Created a personalization on form

Benefit enrollment form...

Hi Experts,
I am working on the Benefits Enrollment Form (SPRO-> Personnel Management-> Benefits-> Flexible Administration-> Form setup->).
I am using Office Integration of word templates to set up the forms. Could someone guide me how do I populate the fields on it after I exported the template?
Also I am getting the below message when I am opening the form. Any idea what is the error?
"The macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to the online help or documentation of the host application to determine how to enable the macros."

Creating 2 same forms in different application raise error?

Hi all,
I made a copy of a form in System Administrator -> Forms and the bad thing here is that they have the same name but different applications. After that in few minutes i couldn't log in the EBS. Is this the reason or something else?

Drop-down lists Form Calc

Hi,
I am new to Livecycle and am currently updating administration forms to make them interactive. I am having trouble with FormCalc for the expenses form. There are columns for kilometres, rate (drop-down list) and total. Basically I want 'kilometres' x 'rate' to equal 'total'. I can total the kilometres x rate easily if they are both numerical boxes, but once the rate column becomes a drop-down list with three different value options, it will not calculate for me. Do I have to change the formula for drop-down lists?

The issue is the $ sign in the dropdown. By adding the $ sign you are making this a string and not a number. To fix this you can do it in one of two ways. You can remove the dollar sign or you can leave the dolloar sign in plcae and take advantage of how Dropdowns work. You can have a specific value shown (this is the Displayed Value) but then have a completely different value used when asked for the DDList value (this is the data value). So I modified the DDLists to have a different data value (without the $) then modified the command to use the data value for the calculation. I changed the calculation to run on the Calculate event of the Total field. The calculate event will fire when the form loads as well as any time a referenced field in the calculate changes. So when you select a rate the total field will fire automagically!
Oh by the way the data values are set on the binding tab of the DropDown field.

What are the backend requirment? Are we required any administrative tool for performing Portal Administrator Role? I am new to this and not know much more about portal administration. Portal Administration, consists of system administration, content administration,user administration only.
For Portal Administration, Backend is not mandatory, but since the employee data flows from R3, it goes as a Portal critical component.
You don't need any Tools for Portal Administration, you need to have the required authorizations, viz system administration, content administration and user administration that you'll get in User Administration.

Error Message "Form - Modal form is currently active"

This error message appears when our Add-on is connecting and I have the Add-on Administration form open. Are there any suggestions on what can be causing this error message and how to prevent the error message from appearing?

The SBO users will not install the addon themselves / won't be allowed to do it, right? (since the addon is assigned to a company by an admin, and probably started automatically/mandatory at SBO startup(?))
Maybe the easiest solution would be to check if the addon was just installed (if the admin-form is open;) and ask the user for a restart of business one. Since it's only the administrator which will see this message, I personally could live with that.
Anyway it probably has to do with your startup routine since my addon starts regularly when installed via the Addon Administration (form opened at addon start)...

DBMS_ERROR_TEXT failure with Headstart Utilities Admin form

I have installed the Headstart Oracle Designer for Designer/Developer 6.0, following instructions found in the patch for 6.0. Whenever I try to start the Headstart Utilities Administration form, I get an error stating that DBMS_ERROR_TEXT failed. Has anyone else had this problem?

When I run the Utilities Administration against an Oracle 8.1.6.1.0 database on Sun Solaris, I don't have any problems.
Can you run other Headstart generated applications on this database, like the Headstart Demo or the Foundation Application? In other words, is it only the Utilities Admin that gives the error?

Oracle Reports 11.1.2.0.0, [PDF:subset] failed.

Refer to document “How to Use Font Subsetting in Reports for PDF Output [ID 207711.1]” , setup font subset in Oracle Forms 11.1.2.0.0 failed.
Copy simsun.ttf file to <ORACLE_HOME>/reports/fonts.
Add <ORACLE_HOME>/reports/fonts directory to the REPORTS_PATH in reports.sh.
Go to Oracle Enterprise Manager --> Reports Server Home Page
and going through menu options : "Reports --> Administration --> Forms/Reports Common Configuration" page
Add fonts to section PDF Subsetting area like:
Font Mapped Font
"宋体" "simsun.ttf"
Save it.
Check the report, it was not able to display simsun.
And found that the setting "宋体" which setted in EM corrupt in uifont.ali file.
If modify uifont.ali file like below,
[PDF:Subset]
* = "simsun.ttf"
Then the report can display simsun as normal.
I have tested that the issue not occur on windows.
Will any expert can give some advise?

Confirmation of Benefits letter as SMARTFORM

Yes, you can go to IMG -> Personnel Management ->Benefits -> Flexible Administration -> Form Set up ->Assign Templates to Form Types. There you`ll find place for Adobe form as above mentioned by Ted.

Dynamic select list with more than one value?

I am creating a simple CRUD component for our company's Joomla site. This component allows our users to create discount bundles for our cart according to shopper group and products. I've been using Dreamweaver to author the administrator forms and have run into a bit of a problem. All of my forms work properly, but I need to be able to collect two values from each chosen multi-select listing.
Right now, when a user chooses an item under 'products', the site pushes back product_id, one of the variables I need. I would also like product_parent_id to return with each result as well. I need to be able to insert product_parent_id after the user has chosen their desired products. product_parent_id is located in the same table as product_id.
In the end, I need those two values to be pushed to another table, essentially creating a new entry for each product in the bundle. Referenced by ID and parent ID.
