HR administrator to process MSS- PCRs for employees

Hello all,
       We are on SAP ECC 6.0 , EP 7.0 Sp15 and MSS version 600 SP13 .
We are using MSS Personnel change requests like separation , termination etc.
We want HR administrator to intiate PCR for all employees as managers do for employees in their respective org. units they
are heading .
                      We know that in HCM P&F , HR admin can initiate Forms for employees .But since we are already using PCRs , we cant switch to HCM P& F .
                                          Is there any way we could meet this requirement with MSS PCRs .
I feel the only way is if HR admin is at CEO position and is heading all org units , he can process PCRs for all employees .
But this doesn't seems to be workable .
I searched the forum and could find out that we can go for customized application .
any pointers are greatly appreciated.

You can assign manager, Hr admin role as well, and have a custom evaluation path which will populate the
employees he intends to perform the services!

I have a client requirement that payroll should be processed only for those persons for whom ID number (IT0185-ST01) is available. I am trying to do it for Portugal Payroll.
I activated P0185 function in PE04 for Portugal and created 2 rules:

And I put the rules in sequence in the scheme. But the function P0185 doesn't accept rules.
How do I block the processing of payroll for employees who do not have infotype 0185 subtype 01?

if you are not sure about the linking i suggest to just show all roles associated to all the employees,
group by employee
create true/false formula for the role_ids where ONLY your 20 role is TRUE per employee
then exclude all false - that should give you only the employees that are missing that particular role.

MessageBox on Adobe Form in SAP MSS PCR for SAP ECC 5.0

I have a question regarding the behavior of Adobe form messagebox in SAP HR MSS PCR (Personal Change Request)
I tried to test how the messagebox looks like, and so I created a PCR scenario with an Adobe form. This form contains a datetime field. I added the script "xfd.host.messageBox("this is message", "this is title") to the "exit" event of the datetime field. Then I did all the necessary steps so that this PCR is displayed in the Portal.
Now at the runtime, when I select a date value from the datetime field, the messagebox is displayed, BUT within an empty Adobe Reader page. It is not displayed on the top of my adobe form.
But the strange thing is that when I use tab key to navigate through the datetime field, the messagebox is displayed on the top of my adobe form, without the empty Adobe Reader page.
I also tried my script with several different event types, including "Change", and "Validate", it behaves the same way. But when I tried it with the event type "MouseExit", no empty Adobe reader page is shown up at all (of course, this is not the right event type for me)
The environment is SAP ECC 5.0, SAP MSS business package for ECC 5.0, SAP Portal 7.0 (NW 2004s), Adobe LiveCycle 7.1, and Adobe Reader 8.1.1
Has anyone experienced this? I'd really appreciate any comments and suggestions. Thanks in advance.

MSS PCR Notification/Workflow

Hi,
We have been trying to use the MSS PCR for Separation. We are able to successfully submit the PCR however, there are no workflows triggered.
Appreciate if you can advise on how to setup to trigger workflow. Alternatively, appreciate advise on how to know where the notifications are sent.

PCR Workflow can be activated using the Tcode PCRWF. You can know the status of the workflow by checking the workflow overview for the Notification using Tcode IQS22.

Cache issue coming in Start Process for Employee iView under MSS

Hi,
Navigate to MSS -> Team -> HCM Process and Forms -> Start Process for Employee
In Start Process for Employee iView, when I clicks on Refresh link at the bottom right of the table the Direct Reports got removed from the table (which is correct) but when I navigates to some other screen and comes back then again the previous data comes back. It seems to be cache level issue. Even I logs off and login the same data comes back which should not happen.
I have checked the forum [Team=>Personnel Developent=>Employee Search; and found it that Refesh property will work if I set the parameter of iview Cache Lifetime = -1 then it will disable the caching at all.
And I wants the same behaviour for Start Process for Employee iView. But I am not able to find the similar property in Start Process for Employee iView.
Anyone have an idea of What is the resolution for this issue?

now I understand your problem )
To me it sounds like an OADP cache issue rather than one in Portal. The iview uses OADP which again uses the cache which does not reflect on the actual current org-structure.
One possibility would be enhancing the WD4A and call FMs

HRWPC_OADP_DELETE_DATAVWCACHE
dependent on what you want to delete to refresh.
I would probably try to enhance HookMethod WDDOINIT in Component Controller and call them there, but that's just a guess; could be complete nonesense.
Another possibility would be trying to add the application parameter "sap.xss.req.crt.cachelifetime=0" to the iView.

Workflow task TS50000075 for MSS PCR

Hi Workflow/MSS experts,
For example, in PCR worklfows we have the Application - ISRFORMAPPROVE. This is a standard Application from SAP. Task
TS50000075 is configured in SWFVISU for this application which helps in getting the workitem to the UWL for the approval.
Now, my requirement is to create a custon workflow and instead of using the standard task TS50000075, I would like to copy task TS50000075 and use it in my workflow to perform exactly the same job as done by TS50000075. I do not want use TS50000075 here so want to make use of the copy of TS50000075.
I would then replace this custom workflow with the standard one in QISRSCENARIO for "Request for separation". So when the scenario is trigerred system should use my workflow and then the copied task to send the workitem to the UWL for the managers approval.
Analysis/Question:
Will copying TS50000075 and using in my customm wokflow help?
Do I need to make another settings after copying task TS50000075?
I have configured the copied task in SWFVISU.
I get the workitem in the UWL of the approving manager. When I try to approve from the managers inbox system launches the R/3 transction to execute the workitem and nothing happens. It should open up the Webdynpro application with the adobe form to approve it.
I have gonethrough the below thread and understand the scenario i am trying is possible:

Generally the problem in using TS50000075 is the subject line which is easily redefinable. Do u have any other problems in using that?
Anyways even copying the task to a custom one and linking it to ISRFORMAPPROVE shud work provided you have properly created all the relevant container elements in the newly copied task (I guess these values are read by the application using SAP_WAPI_READ_CONTAINER internally)

Can u describe more on this error? Are you getting this error once u click on the workitem in UWL? We had a similar kind of error and that was related to some settings in transaction SICF and our basis administrator resolved it.

Enabling MSS Overview WebDynpro for Employees

Hi,
I was asked to provide the functionality of u2018initiatingu2019 the appraisal process from ESS, by end users. The standard process is only allowing the HR Managers to initiate the process on behalf of employee. I read somewhere the 'Status Overview' of MSS 'Maintain Performance Documents' can be configured for the ESS. Can anyone give me some light on this?

To be honest there is not much to it and the SAP documentation covers it really.
Enable the process to be mass processed.
Make fields visible/invisible/readonly in the columns using the field attributes
A singlle process is triggered for each employee in mass process table etc.

MSS PCR confirmation -- customization

Hi Experts,
I am facing problem in customizing PCR (request for seperation(enhanced)).
Environment:
EP 7.0 SP 12
ECC 6.0 SP 11
MSS 1.0 SP 09
NWDS 7.0.12
Requirement:
Customize three PCRs in the SAP suggested standard way.
first PCR is request for seperation(enhanced).
In this PCR there are 5 steps
Select Employee
Select Form
Edit Form
Review Form
Send(Save)
After which you get a confirmation page saying:
Your request has been sucessfully ....bla ...bla and your notification number is bla...bla
Now the customization required is that there has to be no workflow, so I (as a portal developer) have to add a push button(update database) on the cofirmation page which would call a RFC with the notification number and that RFC will update the database.
I have configured NWDI and imported all the required components on the development track and there are no dirty DCs, I am able to see all the DCs.
When I have a look at the code in the DC ....mss/pcr it shows me only the initial two screens while the rest of the screens seem to be dynamically generated by the FPM(it is entering FPM event loop).[CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG]
I am deploying the Self Service Administrator handy for the future.
I am stuck at this point for a week not able proceed.
Please suggest/correct me as to how to proceed further.
Just a reminder that I only have to worry about putting the push button.

You can set up ISR to make sure there is no workflow. However, the end result will be that it still goes to the proper admin to actually make the change (via Action Box config). I think what you seek is an "auto update" which is NOT supported in PCRs. However, in ECC6, you might want to look at the new Process and Forms which are part of HRAS (HR Admin services) that is replacing PCRs. I think it now supports automatic updates. Hope this helps.

MSS PCR ( Change In position)

Hi all
i am using a one-step approval workflow process in MSS PCR (Request for Position Change).1st time when i am trying to initiate the position change for a particular employee its taking fine.but after the completion of approval process for that employee,whenever i am trying to initiate again the position change process for that employee then its giving me a message as "An organizational reassignment is already planned for this employee" & i am not able to process again for that employee.
but already for the 1st process the approver have run the action through iqs22 tcode.but still its not allowing me to process again for that same employee 2nd time.
kindly give some Clue regarding this.

As per your issue you are not able to overwrite the feature SCHKZ in IT0007. But i think that default feature of SCHKZ allow you to overwrite and change the workschedule in IT0007.
Can you check for the user exit because of which you are not able to change it.

We have configured MSS successfully, Now the reqirement is that we require a report which keeps the track of all requests generated during MSS PCR, like which request, who requested, approver, status of the request....etc.....
Is there any way out where I can track all these things.

Sorry, Rohit...yes, I understood you are on PCRs and not HCM P&F, but I wanted to mention that functionatlity is in fact there for HCM P&F since it was a big missing part for PCRs. And if you are actually on ECC6, you might want to look into it versus PCRs since PCRs are going the way of the dinosaur.

Is their some reporting off of workflow that could be done as well? I would think that could show who processes a request as well as where they are "held up". Reporting is a big missing part of PCRS, agreed.
