so folders (per BEA documentation), but still does not seem to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If memory serves, on Windows it's $PATH.
On Solaris and Linux, it's $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    On HP-UX, it's $SHLIB_PATH

  • Fully Loaded Entertainment Pack on mobile?

So, I just added the Fully Loaded Entertainment Pack (HBO, Cinemax, Showtime...).  What are my options for receiving content on my Android phone?  I see there is an HBO GO and a Cinemax GO app.  It appears the Fios On Demand app and the On Demand content that is in the DVR Manager app are just Fios demand movies.  Is there anyway to view all of the other On Demand content I get from channels like Showtime, Encore... on my Android?

    Hello,
The  options that are available for your Android phone is in the link below. Unfortunately there are no apps for Showtime or Encore at this time, however depending on the phone you have I am sure you can view the video from the site itself.

  • How can I load my data faster?  Is there a SQL solution instead of PL/SQL?

    11.2.0.2
    Solaris 10 sparc
I need to backfill invoices from a customer. The raw data has 3.1 million records. I have used pl/sql to load these invoices into our system (dev), however, our issue is the amount of time it's taking to run the load - effectively running at approx 4 hours. (Raw data has been loaded into a staging table)
My research keeps coming back to one concept: sql is faster than pl/sql. Where I'm stuck is the need to programmatically load the data. The invoice table has a sequence on it (primary key = invoice_id)...the invoice_header and invoice_address tables use the invoice_id as a foreign key. So my script takes advantage of knowing the primary key and uses that on the subsequent inserts to the subordinate invoice_header and invoice_address tables, respectively.
My script is below. What I'm asking is if there are other ideas on the quickest way to load this data...what am I not considering? I have to load the data in dev, qa, then production so the sequences and such change between the environments. I've dummied down the code to protect the customer; syntax and correctness of the code posted here (on the forum) is moot...it's only posted to give the framework for what I currently have.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated; how can I load the data faster knowing that I need to know sequence values for inserts into other tables?

    Hello
You could use insert all in your case and make use of sequence.NEXTVAL and sequence.CURRVAL like so (excuse any typos - I can't test without table definitions). I've done the first 2 tables, so it's just a matter of adding the rest in...

    1. Don't commit in a loop - you only add to the run time and load on the box ultimately reducing scalability and removing transactional integrity. Commit once at the end of the job.
    2. Make sure you specify the list of columns you are inserting into as well as the values or columns you are selecting. This is good practice as it protects your code from compilation issues in the event of new columns being added to tables. Also it makes it very clear what you are inserting where.
    3. If you use WHEN OTHERS THEN... to log something, make sure you either rollback or raise the exception. What you have done in your code is say - I don't care what the problem is, just commit whatever has been done. This is not good practice.

  • Can we load data using .xls in user define format(without using default template)

    Hi All,
I'm new bee to FDM. Part of HFM support i use FDM to load flatfile data. Just has a bit more knowledge than end user.
Requirement is that i need to load data from MS excel to Planning application via FDM.
Previously application is in Excel(Macro driven) and upstream(data) is also in Excel(multi tab).
As of my knowledge data can be loaded from .csv file(Excel save as CSV) with single tab.
Could you please let me know possibilities to load data from .xls(.xlsx) to FDM.
    Thanks in advance.

If you want to load data using Excel, utilising FDM's out-of-the-box functionality you will have to use one of the templates supplied i.e. Excel Trial Balance or Excel Multi-load template.
