Custom dynamic names for outbound payment files in R12

I have asked this on a couple of forums, but somehow missed this one.
We are upgrading from 11i to R12 and require custom dynamic file names for the Payments output files (cheques, advices, efts). I see that you can create a custom prefix and extension through payment profiles, but the functionality is very limited (i.e. no date stamp). I am thinking that others must have come across this before, and am wondering how you have handled such a requirement. Is it possible to add custom steps to the seeded payment process? Can the payment process be run as part of a request set and then a custom step added which grabs the output file and renames it based on information obtained from the batch and the process profile. Our goal is a fully automated payment process where batches are scheduled, processed and files renamed and sent out to banks and a 3rd party printer with no user interventation.
Any advice/tips would be appreciated.

Custom Domain name for Azure virtual machine using azure websites

Hie, I am using a cloud service (e.g cloud1) and it has a hosted VM in it (Windows server 2012). It is having a URL cloud1.cloudapp.net. So I want to use the domain name (e.g azuresite1.azurewebsites.net)created from azure.
So how do I add the Cname record and everything in this setup .
I already tried to use
this but that didn't work
What additional steps are required to add custom domain name to an azure virtual machine and, the custom domain name is also an azure website

If you want to use azuresite1.zurewebsites.net then i think, you have to create a azurewebsite. If you have a custom domain then following should work.
You have findout the IP that is attached to the VM.
Point your domain name to that IP (using domain dashboard)
Now your domain points to whatever the site hosted on the VM (port 80)
If you have more sites then, you have specify HostName for the site which you want to use with domain name.

Custom host-name for web application SharePoint 2010

I am facing a weird behavior. Can anyone help me regarding this?
Steps performed:
1. Created a web application using custom host name.
2. Created a site collection using "Blank" site template. Nothing issues.
3. Created another site collection using "Publishing" site template. Authentication prompt came multiple times. IIS logs/Fiddler/HTTP Watch are full with 401 entries.
4. Added the custom host-name with web server IP in local desktop hosts file(which is in intranet domain). Prompt issue fixed.
5. Authentication mode set as NTLM.

After you created a web application with a custom host name, if you got a prompt for the user and you may face the following issues:
There is continuous prompt for the credentials
HTTP 401.1 error
This shows that there is a problem with the Loopback configuration. This situation should occur only when we access the application from the server machine.
For fixing the problem, we have to disable the Loopback value inside the registry.Open the Registry Editor (regedit.exe) and locate the following key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa, and create a new Key Value of type DWORD inside
it and set the value to 1.

Changing the xml name for forms

Hi,
I am using XML forms. I am facing an issue with the autogenerated name of the document.
I go to a folder ->new->form->choose an xml form, fill it up and save.
The form gets saved and displayed with a autogenerated (long) name with the.xml extension.
I am having 2 portals on which this is working.
1. on one portal, if i click on the link to the .xml file, the file opens as an xml. Only when i choose edit from the context menu of the file the form opens in the edit mode
2. in the other portal, if i click on the link to the file or choose edit from the context menu, the editable form opens
I want know a few things in this context:
1. Can I choose the name of the xml form created without having to rename the file?
2. Why is the form display different in two portals? Is this configured? If so, where?
3. If i want to use a form only for news items and should not be accessible within folders, is it possible to do that? If yes, how?
Could someone kindly help me with these queries?

If u create a forms in xml forms builder and if u dont reference name property from the property schema to any one of the label what u had created in your edit form then following warning occurs
The Name property is not referenced. A GUID will be used as the XML file name.
in this case whenu create further forms from the folder->new ->forms--->urform and when u store this form in the folder u can find something like this 5565656hdhdhhdh.xml
instead if u create a name label in your edit form and reference it to property schema Name then u wont get the above warning message and when u store ur form in the folder then it will stored as for eg:comapany news i.e the value what the user had entered in the name field of edit form.
I think this name field by default is set to mandatory ---> yes in the properties of the label , if not set then make it yes.

How do I create custom subject lines for form responses?

We want our forms to be able to generate a custom subject line--each time someone puts in a request. Gmail threads everything together with the same subject line so when we get e-mail notifications when someone submits a form we often miss these because multiple notifications get threaded together. This could be solved if we can customize the headlines. Do you know how to do this?

How to specify custom table name for subclasses in Kodo 3?

I'm migrating our codes from Kodo 2.5.x to version 3.
In Kodo 2.x, specifying the class/subclass table name uses the extension
like this "@jdo.extension vendor-name="kodo" key="table"
value="DyeStuffs"" when using XDoclet to generate the .jdo metadata files.
It no longer works in Kodo 3. Following the Kodo's documentation, I have
upgraded XDoclet to 1.2b3 and changed all doclet tags to the ones that
XDoclet understands.
I noticed in the documentation, to specify custom table mapping, it uses
nested vendor extensions. E.g
<extension vendor-name="kodo" key="jdbc-class-map" value="vertical">
<extension vendor-name="kodo" key="table" value="TABLOID"/>
<extension vendor-name="kodo" key="ref-column.JDOID"
value="MAG_ID"/>
</extension>
So how do I specify nested extensions when using with XDoclet's tags?
Need help as I have to complete the migration by end of the week.

Yes, that is exactly what I want.

    in DD03L table.
2. DEPTH
3. Normally this field will be blank.
4. In your case,
   u have 2 common fields.
eg. F2
5. Then
   it will be like this in table
   F2 - space
   F2 - 1
6. The second entry is for DEPTH.

How to Enable Custom Java Scripts for forms in Planning 11.1.2.2

I am working on Planning 11.1.2.2 right now.
Planning admin guide says, there is no explicit requirement to enable java Script for planning forms.
I set simple alert to see text "Hello World" in function validateForm() function in custom/validateData.js file - to see and test that alert when I save data for my selected application/form.
Closed javascript file and workspace, and planning application web page. Since I have not to do anything new to enable this java script alert, I opened that form and saved data to see if I can see my alert.. I got no alert, except "data are saved".
Has anything changed since last version? Am I missing something? Or, do I need to recycle services to get this alert?

Not sure what I missed, but I still have a hard time finding my "Hello World" alert.
What I did, is here.
a. Cleared all cookies and temp files from IE.
b. Updated validateData.js file from ear / war files using 7-zip program at given path from your link.
c. Stopped EPM services
d. Dropped tmp folder.
e. Started EPM services and let system deploy ear file (with my java script code).
All services are up. I can see EAR file deployed and java script file ValidateData.js has all my changes in new tmp folder now.
I am able to open my application and form.
But, my "Hello World" alert is still not appearing. Form is saved and saw message as usual.
One exception I noticed in my path. I have ....user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\EPMServer0\.... in place of ....user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\Planning_0\.... in my path. Planning_0 is replaced by EPMServer0 in this version. Rest is all same.

Names for form fields

I am reading up on forms in GL 7 User Guide. This question is ultra-basic but needs to be asked.
When I create a Text field, the Inspector shows a box I can modify that says "textfieldName."
Similarly:
When I create a Text area, the Inspector shows a box I can modify that says "textareaName."
Do I select and replace the entire "textfieldName" and "textareaName"? Or must I leave in the words "textarea" and "textfield" as some sort of code the program needs?
In other words, can I change "textareaName" to "JoeBlow"? Or must it read "textareaJoeBlow"?

You'd replace the whole name. It's a good idea to use names that:
1. Start with a letter
2. Container only alphanumeric characters and underscores
3. Have no spaces or punctuation

Custom File name for AS2 FA

Hi Gurus,
We have a specific requirement, wherein we are expected to be able to pass a unique file name to all the FA, sent over AS2.
The FAs currently are being handled in B2B.
I also understand that this can be done from the middleware layer ( How to setup filename in AS2 protocol ).
Is it also possible that the same can be done from the B2B itself, probably by using a Callout, so we are able to send it directly from B2B? Please advise.

It will be easier and performance oriented if you do it at middleware. It's my personal opinion that callouts should be used as a last option.

Journal approval for Manual Journals is default feature in Oracle General ledger. Please refer to documentation for implementation steps.
Steps in brief:
1. Setup Employees.
2. Give supervisors to employees.
3. Assign employees to User Ids
4. Give Employee approval limits.
5. Enable Journal approval at Set of books and Source.
