HPWSProAdapter: Error 1053

Hello,
I noticed today that on my Web Jetadmin server (v10.3 SR6, Windows 2008) the HPWSProAdapter service was not running. I tried to start it and got the following error:
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion
After a few hours reseaching I cannot find what is causeing this issue. There have been no major changes lately that I now of. I tried uninstalling all windows updates for the last month and a half but that didn't change anything. 
I also tried setting the service account up to use a network service account instead of the default "Network Service".
Any ideas for what might be causing this issue and what I can do to fix it?

    I have a BIG problem...cannot install 12.1.0.71...The install gets about 90% thru and then I get the error....Windows could NOT start Apple Mobile Device Services error 1053...The Service did not respond......after trying all the solutions I found online I called Apple support and paid 99$(which was not refunded) and two of their techs...the supposed top level Cathy...was unable to help....after two hours of work....they can remotely see and guide me as to what to try and it was mostly what was published online at apple support re how to really uninstall Itunes properly which we did about 6 times...and still it would not get past the "windows could not startt AMDS and errors 1053 and service did not respond and error 7 win error 193 and itunes helper not installed correctly....those later errors occur when you ignore that AMDS did not start...etc....
    So I am kind of stuck....
    Other things we tried....Disable Norton....Clean the registry using Norton Utilities....No other hidden Viruses around all clear on that....Win 7 totally updated....used the windows service that checks just about every kind of possible bug in system from the MS site...no help there...
    In the whole process I lost the ability to restore to an earlier version that worked that disappeared off the restore calendar.
    SO HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????

    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
    If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
    iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
    which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
    Or roll back to the previous build:
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)

    1. Change the startup type to manual in the windows service panel
    2. Restart the Windows 2000 PC
    3. Start the Oracle service by clicking the start button in the services window.
    4. It will hit the same error ie 1053..
    5. Now kill the oracle process using windows Task Manager
    6 Once again go back to services window and click the start button
    7. It will show the status meter window with a close button..
    8. After the status meter crosses halfway hit the close button..
    9. Your oracle process is started now..

  • Error 1053 when trying to upgrade from BOE 3.0 Fix Pack 3 to BOE 3.1 Update

    Hi! I am trying to upgrade my BOE 3.0 FP3 Server to 3.1 (Update package, not full 3.1 install). The upgrade goes very well, and for a very long time, up until the very end. At the end when it tries to restart the Tomcat service it throws an error 1053 with the following message.
    The Apache Tomcat 5.5.20 service failed to start due to the following error:
    The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
    I also get this same message if I try to start the service through Control Panel -->  services or through CCM. The event viewer shows this message also in addition to the following..
    Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the Apache Tomcat 5.5.20 service to connect.
    Has anyone seen this before or know if this is a known error? I am hoping for a workaround so I dont have to backout or reinstall!

    Hi Antonio,
    Following information might help you to resolve the issue.
    Solution1:
    To resolve this behavior, use Computer Management to update the user profile so it is a member of the Administrators group, and then reboot the server to validate your changes.
    Solution2:
    You can disable DEP or add services to it:
    1.Right-click on My Computer and select Properties.
    2.Click the Advanced tab.
    3.In the Performances section click Settings.
    4.Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.
    5.Use the Add button on the bottom to add the service's executables and ensure the box is checked. Do this for each Crystal Enterprise service.
    Alternatively, you can disable DEP by checking the Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only option. By doing so, it will disable DEP to all applications on the machine including Business Objects.

  • TS1567 Itunes wont download because Apple Mobile Device cannot be used due to error 1053

    i bought an ipod touch 4th generation for my friend. She could not download Itunes beacause of the Apple mobile device not being able to activate due to an ''error 1053''... That error is something about not having the correct amdinistator privileges. I tried to run the download as the administrator but i needed the administrator password she said that she cant remember the password, actually she said that there was never a password. Is there maybe a way to dowload the Apple Mobile Device again so that she can download Itunes?

    I am having trouble running AIR applications with Flex SDK 4.0 (and 4.1). Here is what I am doing:
    On OS X 10.6.4 using eclipse with Flex Builder 3 installed I create a new flex project with AIR.
    I have eclipse setup to use the SDK flex_sdk_4.1.0.16076.
    I clean the project and run it and get a window telling me:
    VerifyError: Error #1053: Illegal override of isRelatedObjectInaccessible in RemappedMouseEvent.
    The application fails to start after that.
    When I switch SDKs to Flex SDK 3.3.0.4852 and clean, the applications starts as expected.
    I have tried to run adl from the command line using the artifacts in the bin-debug folder and I get the same error.
    I am stumped here, does anyone know what else I can try?

    Hi Lucas,
    Are you running into this error when compiling a brand new flex project for AIR?  If so, I suspect something went wrong with your AIR overlay.  Please see the How to Overlay the AIR SDK for use with the Flex SDK tech doc.  Note that these instructions reference AIR 1.5, but they are the same for AIR 2.
    Let me know if you have any questions about the overlay process or if you've already done all this.

  • Windows Service Error 1053 - Service did not respond to start or control request

    I'm presuming it's logging on as a domain user.  Has that user got "Logon as a Service" rights?

    I've been working on this issue with our developers for the past week, and so far we're stumped. We have a Windows Service that was created in-house to process our customers imaging requests with assured delivery that are past the start date. We currently have this service, and a few others like it, running on 12 different bus servers. The servers all run .NET Framework 4.5, and all the other servers run it with no problem. This particular service bus gives us the "Error 1053" as so on as we try to start the service. I've increased the timeout to 60 seconds, but it was set at 30 before and it times out IMMEDIATELY after pressing start. I've uploaded the .config file we use. I modified the IP addresses for security reasons. The service logs on with an administrator password that has domain access rights. We've tested the connectivity...

    I've installed a BI7.0 (ABAP only) instance on cluster with :
    windows 2003 x64 SP2
    SQL server 2005 x64 SP2
    WAS 7.00 kernel 80
    *the service runs with domain user.
    I've upgraded to kernel 114 (latest). After the upgrade the ASCS service doesn't start. It throws error:
    "Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control
    request in a timely fashion"
    To solve this problem I've tried:
    -go back to kernel 80 but I still get the same error.
    -start the service manually on the second node. Still same error.
    -restart the two servers and try again to start the service on the
    nodes.
    Any ideas ?

    I have Flex Data Service on Tomcat 4.1. (i.e. extracted
    flex.war in webapps/flex directorry of tomcat. "webapps/flex - flex
    directory is created inside the webapps"). Tried with the request
    for a sample mxml in the browser and able to see an swf file
    creation out of that and i am able to get that swf file in the
    browser. Thats fine.
    Now my scenario is as below:
    I request a sample html, in which an embedded sample swf with
    only one button on it. The request is to asp.net application. The
    request url is :
    http://localhost/FirstSite/Sample.html.
    I am able to get the initial swf file with this.
    Now on click of a button i will send request to an aspx page
    which again sends a request for an mxml to the tomcat (say tomcat
    has Sample2.mxml) as,

    see the different swcs inside there? The current sdk is 4.0.1?
    And the wrong version of RSL, what's that by the way.

  • Project Server jobs going to "Waiting to be processed" state after resolving Error:1053 in virtual environment.

    I am using project server 2007 in virtual environment. Before some time, my project server queue service was not starting & it gave Error: 1053. Then server team made some small changes in registry & resolved the problem. After that queue service
    was in running condition. But when any job goes into queue, it processed the job first, then after some processing, it goes into "waiting to be processed", and after some time it again starts processing. So, the project server queue is working very
    very slow. I restarted queue, event, sql, timer services, but no benefit.
    In log it is showing "Queue unable to interact with SQL.".
    Please Help....

  • Urgent - Host Instances not starting. Error 1053 , In Biztalk Server 2010 Environment

    Hi,
    All host instances are down and when we try to start them we get the following error:
    Windows could not start the Biztalk Service Biztalk Group :
    HOST_NAME service on Local Computer.
    Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion
    We already restarted SQL, SSO and BizTalk. Any suggestions?
    What is the impact of doing a BizTalk repair? Do I lose anything?

    Hello,
    It's been 1 day that I am trying to resolve an issue
    I did a clean up of my project and part of the clean up has been to switch my swf from FP 9 to FP 10
    I have one SWF (FP 10) that loading another SWF (FP 10)
    Whenever its trying to load the second one now I have
    VerifyError: Error #1053: Illegal override of release_vars in com.videoplayer.RELEASES.MAIN_JUKEBOX_****.
    The original release_vars function look like

    Nothing crazy
    it was working fine
    Any ideas ?

    When I am trying to run an application as Web Application from Flash Builder 4.6, I receive the next error message:

    It is worth to mention that the "html" file, that is generated by Flash Builder, and the one, that is generated after runnung a dedicated "bat" file, are exactly the same (compared them in Beyond Compare).So I assume the problem is in the environment (SDK?).
    While compiling the application I have received the next warnings, maybe this is somehow connected to the run time error or may help to identify it?
    1. 'handler' has been deprecated.  Please use 'function clickHandler'.
    2. 3608: 'Stroke' has been deprecated since 4.0.  Please use 'SolidColorStroke'.
    3. Dashboard.staticLayout has been deprecated. Use staticLayout property of the view block instead.
    4. Data binding will not be able to detect assignments to "_objectPropertySection".

  • FIM Password Reset Client Service error 1053 when starting service - what is the minimum permissions set?

    Hi,
    I've installed Password Reset Client Service on a machine with locked down GPO settings. Now, service, running under NETWORK_SERVICE account doesn't start (Service Control Manager reports error 1053 after waiting 30 seconds for the service to respond during
    start).
    If I change service account to some other account (i.e. domain account), service runs fine and I am able to reset password successfully, so there is no issues with password reset infrastructure, firewall, etc..). Problem is only with NETWORK SERVICE not
    having enough permission to do its job.
    Unfortunately, there is no event log entries in neither of relevant event logs (Application, Security, System, Forefront Identity Manager) that would provide additional information on why service doesn't start. ProcessMonitor tracing revealed only, that
    service cannot access some of the registry entries. After granting permissions, service still refuses to start.
    What I'd like to know is there a list of permissions, configuration entries, that NETWORK SERVICE needs in order to run normally?
    If that is not available, does anybody have any idea, how to find out what is preventing NETWORK SERVICE account from running that service?

    The above often solves it because this disabled CRL checking for the account running the service. As the service is the network service, it has no scope off of the box, so the machine account is typically used and many shops have policies in place that prevent
    this. If the above entry doesn't help, try using your account as the service account. If that works, then its probably a syntax problem with above entry. If it fails with your account too then its most likely not CRL checking.  There is
    a registry key that can be configured that could assist:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \System \CurrentControlSet \Control]
    ServicesPipeTimeout = 30000
    Try setting this to another value higher than 30000. This value is milliseconds. I would also look at network capture and verify if we are indeed attempting to go to the Internet during service startup.
