You have done very good test. Graphic card is OK and troublemaker is LCD display.
On eBay you can find it pretty cheap.
    Can you exchange it alone?

  • Screen goes black and I get steady beeps

I have a 2004 HP Pavilion a600n, AMD processor with Window XP SP3 and 1 gb of ram. I have no viruses or spyware due to running McAfee, Malwarebytes, Spybot, Spyware Blaster, and Advanced System care.
My pc starts fine, but after about an hour, the screen goes black, and I get a series of steady beeps about a second long. There are no short, long beeps. Just steady short beeps and a black screen.
I am forced to shut down via the power button. When I try to restart, the beeping occurs again, and the monitor light remains orange.
I will let my pc sit for a day or two, and I can start it back up, the monitor light is green then, but after an hour, the whole process starts over.
I have no way of knowing if it's ram, video, or fans. My video is built into the motherboard.
I will run PC Doctor and clean the dust out of the fans, etc.
But I do not have a lot of money to just randomly go about replacing parts. Does anyone have any idea what is the  most likely culprit?
Thank you in advance for any help.

  • Hey ppl,my macbook is not booting and by that i mean u can hear the audio wave when its starting up,the screen goes white and then after a while there's a folder with a question mark in the middle of the screen...anyone,any ideea?!?

Hey ppl,my macbook is not booting and by that i mean u can hear the audio wave when its starting up,the screen goes white and then after a while there's a folder with a question mark in the middle of the screen...anyone,any ideea?!?Regards.

That folder with the question mark icon means that the MacBook can't find the boot directory. That can either mean it can't find the hard drive or the hard drive data is somehow corrupted.
Put your install DVD into the drive and reboot. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option key until the Install Disk shows up). That will force your MacBook to boot from the optical drive.
Once it has finished booting and you are at the Install screen launch Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is then select the First Aid Tab run Repair Disk and if that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions.
If your hard drive isn’t recognized in Disk Utility then your hard drive is probably dead.

  • Screen goes pink ....

Screen goes pink with static lines and MBP freezes up.  Typically happens when opening iPhoto. Going on for 2 months now, becoming unusable.  Is this a hardware or software fault?

It would be hardware.  Do you see the problem anywhere else?
Try changing graphic processors to isolate the issue: http://codykrieger.com/gfxCardStatus
You can run the Apple Hardware Test, but I do not see this a definitive answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1509
I would take it to an Apple Retail Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider  (AASP) for evaluation, or call your nearest Apple Contact Center. Visit the Genius Bar at the Apple Retail Store,  make a reservation.

  • My MBP's screen goes pink

When I plugged the charger and turn the power on, my mid 2009 MBP's screen goes pink completely.
I thought it caused by software problems so I restart, but the screen is still pink.
    What should I do now?

It may be that the MBP overheated and that the internal shut down was engaged.  Run an Apple Hardware Test and see if it develops any issues:

    Ciao.
The test may have to be started by pressing the OPTION D keys.

  • Late 2008 MacBook Pro 17" frozen with pink and green pixels

    Hi all,
Hope someone can point me in the right direction with my Macbook Pro problem. I have a late 2008 version of the 17" MacBook Pro. I've been using it today and it's been completely fine. that was up until I was uploading my recent holiday photos to iPhoto. I left it to upload and came to check on it after 5 minutes. I found the program had frozen and pink and green pixels were spotted all over the screen.
I turned the laptop off by the power button. When I started her up again I found the white screen with the pink and green pixels everywhere and apple logo appear. It starting booting and then just stopped. the screen froze and nothing was working. I've tried booting up in safe mode and again it just freezes.
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated as I'm lost without my computer. I've included a photo I've taken if the frozen screen.
    Many Thanks,
    Dean.

According to MacBook Pro (Early 2008 and Late 2008) - Technical Specifications you have a model with
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics processor with dual-link DVI support and 512MB of GDDR3 memory
Dual display and video mirroring: Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 2560 by 1600 pixels on an external display, both at millions of colors
    DVI output port
VGA output using included DVI to VGA adapter
    Built-in iSight camera
The 8600M GT has several recalls for GPUs, which had a 4-year free repair from date of purchase. It may be too late in your case. You can find the recall notices via internet search if you want to.
You should run the AHT -Using Apple Hardware Test
Please see MacBook Pro: Distorted video or no video issues

  • MBP 15" freezes with solid pink and green pixels running across display

This happens every time I boot the machine. Randomly the machine will freeze and the display will show pink and green diagonal pixels running through whatever application is open.
I'm guessing this is going to be a send back issue. Anybody know anything about this?
I've had the machine for less than 12 hours and this is my first mac. This is very discouraging. Earlier I was furious because it makes the machine totally unusable.

No, it's definitely not supposed to do that.
    Seeing as you can't do much until tomorrow - a couple of things you could try;
    a) check the ram is pushed all the way in.
    b) Create a new user account - test - and see if it persists there.
    b) If a and b doesn't work - try a full clean install of OSX. I once had a PB that did odd things out of the box but was ok after a clean install of OSX from a disc. I assumed the disc image was compromised.
    Best of luck

  • Why is my screen going blue and not chargeing

my little girl was chargeing her ipod and the screen went pink then green then blue and now it wont charde or do nothing what happened to it

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Computer Screen going blank and computer not responding

I have had a problem when in the middle of doing something my computer screen goes blue and all you can do is power it down. Any suggestions??

That didn't work. On trying to install a new driver I got the error the graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware. Is there anything else that can be done to at least prevent the hanging of the computer even if it means less features from Firefox being available?

  • I have OSX 10.5.7 on my Intel Mac. When I try to login using the correct password the screen goes white and just returns back to the login screen. It does not jiggle like when you enter the wrong password.

I have had a number of issues with my Intel Mac recently and had to reboot using disk utilities, safe mode, OSX recovery, but always come back to the login screen but when I type my password the screen goes white and returns to the login screen. My password is correct and the login does not jiggle as it would if the password was wrong. Please advise,

Back up all data if you haven’t already done so. There are ways to back up, even if you can’t log in. Before proceeding, you must be sure you can restore everything to the state it’s in now. If you’re not sure you can do that, STOP.
The procedure below may spare you the need for a clean reinstallation of OS X. If you don't feel comfortable carrying it out, don't. try.
Briefly, you need to delete the following file:
    /var/audit/current
If you already know how to do that, you can skip the rest of this message. Do it, and try again to log in.
Boot in single-user mode by holding down the key combination command-S at the startup chime. If you’re using an external USB keyboard, it must be plugged directly into a built-in port on the Mac, not into a hub. Release the keys when you see a black screen with scrolling white text. In this mode, there’s no graphical interface; just a command line. Initially, you can’t make any changes to files.
When the text stops scrolling, and you see a line ending in a pound sign (“#”), type the following command:
    mount -uw /
You must type the command exactly as given, with no mistakes. If you don’t feel able to do that, STOP. At this stage, no harm will be done if you make a mistake, but later, it will be. Press the return key.
    Next, type the following command:
    rm -i /var/audit/current
Press return. You should get the following output:
    remove /var/audit/current?
If that's not what you get, STOP. Type the single letter N, press return, and try again. Otherwise, type the single letter Y and pressreturn.
    Finally, enter the command:
    exit
Press return. The text will start scrolling again, and then the system will reboot. Try again to log in.

  • Screen Goes Black and Hangs when browsing by Artist, Album, Song, etc.

I'm having a fairly huge issue with Front Row:
I can play video files (although their is a moment of hangtime between selecting a video and the video actually playing) and music files (if I choose the "Shuffle Songs" option), however, when I choose to browse my music by artists, albums, songs, genres, etc. my screen goes black and stays that way until I hit CMD+Q over and over until it finally quits. Furthermore, when I do play music via "Shuffle Songs" and quit out of Front Row, the music continues to play in the background and cannot be stopped, paused, etc.
Is there anyone out there who can help me fix this? I love Front Row and use it all the time and it would be a shame not to be able to anymore..
    Thanks in advance,
    Corey

I have a similar problem. When browsing music the screen goes to black or just freezes on whatever was beeing displayed for maybe 30 seconds to a minute before continuing. It happens quite often. I am running the latest version of Front Row on a brand new Mac Mini. I have a very large iTunes music folder (about 830 gigabytes of uncompressed AIFF files) running on an external FW800 drive. I tried repairing permissions and a number of Front Row and a few iTunes files appear in the list. However, when I run repair permissions again, the same files are still listed so obviously if they need to be repaired, it's not happening. I tried repairing the volume (no problems found) and repairing permissions from the Install disc but the result was identical.
