HR Master Data : Track Changes

Hi experts,
I am in a Global HR Implementation & Rollout Project. We are creating Outbound Interfaces for 3 countries to export pay, time and general data to the 3rd party systems in those local countries. (Payroll is outsourced there).
As well as sending New Joiners data every month, we need to send Changers data also to all those 3rd partys every month before the Payroll runs.
I know 2 solution for this :
a).  Using Change Documents - Tcode : SCDO ..etc
b).  Using the report RPUAUD00.
Query :
1). Are these the only solutions ?
2). Whats the best solution for doing this for a Global Rollout project ? I need to track master data change for different countries for different set of Infotypes and fields. I need to send those Changers data as well as the New Joiners data through the Outbound Interface to all the local countries.
This year we are doing for 3 countires, next year for 9 more countries, etc. Whats the best solution keeping this in mind ?
Restrictions :
1).  Our Client HRs dont want us to disturb the report RPUAUD00 as they use that regularlly and want the flexibility to configure the configs themselves.
2). If I must need to create and activate Change Documents for ALL individual fields, is there an easy way of doing this ?
Just want the best possible and feasible solution for this issue.

Here is my 2 cents Advice
Iu2019d recommend you to write your own report . We are also running ITs changes report for two countries at the moment. From an audit and HR stands point, they donu2019t want us to play with "RPUAUD00" .
   How I wrote report that it looks at last rec and latest rec and compares the changes dynamically and build up report. Change can be typo or any thing. You know what Iu2019m getting at  right ? If for example I put '.' , it also takes as change . These are certain things/define lines  you have  to discuss before developing a report .
    As far as development is concern ,Iu2019d recommend you to develop report which create internal tables dynamically based on your IT number . You can look at the following FMs as a starting point
RFC_read_table  ( dynamically build IT structure )
*Fm to compare record and give subrc = 1 and 2
  CALL FUNCTION 'ISB_RM_COMPARE_2_ITABS'
    TABLES
      DATA_ITAB  = REC
      CHECK_ITAB = REC1
    EXCEPTIONS
      NOT_EQUAL  = 1
      OTHERS     = 2.

  • Error while realigning aggregates through master data attr. change run

    Hi all,
    We are using Sales Overview cube (SD_C03) on which we have built aggregates. now during the master data attribute change run it tries to realign the aggregate once the master data is loaded via Process chain. In this step we are facing an error:
    "Error while procesing aggregate <aggregate technical name>"
    From ST22 we can find
    Database error text........: "ORA-14400: inserted partition key does not map to any partition"
    Internal call code.........: "[RSQL/INSR//BIC/F200009 ]".
    Whereas from SM21 we can find out:
    Database error 14400 at INS access to table /BIC/F200009.
    /BIC/F200009 is the fact table of one of the aggreates we have. really looking forward to your valuable suggestion.

    how can I resume this process, even it was not going to back screen also and only one option is available for exit from this is by going into MENU-SYSTEM-SERVICES-BATCH INPUT-CANCEL.

  • Advice on Promoting Master Data Services Changes from one environment to another, e.g. DEV to UAT

    Hi,
    Has anyone got experience of creating a script to promote Master Data Services changes from one environment to another, e.g. Development to Production please?
    The changes basically consist of adding several new MDS members which can be accessed via Excel.

    In MDS terminology an Entity is metadata, and Entity Members are the data. 
    Typically changes to an Entity (ie model design changes) are promoted to different environments.  Model design changes can be replicated manually in each environment or you can Export the model and Import it into the target environment.
    Adding, editing and deleting entity members is performed directly in each environment.
    If you want to selectively import data from a Dev environment, you can use staging.

    Hi,
    I faced a similar situation,
    I tried all the possible ways like activating InfoObject manually, Through an activation program of aggregates,
    Also ran RSRV check which was showing no negative results.
    I raised an OSS note for the same but after that when SAP returned back the process chian ran again as it is a daily load which activated the record in 'M'.
    I ask you to wait till the next process chian run, and try all possible ways to activate.
    If it is not corrected then raise an oss to SAP.

  • Part timer accrual formula - consider date track change

    Needed some help with part timers accrual formula.
    The accrual formula need to prorate the entitlement based on the work hours and accrual bands(years of service).
    The accrual formula should account for date track changes to both the years of service and work hours.
    How can this be achieved?

    This is a common but difficult problem to implement. When I've done this before I've:
    1) Used a looping Accrual Fast Formula inside the main Accrual Fast Formula (like the seeded ones), but
    2) Built a custom User Defined Fast Formula Function to retrieve the next date of change of hours/years service
    3) Called this UDT inside the looping Fast Formula to determine the next change
    4) Prorate accruals from the beginning of the year up until the next date of change
    5) Loop from the date of change going forward
    6) In the next looping iteration call the UDT again to find the next change from now
    7) Prorate accruals from now until the next date of change
    8) Continue 6-7 until there are no more changes this year.
    So in a simple year the looping formula just runs twice: once from the beginning of the year up until the service anniversary and again from the service anniversary to the end of the year. In an example where an employee changes hours it loops three times: once from the beginning of the year up until the hours change (assuming in this case the hours change comes before the service anniversary), then again from the hours change to the service anniversary, and then again from the service anniversary to the end of the year.
    In a complex example with multiple hours changes it can loop as many times as needed.

  • Withholding tax master data report changes in SAP FI

    Hi All,
    In our client according to new audit requirements improvements have to be done for the withholding tax report. According to the the requirements changes only functionality has to be added to the main selection screen of the withholding tax master data report.
    Changes only functionality has to be added to the selection screen of the report, the report has to display changes made to the tax master data with in a range of period, this was achieved easily by making program changes. Only issue now is when we do it in development client its showing us properly but when we do it in production it is not working because when ever we do any configuration changes we do it in the development client and transport it to production client so the changes done to any configuration with respect to WHT are not recorded in the production environment as they are transported from development client.
    So, we are unable to achieve this in production client, please help me out with this issue.

  • Report on all CO Master Data Record changes

    Hi everyone,
    I am looking to have a report to display all CO master data (cost elements, profit center, costs centers changes (what, when, by).
    Does it exist a standard report for this? Or do I have to user a query to do so?
    There is the T-Code KS13 for the costs centers and KS13 for cost elements but I did not see anything about profit center master data reports.. and anyway they are on different report. I would like everything on the same report.

    Which will provide profit center wise report.

  • Master data without change run

    Hello Gurus,
           our data flow for sap bw is " sap datasource>PSA>infoprovider for some infoobject-->OHS ",  our purpose is to extract data from sap datasource and send it to external data warehouse through OHS. but I found for some infoobject, after loaded with data, without change run, then directly transfer to external data warehouse through OHS.  I know master data is not activated without change run. but does it make sense for my scenario without change run before sending data out?

    Hi,
    You don't have to include attribute change run after every master Data load. This has to done only when ever you do some changes to master Data viz. adding attributes or deleting attributes and so on.
    Check with the business if the master dta is changing on frequent basis.

    Hi Jack,
    The process of Attribute change run is just the activation of the Master data same as DSO's.
    In RSA1>tools>Apply Hierarchy/Attribute change run(CRTL+F9). You can check your object for which the attribute change run has to be applied through the infoobject list.
    Then execute. now the attribute change run is completed.
    Please ensure the infoobject is activated.
    Provide us the error message to give you more details.

  • Business content master data DataSources & change pointers

    Why general business content master data DataSources donu2019t have the behavior of the ones created for classification data with transaction CTBW. For the 1CL_* DataSources the corresponding message type RS* is created only when you run a delta initialization, and when you delete that initialization the change pointers for that message type become inactive. With general business content master data DataSources the change pointers are active all the time (even if you want to use those DataSources only for full updates). How can I, in BW, deactivate the change pointers for the DataSources Iu2019m not using?

    I always assumed it was because BW hijacked the standard change pointers but in hindsight the change pointers are given a RS prefix so that must be wrong as the entries in BDPCV and BDCPS contain that prefix
    But I assume you can run BD22 for the RS change pointers for non processed ones
    Interesting question - I await other responses (my hunch is that they hijacked the BADI to write to the BD* tables and left the code in for RS* messages)

  • MASTER DATA MASS CHANGE- ASSET

    I have a problem with substitution....
    I need to do the following :
    In asset master record, tab allocation I want to make a substitution in  the field " group evaluation 1" e.g. from 2 to 7;
    With GGB1 I create a substitution in AM -Asset Accounting mass change, callup point 4.
    With OA02 I link my substitution to the company code.
    With AR01 I create a worklist and I choose the workflow task:"Change asset w/o dialog (bulk change), I select my substitution.
    Then AR31 for releasing  my worklist.
    I get an error message : " Work item 000000386089: Data for type A cannot be written (table SWWWIHEAD) ".
    I did a bit of debugging and it seems that the error is triggered because there are no records for the current version plan (PLVAR = 01) in the table HRP1217. I must say that we did not implement HR at all here. We are using version 4.6C.
    Please help me to solve this problem !

    For this little change it better to create a simple LSMW. This is going faster then with Mass change. (no transports,...).
    With SE16 you get the asset numbers and evaluation groeps in EXCEL, there you change the values and import this with LSMW

  • How to upload Master data in Change mode

         I have inserted 3 vendors 1/2/3 in normal mode with BDC first. In these 3 vendors the Payment Terms code was not there initially. Then i created a flat file with the Ptems code for 3 vendors. But when i call MK02 to update, the fields do not get updated and i have to manually change them. Can anybody help me with the problem.

  • Open Transactions in ECC for Master Data changes in MDM

    Hi All,
    I have a basic Design question on how to handle the impact of Data changes in MDM for any open transactions with that Master object. For eg if we have a Material set up in MDM and in ECC and there are open Purchase Orders for that Material, now if the Base Unit of Measure is changed in MDM and gets harmonized to ECC(After Workflow approval of the Change) how will it impact the PO attached to the material . Can we do any configuration in ECC that will restrict any Open PO s not to take the new changed value and any new POs taking up the new Base Unit of Measure , or can we set up an alert/notification that will trigger for a PO whenever any Master Data is changed and the PO takes the new changed value on the fly . What will be the best approach from a solution point of view .

    Hi Prabuddha,
    In ECC if a change happens to a master data not all the changes are reflected automatically in the open documents like open PO or open Sales order. Some fields values have to be redetermined for eg: "pricing procedure", some of them needs to be changed manually for eg: "Description". Moreover specific to your eg of Base unit of measure, this is a sensitive field and has lot of impact on the process so there for changing such fields it is necessary to close all the open documents against the Master data record in consideration. This fact is regardless whether the change happens through an IDoc or directly by MM02/XK02/XD02

    we have changed a plant (#1234) master data it was under comapany code(12) now it is under comapny code(59) on the r3 side, now there is data in the cubes already which was loaded before the change, and we still want to use it, but since master data has changed and reloded, what will happen when i run reports on the old data,
    secondly i know i can use time dependant objects but my question is what will happen if i dont use it. will the old data run fine under the new comapny code?  and what other things will this change effect.

    ok whats confusing me is that suppose we have this record in the cube

    comp code & region is an attr of plant and this is the new master data
