HR - Dynamic Actions help required
Hi,
We have a requirement like this:
Each Org unit is attached to a Work Address and the same is stored in Infotype 1028.
Whenever hiring action takes place the dynamic action should read the Infotype 1028 for the Org unit to which the employee is assigned and fetch the Work address details.
These details should be stored in Infotype 0006 under Work Address subtype.
Request your help as this is a very urgent requirement for us.

Time constraint for this custom infotype is 2.
It is not allowing to create a new subtype record if 1 exists.
Here scenerio is
Each Subtype ,ie, Subtp 2 ad 3 has got 4 records each with distinct OBJPS field.
when STATS field of subtype 2 is changed for any 1 record in Subtype 2, corresponding record in Subtype 3 should get delimited .
And, rest of the records of Subtype 3 should get created again with new start date.

I am a new user to SAP (roughly 6 weeks), focussing on the HR side. I have been asked to attempt to compile the code for the following requirement:
Capture IT9007 (Service History) for new employees, or those who have a change in Position The fields required are Start Date; To Date; Employee Type; Status; Workplace; Grade; Position.
Please help me understand how to go about gathering the data. Explanation of the syntax too would be appreciated too.

Dynamic actions are actions that is triggered during infotype maintainance.
lets say you enter some details in infotypes and save it (PAI ) ,it has to populate an email or populated another inoftype,its intended for this purpose.
There are standard infotypes and customer infotypes(9000-9999).If you see in your case it IT9007(customer infotype)

tcode pa30 lets say you are opening IT0001 for one employee and when you go to view the infotype details.click system->under SAP data you will find MP000100(MPXXXX) its module pool program .when you double click on that will take you to abap editor.every module pool program of the infotype will have a standard program MPPERS00(standard include) and it wil have the routine that checks if there is a dynamic action maintained for that infotype be refering T588Z.

A dynamic action has the following components.
Infotype Number (INFTY): specifies the infotype for which you want the dynamic action triggered
Subtype (SUBTY): narrows the focus to a specific subtype
Field Name (FIELDN): starts your action when a maintenance function is performed on a particular field
Function (FC): specifies the various maintenance operations to which your dynamic action would respond. They are 02 (change); 04 (create); 06 (create and change); 08 (delete); 10 (change and delete); 12 (create and delete). Dynamic actions are only applicable in maintenance operations, not in display functions.
Sequence Number (NO): refers to a sequential number.
Step (A): specifies a particular type of action. No dynamic action is executed if the function character has a value other than one of the following:
P: Plausibility checks, which allow you to check certain conditions.
I: Calls an infotype for processing
W: Called after the I statement and used to assign values to screen fields while creating or copying another infotype record through the I statement
F: Calls a FORM routine (subroutines in ABAP) during your action. The routine may reside in or out the module pool MPNNNN00.
V: Lets you treat collectively a number of fields for which you want to define a common dynamic action
M: Sends SAP Office mail
Variable function part: The variable function part along with the step indicator forms the core part of your action. It specifies the processing details when the dynamic action is triggered. For example:
The maintenance of dynamic actions is done via the view V_T588Z, as shown in Figure 1 (IMG menu path Personnel Management>Global Settings in Personnel Management>Basic Settings>Infotypes>Create Dynamic Actions).
Requirement: When the postal code or the city of an employeeu2019s permanent residence is changed in infotype 0006, an email should be sent to the administrator.

Apparently above code doenst work . I removed the OR condition and write the code three times for diff personnel area and that works. So i wanted to know what is wrong in above code. Also when records are created they should be defaulted with the amount mentioned in the code i.e. 109 .....but somehow some other value is coming which i havent entered.

your dynamic action shows that you want to default the valued in the Recurring Payment and Deductions but not the Additional Payments. Usually the Indicator /X is used with the condition is endup with Logical OR.

when any new subtype is created in IT0021?

After the Save of subtype XX, we could use table T588Z (Dynamic Action Table) and let the automatic calling of this table drive bringing up the IT0021 subtype 2 (Child) and even put the End date on the IT0021 child. The user would then click the Save button. The advantage here is we donu2019t do any direct update of the Child IT0021.

I have noticed the following:
when I change column C011 (price) the following values are set in the dynamic action:
P110_ID = f11_1
P110_VALUE = whatever I change the price to.
when I change the column C024 (hms_flag), the following values are set:
P110_ID = f03_0001
P110_VALUE = whatever I change hms_flag to.
the region is refreshed in my dynamic action, and the change for hms_flag does not hold. I have tested the SQL query that generates the value for v_SEQ in the dynamic action. In both a change to price and HMS_FLAG it appears valid

the Dynamic ACtion, step 4 calculates v_member by taking a substring of P110_ID...and in all other fields, the column and the field (fxx) are the same value....except for c024.
I am not certain exactly how to resolve, but see the problem. -
Need Help calling Dynamic Action from Link in Interactive Report
Hello I have an Interactive Report. I would like to have a Dynamic Action called when the user selects a row (Clicks a Link).

Sorry for the poorly written original post. I will be much more specific.
I have a Interactive Report on page 40. That report has a column named X_UID that is a link back to page 40 and sets a text item named P40_X_UID in a Region we will call "Form X" with the value of the column. That page refresh also then calls a Automated Row Fetch process to fetch all the values needed for the rest of the page items in the "Form X" region. Also "Form X" region has a conditional display on to only display when P40_X_UID is not null.
What I would like to do:
When the user clicks on link in the IR for X_UID instead of the "Form X" region becoming visible I would like to become modal. I am trying to use a Plug-In named "ClariFit Simple Modal - Show". I have it working with a Dynamic Action when you click a Page Item. But I would like to to work when the link is clicked and the data populated.

During a new hire, standard SAP process is to pop up Benefits Enrollment screen immediately after we maintain IT 171.
In my case, i would like to be taken to IT 378 (Benefits Adjustment reason) immediately after i maintain IT 171 (general benefits info), and then i should be taken to Benefits Enrollment screen (1st IT 171, 2nd IT 378, 3rd Enrollment Screen).
I guess we could do it through Dynamic Actions, but i am not sure how we do it.
Can someone help me step by step.

I am working on SAP 4.6C and have an issue with a dynamic action. I started having this problem since a month. We did not customize this new dynamic action. I dont understand how it entered in my SAP R/3 system.Support packs were added last month can they be responsible.I am entering the discription of the dynamic action.

HELP Filtering and IReport with Dynamic Actions
Hi all,
Now that I've upgraded to 4.0, I'm trying to make more use of Dynamic Actions. I followed the example at: http://anthonyrayner.blogspot.com/2010/07/report-filtering-with-apex-40-dynamic.html and it works fine. The thing is that it is based on a select list which kind of takes away from the effect. What I want is to have an interactive report which is filtered by the value in a text box. I want to use a dynamic action that when a user types a search string, the IR is filtered down based on each character typed. I used the "Change" Event on the text box and the Refresh action on the report region for the IR, but it only refreshes when I "Enter" (submit). Any ideas on how I can get an AJAX-like action using dynamic actions?

Help with Dynamic Action Construction
I want to create a dynamic action that will disable a field called P1_TBRN when any of the following conditions in the form are true:
:P1_TRIAL_STATUS in ('Off-Trial','Unknown') or
:P1_DIAGNOSIS_MAJOR ='UNKNOWN' or
:P1_INSTITUTION ='Unknown' or
:P1_CONSENT_EXISTS <> 'Y';
I assume I use a "Change" event but I can't work out how to enter the 4 condtions so that they are all checked each time. If I create 4 separate dynamic actions, when I change one of the fields, it does not take into consideration the other field values.
An alternative I've tried is to set up a Read Only condition on P1_TRIAL with the above condition. The only problem is that I have to submit the page each time there is a change in one of the 4 fields above. It would be better if I didn't have to submit the page each time so I'd like to use a Dynamic Action.

If you want to evaluate 4 variables in 1 dynamic action you have to post the value of these 4 items on each change of one of these items as far as I know.
I had a form with multiple checks of this kind and ended up having serieus performance issues.
My way around was to evaluate in javascript. You creat a dynamic action on change of any of these 4 fields and set the condition to a javascript expression. The expression looks something like (quick edit so there might be some typos):

Dynamic action on text box change does not working
i have a page with following components.
a report that has and edit link.
a text box to catch the primary key from report link when it is clicked
a number of elements (text boxes, check boxes and LOVs) which are used as data entry form.
Now my design is that user enter values save them and no sooner did they save, the report depicts new
values. if user want to edit any record, they click on edit link and the data entry form elements
should now bring all those values from DB on page. i m successful to pick primary key and bring
it in a hidden text box and wrote a dynamic action on its change event that will bring values from
DB and set all page elements. but but but.........the change event doesnt work. it only work
when focus is lost from the text box...!! offcourse user wont want to click in that "hiddent" text
box and then click some where else to bring values in page data entry form......
help is humbly requested from forum or if any other solution approach is to be used easier than
one i m using, would be appreciated.

well, when i click the link on report it does bring Activity_Id in the hidden box (which is not yet hidden for debugging purpose)
Next i wrote Dynamic action which fires on the change event of P3_EDIT_ACTIVITY_ID and run PL/SQL code with in it which is as follows

:P3_Dept := :Dept; (i did use :P3_Dept := Dept also but this wont work)
insert into testdynamic (stamp) values (Dept); (I did this to check whether correct value is brought from DB, yes it works correctly, correct Dept is being inserted in stamp column)

i have created another true action to check when the dynamic action is fired. its very simple alert. and the problem is, it only fires when focus is lost from the P3_EDIT_ACTIVITY_ID. i mean, when u keep changing value inside the text box, nothing happens, when u go outside, the alert is fired and so the pl/sql procedure. but the line
:P3_Dept := :Dept; OR :P3_Dept := Dept; arent working which is the actual requirement.
I m not using set value here as i have to set a lot of values on page not one. further. plz let me get rid of this lost focus thing as i want the form to be populated with correct values related to P3_EDIT_ACTIVITY_ID as the user click on any edit_link in the report.

IT0071 Dynamic Action does not overwrite Pension Scheme Calculation Rule
I am trying to write a dynamic action to create IT0071 with default values for the Employee contribution (0%) and Employer contribution (4%). However when IT0071 is created the default values from the associated Pension Scheme Calculation Rule (4% and 8%) are not being overwritten by the dynamic action. Is there a way to get the dynamic action to override the Pension Scheme Calculation Rule values?

In standard SAP physical sample planning requires sample drawing procedure.

Generally when we use partial sample numbers, we also use a drawing procedure. And in that scenario SAP describes the calculation as shown in

What you have done (partial samples for MICs and not having for others, all without drawing procedure) is not generally done. I think our observations in this context should be confirmed only if we try more of such examples.

Dynamic Action not triggering on Radio Group change
I have a form that contains a text item, a radio group item and a display-only item. I have created a single dynamic action "CHANGE SUBJECT" associated with both the text and radio group items that updates the display-only item's value whenever either is changed. The action fires properly when the text item is changed, but not when the radio group is changed. If I set the radio group item's "Page Action when Value Changed" property to "Redirect and Set Value", than everything works, but that is not the desired behavior as that requires a refresh of the entire page. Any suggestions on how to make this action work? Is there a different action for the radio-group that I should be using instead of CHANGE? Thanks for your help.

"Radio Group Value= "+ $v('P65_RADIO_GROUP')+" - Text Box Value= "+ $x('P65_TEXT').value I tried it and it work!

Update:
I tried the same code you had before (plsql Expression) but there is something that you need to do to make it work, in the TRUE action setting , there is a "Page Items to Submit" field, you need to put your text item and radio in it as follows:
Page Items to Submit : P65_RADIO_GROUP,P65_TEXTThis should make your code work in addition to the other way I provided.
