HR Agent sync with OID

Has anyone gotten 9iAS r2 OID working with the HR Agent
to sync with HR Applications? Does anyone know where
the technical docs are for setting up the HR Agent?
There seems to be NO documentation on this...

I don't see any problems for the line that starts with "NONLDAP" except that you mention that this
line is in you .cfg file. It should be in you .map file.
I am including in this message a couple of files that I use in my setup for HR sync. Copy these files
to your $OH/ldap/odi/conf directory and run the ldapUploadAgentFile.sh script against these.
If you need any help feel free to call me. I put my number in the email I sent you.
As far as AD support goes you have two options. The first one is to build your own AD connector
using DIP sync. I have not done this myself as yet so I don't have any guidance to give you on this.
The other option is to wait until October when we will be delivering an out of the box AD connector
with release 9.0.4. If you would like to get an advanced copy of this agent you can talk to your sales
consultant about getting into the 9iAS early adopters program.

Files users sync with OID

The Oracle Files is not Synchronizing with the OID, even after setting OID Sync.agent to 3m instead of 24h.
Whenever i logon to files it gives me "You don't have an Oracle files account"
Any idea why this is happening?

You have recently created a user in OID and are immediately trying to login to Oracle Files using that userid. The error message you get is,
"Error. You do not have an account on Oracle Files"
To get the error;
1) http://host.domain:7779/files/app/AdminLogin
2) Click, "Login using Single Sign-on"
3) Enter the new userid & password to get "Error. You do not have an account on Oracle Files."
The FilesOidUserSynchronizationAgentConfiguration agent is set to 24hours by default, so a new user must wait 24 hours before it will import the user into Oracle Files. You need to create a new Synchronization agent
with a shorter time period:
1) Start EMD, also known as Oracle Enterprise Manager, from the command-line using
$ORACLE_HOME/bin/emctl start
2) Connect to EMD at http://hostname:1810 and log in as ias_admin using the same password you entered for the Oracle Collaboration Suite instance when you installed Oracle Collaboration Suite.
3) Click Files. The Files Domain page appears.
4) Click Server Configuration.
5) Click and Edit the FilesOidUserSynchronizationAgentConfiguration,
changing the value of IFS.SERVER.TIMER.ActivationPeriod from 24h to 3m (for a check every 3 minutes).
6) Save FilesOidUserSynchronizationAgentConfiguration.
7) Stop FilesOidUserSynchronizationAgent by clicking on the <server> Node. Now you should now see a list of servers. Click the radio button for
FilesOidUserSynchronizationAgent and click Stop.
8) To load the new Server, then click on the Load Server push button. Enter a new name in the Server Name (ie: OIDSYNC). In Server name field, select IfsDefaultServer from the drop down list. For the Server Configuration Field, select FilesOidUserSynchronizationAgentConfiguration. Then, click OK. You should see a new server named, OIDSYNC.
9) Start the newly loaded FilesOidUserSynchronizationAgent. Do not start
the same agent that you just stopped. Click on the radio button for OIDSYNC, then click on start. Keep the FilesOidSynchronizationAgent stopped.
After a few minutes (when the new FilesOidUserSynchronizationAgent synchronizes
the Oracle Files users with those newly created in OiD) every new user receives an e-mail containing a password.
Once the FilesOidUserSynchronizationAgent has created the users, you can change the ActivationPeriod back to 24h or whatever is your preference.

AD sync with OID

I've set up the sync process from AD to OID and it has been running smoothly for a month but now i'm getting a error the following which i can't resolve using metalink.

I'm running into the same issue. We have found that whenever this happens, the user was either moved to a different office (ie from our northern office to our souther office) or the user changed departments (from Sales to IT). In either case, whenever I go into OID and do a search for the user, I find two entries, one for the original way the user was setup and one entry for the new way the DN should look like. As soon as we delete the original entry, the DIP process continues successfully.
I've had the AD admin create a temp user for me to test this, but whenever we test those scenarios with a temp user, the DIP sync process continues to work just fine. It's hard to replicate the error at will.
If anyone has any more info on this, let me know.

Need help syncing with Agent Office

I am trying to sync a Blackberry Curve 8530 using Blackberry Desktop Manager 5.0.1 with a real estate software program called Agent Office v.10

KB12268 lists the current supported Desktop programs supported by the BlackBerry Desktop Manager for application synchronization.
You can contact the vendor about a possible 3rd party add in application for compatibility with the software.

ITunes 12.0.1 now just "hangs" and does not complete the sync with my iPhone (iOS 6.1.6).

I've seen similar posts earlier in Apple discussions, but I haven't come across a definitive answer yet…So, let me ask again:
Up until 6-7 hours ago, iTunes 12.0.1 was working perfectly well including syncing with my iPhone (I use an oldie but a goodie and it suits my purposes, iOS 6.1.6, 3GS). Specifically iTunes now "hangs" and will not complete the syncing process with my iPhone. It get to "2 of 6" in the backing up process, and then the spinning beach ball appears. I keep my iTunes library on a separate external HD (USB).
Even if I only want to launch iTunes 12 to use it (and NOT sync), the application freezes.
In similar posted questions, "Linc Davis" has asked that the user run a diagnostic using the Terminal utility. I have done this, and I paste the results below.
Any help with this is appreciated!

Thanks, once again, for repeating yourself by sending me the message above (a message you have sent to MANY users with this problem)!
However, you give me this great opportunity to say two things: 1) YAHOO! I fixed the problem, and 2) I want to share how I did so because I hope it helps others.
With the help of reading info at this website http://osxdaily.com/2011/09/22/fix-the-itunes-library-itl-cannot-be-read-version -error-when-downgrading-itunes/, I followed this procedure:
1) I deleted the iTunes 12.0.1 app from my computer
2) In addition, in reading related details at the website above (i.e., by clicking on links on the page AND scrolling to the very bottom to view links to related articles), in my iTunes library folder, I changed MY CURRENT "iTunes Library.itl" to "iTunes Library.old", as the website advises. The current .itl file was the one being used by the iTunes app I had just deleted from my computer.
3) I went to the "Previous iTunes Libraries" folder and dragged a copy of the second-most recent .itl file to my desktop (for me, this file was "iTunes Library 2014-07-23.itl").
4) I re-named it to "iTunes Library.itl"
5) I then dragged a copy of the file in step #4 to my iTunes folder (the folder in which you now also have the "iTunes Library.old" file).
6) I closed all remaining apps on my computer that were opened and I restarted it.
7) Now, you don't have any iTunes app on your computer, so I downloaded a .dmg of iTunes 12.0.1.26 and installed the app (for example, you can download from here: http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/5661/apple-itunes.
8) Once installed, I opened iTunes and immediately I got the dialogue box, "updating iTunes library" -- THIS TOOK FOREVER AS I HAVE CLOSE TO 1,000 SONGS + OTHER ITEMS IN MY LIBRARY!
9) I patiently waited until the library update completed, but it DID COMPLETE.
10) Viola! iTunes 12 is not "hanging" (or freezing) any longer. I can navigate around the application.
CAVEATS:
1) Before I first deleted "the corrupted" iTunes 12, I was able to open the Preferences panel, go to "Devices", and check the box that stops the app from syncing with my iPhone. This setting seemed to carry over; thus, I have not tried to sync yet…WISH ME LUCK!
2) After going through steps 1-10 above, I didn't immediately have Internet Radio available in the application (i.e., I didn't see it), but it is now showing up and it works! I just had to wait for a few minutes...
3) I also use iTunes Match, but I haven't turned it on yet in the newly installed app. On the iTunes Match page, it says, "Add this computer" or "No thanks". So, the app is behaving as if I'm just beginning to use iTunes Match for the first time. Later, I will click on "Add this computer", and I hope it goes smoothly!
4) This isn't a caveat, but I think I should say: my iTunes library is on an external USB HD (I have to say THANK GOD for that). Obviously, this has implications for doing steps 2 to 5 above. The newly installed iTunes 12 app had no trouble in finding where my library is (I had it set up this way back when I was using iTunes 10).
5) One last piece of advice: Make sure that when you plug your iPhone into any other computer only to re-charge but the iTunes app on that computer wants to sync with your phone, you DON'T let it sync. First, you should go to Preferences in the iTunes app and click on "Devices". Then check the box that says, "Prevent iPods, iPhones,…….from syncing automatically." After that, you would be able to plug in your iPhone to another computer to re-charge it.
FINALLY: I THANK EVERYONE WHO WAS WILLING TO SUGGEST SOLUTIONS TO ME REGARDING THIS PROBLEM! I see that MANY users are having this difficulty, so I thought it would be fair for me to share how I resolved the issue -- my iTunes is running fine now...

HT2513 i cal on macbook pro no longer syncs with iphone

i used to be able to sync i-cal on my macbook pro laptop with my iphone without a problem. i changed the setting on my iphone to sync on the cloud. i later reverted to the original settings after i found out that my laptop won't support cloud settings. now the calendars won't sync. i've checked the settings on both. any suggestions?? thanks.

The good news... or rather the peace of mind news... is that Applecare doesn't cover software. So your coverage would have no bearing on the issue at hand. But that's besides the point. Let's try a couple of things:
1.) When you go to Me.com and login, everything works just fine and everything looks ok?
2.) Do you own an iPhone or iPod Touch? If so, can you sync to MobileMe with them? If not, do you own another computer? Even if it's a PC... can you sync with MobileMe?
3.) If you make a new user account on the computer and configure that account to sync with your MobileMe information, does that work?
4.) Have you reset Sync History via iSync? http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1497

5.) You can use MobileMe's chat support, as a member, for some assistance. If they're unable to resolve your issue they'd probably then refer you into an Apple Retail Store or over the phone support with Applecare. As your coverage has recently expired, you might be subject to a $49 support agreement over the phone but you'd get a free Genius Bar appointment for the issue. Perhaps you can convince the Applecare phone agent that you just worked with Mobile Me support and they were unable to resolve your issue (if they can't and refer you to call Applecare). Heck, it's worth a shot.

on Weblogic 10.3.2 configured for Oracle SSO using OID authentication?
We want the OID to store and authenticate Users for username and password logins to the database, then
ultimately by user Certificate authentication in OID. I have OID 11.1.1.2 installed and SSO enabled for Forms
in Enterprise Manager.
Is Access Manager required for Forms SSO with OID authentication to work or just to allow user interaction
for registration and Password reset?
Things mention OAM 10.4.3 and others talk about IAM 11g for Forms 11.1.1.2 SSO to work with OID.
We did this back in Oracle Forms and OID 10g with JSP and LDAP to setup users but I understand 11g is
different and IAM can help or is required for this type of SSO to work.
Any help?

Hi,
According to Oracle's certification matrix found at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/downloads/fmw-11gr1certmatrix.xls, Oracle Forms 11.1.1.2 is not supported to use any Oracle Access Manager (OAM) version. OAM is a component of IAM. It is only supported with Oracle SSO 10.1.4.x. The best solution would be to upgrade the Forms and Reports environment to either 11gR2 (11.1.2.1) or to the latest 11gR1 patchset 11.1.1.7. Both versions are compatible with OAM 11.1.1.7.0 and OID 11.1.1.7.0 where only Forms 11gR2 (11.1.2.1) is compatible with OAM 11.1.2.0 and OID 11.1.1.7.0. That would be the best solution as we have ran into configuration problems in the past with using Oracle SSO 10.1.4.x.
Since OID 11.1.1.2.0 is already installed, you should be able to patch it up to 11.1.1.7.0.
For user authentication in OID, it is required to have OAM or Oracle SSO as both products use WebGate or mod_osso agents for authentication and authorization. For purposes of allowing end users to register accounts and password reset, you will either need to also install another IAM component called Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) or create a customized SSO login page that can be coded to perform these actions. I believe there are some examples available on the Internet.

LDAP SYNC without OID

Has anyone configured OIM 11g LDAP sync feature with directory other than OID ,say AD.
As far as i know Ldap sync is only certified and supported to work with OID as Directory.
Let me know if any one has pointers to wrong me.

Yes, with *11.1.1.5* I reckon you can do it with AD as well but the only pre-requisite is that OVD should be sitting in front of the AD. The configuration steps would automatically create the adapters for OVD-AD integration which was not there in 11.1.1.3. Have a look at the documentation and you will find the links.

SHP2013 UPS Syncing with a Windows 2008 DC

Time for another very specific question : Anyone else having issues syncing Sharepoint 2013 with another domain (with full trusts setup) when connecting to a domain controller running on Windows Server 2008?
Little bit more detail:
We are in AD forest ForestA. We have Sharepoint 2013 that sync perfectly with our AD which is mostly Windows Server 2012/R2's and one or two Windows Server 2008 R2 - but nothing lower that that. Here are the functionality levels:
Domaincontrollerfunctionality = 4
Domainfunctionality = 4
Forestfunctionality = 2
We are trying to sync with a remote ForestB. All of the remote domain controller servers are Windows Server 2008 - except for one Windows Server 2003. Here are the functionality levels when talking to Windows 2008:
Domaincontrollerfunctionality = 3
Domainfunctionality = 2
Forestfunctionality = 2
And with a 2003 server:
Domaincontrollerfunctionality = 2
Domainfunctionality = 2
Forestfunctionality = 2
Full two ways trusts are setup and working between ForestA and ForestB.
When setting up the UPS AD sync with ForestB when connecting to a Windows 2008 it fails with this error in the event log:
"System.InvalidOperationException: Retrieve schema failed.Microsoft.ResourceManagement: System.InvalidOperationException: Retrieve schema
failed."
When setting up the UPS AD sync with ForestB when connecting to a Windows 2003 it works fine.
When trying to do an incremental sync to ForestB when connecting to a Windows 2008 it fails with this error in the event log:
"The management agent "MOSSAD-ADS" failed to run because the credentials were invalid. User Action - Verify the credentials and configuration for the management agent.”.
When trying to do an incremental sync to ForestB when connecting to a Windows 2003 it works fine - even though I am not changing a single thing with the credentials! I use a local host file to force Sharepoint to go to the 2003 server.
So to sum up - why can't out Sharepoint 2013 sync with ForestB when the connection goes to Windows Server 2008 but works fine when connecting to a Windows Server 2003?
EDIT: To add information to this - we do have a user setup in ForestB with proper permissions in their forest!

domaincontrollerfunctionality level is a DC server unique flag which states what domain level that server can handle, and as such is tied to OS. A windows server 2003 (with domaincontrollerfunctionality level of 2) will not be able to handle a domain functionality
level higher than two.

But regardless of that, or if it's even a 2003/2008 issue or policy issue, I can't look at the security logs since I don't have access to the servers. They are completely outsourced and we only have access with LDAP to read information from their AD
but nothing more. This is why Microsoft won't take this case further, they don't even want to test the scenario in a lab Environment until they can look at our Environment, which is impossible. The result is that 90% of my users are now showing up with only
their account names instead of actual names - because our UPS can't read the information :(

Hi All,
I'm trying to configure Hyperion Planning to user an external user repository (OID) but when i try to login with an OID user i get the following error :
"Failed to sync with user provisioning. Check planning log for details"
I'm not hyperion expert so please excuse any school boy mistakes.
Use Case : login to Hyperion Planning using an OID user
Setup:
1)     User created in OID
2)     Use Provisioned in HSS with planning roles
3)     User can login to HSS
4)     Able to login with Native user with the exact same roles
5)     Version 11.1.2
6) Can only see native user in EAS..
I've googled away and tried various things:

OAM with OID Architecture

Can anybody help me with the deployment architecture for OAM along with OID for an SSO solution. I could not find such a asset in any of the datasheets/documentation od Oracle (typical deployments).

I can understand the confusion. It's a complex product with a lot of documentation. And it has undergone several name changes in its history. In reality, it's two products in one:
OAM - Access - This is the security half of the product that performs authentication and authorization, controls access to web applications, and provides web sso. It consists of an Access Server, Policy Manager, and security agents called webgates or access gates. Webgates are pre-built security agents that Oracle ships with the product. They provide webgates for many lead web and application servers. Access gates are basically custom webgates, built and deployed using the Access SDK.

OAM - Identity - Identity system is the user mgmt half of the product, providing features like self-registration, user self-services, delegated administration, and approval workflow. It consists of an Identity server and a webpass, which is the presentation layer to get into the Identity server. You install a webpass on a web server so users and administrators can access the Identity system.

OAM does not require a Java application server to operate because it is not a Java application. What it does require is a web server and an LDAP directory server. The LDAP directory stores all your user data as well all the security policies, configurations, and workflows.

It can help you get started with how to install the products. Note that OVD (Oracle's virtual LDAP directory) is not required for OAM, but is used in this example. You need a physical LDAP repository like OID, Sun, OpenLDAP, Novell eDirectory, or Microsoft AD.

MIB MPLS-FTN-STD-MIB "No such object available on this agent at this OID"

Hi community,
Actually trying to build a network monitoring tool, i noticed that some MIBs are not supported on my platform particularly MPLS-FTN-STD-MIB.
SNMP requets sent replies with " no such object available on this agent at this OID"
I was wondering if is it possible to load MIB on cisco router!!! ?
The IOS image i'm working with is "c7600s72033-adventerprisek9-mz.122-33.SRB5.bin", IOS Version 12.2(33)SRB5.
Does Cisco implemented specific MIB to replace MPLS-FTN-STD-MIB??
Please, will appreciated if someone can guide me through the process or provide me a link where i can find more information. Should I upgrade IOS??
