HR Interfaces - Real World Scenarios - Please help !

Hello Folks,
I would appreciate it if someone could give examples of real world scenarios in which XI has been used for HCM (HR) Interfaces. Both from SAP to External as well as Legacy systems. I am not looking so much for technical explanation but more of a high level description of systems involved, the types of data sent/received (payroll master etc). Really looking for real world examples.
For example: Payroll master from SAP HCM to Legacy (?) using so and so idoc etc.
If you all gurus can help, I would really appreciate it.

Unable to do IDoc to File Scenario ; Please help me....

Hi Experts!!!,
I am trying to convert an IDoc to an .Txt or .Xml file, But I am un able to do it. Whenever I m trying to configure the Idoc adapter , it's not allowing me to select as "sender" (default it will be on the recvr side). Please help me in this regard.
Do I need to use RFC adapet, or BAPI instead of IDoc or any other way..to complete IDoc to File scenario...

No need to use Sender Idoc adapter , default , IDoc adapter resides on Integration Engine. No sender communication channel and sender agreement also

Excise (sales return) scenario PLEASE HELP

Hi All
We have a scenario, form our factory (exciseable) plant we have transfered the goods to our shop ( non Excise). And sold the material at VAT.
Under sales replacement Policy we have taken the sales return at shop.
Now we have to transfer the material to factory and take the CENVAT credit.
How can we do the excise entry at the time of goods recipt the factory

Use J1IEX transaction and use the EWPO transaction type to capture the transaction. Also please remember that EWPO accepts only Goods receipt via MM process and not SD process in the Standard scenario so please ensure that it is allowed for other types as well. Any ABApper should be able to help you on this. There is a SAP note on this so please check it out as well.

Strange Urgent scenario please help!

I am having one strange problem in InfoCube loading.
I am loading from 0FI_GL_4 extractor to BW InfoCube with full load.
I have start routine logic in my update rules.I debugged routine several times simulated update from PSA plenty of times.
In debugging and simulation it gives expected results, but when I actually load data to InfoCube it misses some data.
Some data are not showing up in InfoCube.
Please help with your suggestions.

The records are cuting down in the start routine, I can see it clearly into the monitor.
But the strange thing to notice is when I debugg code for error records it gives right result and when I load actually it cuts some records.

Hi, I'm trying to exported edited photos to an external hard drive... when i try to add the hard drive through lightroom it says selected device is not writable.... well i manage to write on it with everything else in the world! please help.

I can export the photos to the desk top but when i then select the folder and drag to drop on the hard drive it does not give me the option. If i go to copy folders out of the hard drive to the desktop i can do so no problem (its not a problem with the hard drive to my knowledge).
Please help its driving me away from both lightroom which i really like and from Macs in general!!!!

I found that it was due to the format of the drive, NTFS not being compatible with Mac. I am not converting the drive to a FAT format.

Unable to get in to blackberry app world! Please help?

I have a blackberry curve 8520, and every time I go into app world it asks me to log in, I cannot remember my username, and im unable to get into my email account as it was hacked. As a result I was going to delete my app world I have at the moment, re-download it and make a new id, but it will not let me? what can I do in order to download apps?

Have you deleted AppWorld at this point, and what is it exactly that you cannot do at this point?

CAC complex scenarios - please help!!!

I have read the CAC section of the SRND and I think I'm still confused on certain sections of the document. Would greatly appreciated anyone help on this :-)
Just assume RSVP is not a feasible option for now...

i) In this scenario, how many CCM clusters would you have & why? Would you put a cluster to each hub and remote site (i.e. to all sites)?
Ii) If each site has it's own cluster, how many GK would you use and why?

Iii) Assume it is a "Centralized model" where the HO hosts the only CCM cluster, do you see any problems in terms of CAC?
Iv) What would you configure for the location for the Non-GK controlled trunk between hub office (site D) & HO (site G)?
V) Do you ever configure any locations for the HO site? Or just leave the HO phones and HO Intercluster trunk as "none"?
Vi) Say if site A makes 7 calls to site B, and if site C also makes 8 calls to site B simultenously, can site B still call HO? I think the answer is no. Location CAC is not really designed to support multi-tier environment? anything we can do to fix this problem if the scenario has to be in Centralized model?
(N.B:- I have changed the location to be 'number of calls' rather than 'bandwidth' for simplicity)

Vi) In the centralized model,.If we have to reserve a certain bandwidth along all links end-to-end by RSVP, how is that differenet from using CAC? Don't we still need to over-pump the links? Say if a certain path along the RSVP path reserves 60 calls, wouldn't we need to RSVP for 60 calls through the whole path just like CAC?

Vii) For Tail End Hop off, assume all the voip dial peer has been setup on all the VGs, and the Route Pattern at Centralized CCM has been setup to point to the local VG (at site G) as Route List. But If the bandwidth between the hub (site D) & HO (site G) are all used up, but I want the user at site H to still be able to call the PSTN, can I use AAR in this scenario?

iii) If Hub (site D) wants to make 30 calls to site E, F, G & H at any time, would the total interzone bandwidth for ZoneA be 70 calls?
iv) Now, assume Zone B (site E, F, G & H) only needs to make 20 calls in total back to Zone A at any time, but since Zone A needs to make 70 calls as per iii, what should we do at GK?

I'm a bit confused between the difference between the following 3 ways of setting up PSTN fallback if WAN bandwidth is insufficient in GK scenario
Say I want to call extn 3xxx on the remote office. The intercluster prefixs are *801, and the PSTN digits for the site is 9231-3xxx.
Method 1:
Configure a route list that contains two route groups. The first route group contains the intercluster trunk that routes outgoing calls over the IP WAN. Second route group contains the Voice Gateway.
Method 2:
Just on the Voice Gateway:
dial-peer voice 1 voip
destination-pattern 8013xxx
session target ras
preference 0
dial-peer voice 2 pots

Another extra Q regarding bandwidth for GK.
According to Cisco SRND, GK uses double the bandwidth as the codec call rate, so...
G.711 - GK uses 128kbps
G.729 - GK uses 16kbps
However, this is excluding all Layer 2, IP & RTP overhead... so when i am planning for number of calls, what values should i use as 'bandwidth per call'?

Real world scenario JDBC-PROXY

Hi All,
I have created a interface between JDBC-PROXY. Select some rows from the table and do some proceessing in proxy (say create material). The scenario looks good. But while selecting from the table JDBC adapter updates the status field to prevent processing the same row again and again.
Now if suppose my R/3 server is down, the data from the table is lost. How can I track these data?

Hi Jai,
A JDBC sender adapter cannot be configured Synchronously, yes u r correct .
If you want an update back to the database after execution , BPM is the only one way .
create the RECEIVER JDBC adapter fromat as suggested in this link,

one thing dont use update in Sender Jdbc Adapter use it in Receiver Jdbc adapter
the steps in BPM wil be ,
1. Receive -- for Sender JDBC adapter
2- Send Synchronous -- RFC call synchrnous
3 - Send -- using Receievr JDBC adapter to Insert / Update the DB.

Locked ipod, but unable to connect to my own computer as on a round the world trip - please help !

i'm hoping to get some help. I'm currently traveling around the world - without a computer (I'm only using internet coffee machines and tonight only the computer of a friend where I have been able to download Itune).
Here is the story : I forgot my Ipod in some place in Peru. With a lot of luck I managed to get it back today. I charged the device, but when I want to start it up, it says Ipod désactivé (ie unactivated Ipod) - please connect to Itunes. I connected to itune, but the computer I'm using tonight of course does not recognise the device. I'm stuck and would really appreciate some help !

Bad news. In order to sync you ipod, you have to sync it to your computer. After you connect the ipod to your computer, click on your ipod,in the left column under devices in itunes. What you need to have checked is the manually manage music and videos check box to be able to control the content on your device.
However, when you do that, you then have to click apply on the bottom right. Then you will get this dialog box.
which tells you that in order to sync, you need to erase the device to sync to your computer at home. Which is what you want since it is your device you need to sync to your computer.
GOOD NEWS: The best way to get your music from your friend is for them to give it to you as a gift on a CD or put on a thumb drive so that you have a copy of the files to bring into your computer at home. Once they are on your computer, you will be able to import them into your device. If you live together, you can also set up home share which will allow you to transfer mdeia (like music) from one computer to another while at the same time allowing you to sync on your own computer.

How to add iPhone USB to Network Interface on iMac? Please help.

I've been trying to find a solution of the past few days to no avail. I've accidentaly deleted iPhone USB from network interface (by pressing minus sign) and now my iMac won't see it. I wanted to tether via USB, but it was red before, and then I deleted it at all iTunes sees it and syncing is working, but I can't tether now. I've got iTunes 11.1.2 and newest iOS for iPhone 5S.

Possible Memory Leak... Real problem. Please Help

About a couple of months ago I started getting a little concerned with my MacBook Pro's Hard Drive space, I deleted a bunch of stuff, after noticing I only had less than 1 Gb left, then I purchased an external HD and have used it to back up, and also to remove stuff from my hard drive in the computer. But now, I have noticed a problem that rather concerns me, If I put my computer to sleep after a normal day of work, and usage, when I wake it up it seems fine, and it runs about the same (a little less efficient, but not too much) then I realize that I am missing about 1-2 Gbs in Hard Drive Space. If I restart the computer, That memory comes back... and then If I keep using the computer, it leaks memory little by little.
I have tried running anti-viruses and spyware software but that does not seem to work against this issue, unless I am doing something wrong. I have also tried to update all my software and keep my processes and running applications to a minimum. Finally, I tried leaving the computer on... without doing anything, connected to the internet... It leaked some more memory. I did the same, but without the internet... and then it did not leak anymore. I have no clue how this happen or how to fix it. I have tried most of the things I know could have possibly helped, but seems like isolating the problem to the internet does not really help me, since I need it for work.

You are describing the natural process of virtual memory and Apple's use of a sleep image. Look in /var/vm for these files. It is not uncommon to have a sleep image of a couple of GB. Think about it. You have a computer that has data on a hard drive. When you start up the machine, that data needs to move from the hard drive to RAM and then, in some cases, back to the hard drive as virtual memory. This is when you do not have enough physical RAM to hold everything you are doing. Now, what happens when the machine goes to sleep? Well, you have data in RAM that in most cases will remain there as long as there is power. On a laptop, it is possible for the contents of RAM to be written to a file in the event of a battery depletion. THis is the suspended hibernation feature that Apple has. Commonly, there is one swapfile and one sleepimage file located in /var/vm.
If you are missing a lot of space, you might instead want to check out your log files. It is possible that something caused a high number of log entries to be recorded and you have an incredibly large log file. Also, if your machine is not running between 3 and 4 a.m., you are missing the default maintenance scripts that run and rotate log files. Look in /var/log for unusually large logs.
