HR Mini Master

Hello Experts,
We are in an implementation project, and the scope was changed adding the HR Mini Master in order to work with some workflows. My question is how does change the user and roles administration with this new feature? Thanks in advance

I'm using HR for the first time (well - watching another user until I get an SAP account created) and I'm a little disappointed in that I thought a position was vaguely similar to a user group and would keep access across a group of users assigned to the position.
Totally misunderstood the concept

  • Uploading HR mini master

    Hello,
    I would like to know what the best way is to upload HR mini master records. We are doing a CATS project and I need employee numbers with infotypes: 0000, 0001, 0007, 0105, 0315. Can anyone provide me information on what BAPI's or other to use.
    Preferably using it in LSMW.
    Do I for instance need to split the upload in PA40 upload and then an update upload with PA30?

    Thanks for the SPRO link. However, from that documentation it seems that you need to code your own program to do the uploading based on a report as model.
    I came across Business Object HRMASTER with method SAVEREPLICAMULTIPLE. Do you have any idea if that would work better, in the sence that own creation of reports is reduced? In the mapping I see a lot of infotypes (not infotype 007, ok batch input). But looks further ok? What do you think? In the SPRO link no mention of this HRMASTER business object is done.

    How can we configure to change the personnel area in HR mini master record if an employee changes site?
    I tried in PA30 and PA40 but not able to change the same.

    The organizational reassignment is not possible because
    The previous and new personnel areas are assigned to different country
    groupings (MOLGA)
    or
    The organizational assignment (feature IVWID) and the employee have
    different infotype view indicators.
    System response
    The organizational reassignment is rejected.
    Procedure
    Check the attributes of the personnel areas, the settings in feature
    IVWID, and the employee's infotype view indicator in the Payroll Status
    infotype (transaction SE16, table PA0003, field VIEKN).

  • PA & OM mini master 1st phase & Full blown 2nd phase?

    hi gurus!
                      We have another problem. The thing is we already have mini master in the system before full implementation. The client is already using the production server. The new Ent & Personnel Structure has changed. So the second phase implementation when it goest live. Since we already have some infotypes holding data and also since there is Structure changes, How do i manage the uploads?
    1) Should i delimit the old infotypes with an action and Create a new action saying 2nd phase upload? using 2 actions
    2) Should i copy the infotype in 2nd phase action type upload and give the new data through BDC? using one action?
    OM:
    We already have the structure in place. with only one job for all the positions. Now they want to have individual job for each position. How do i manage this scenario in production at the time of GO-LIVE?

    If there is no change in the existing data and if u want to add new data.... its advisable to upload the new data directly without modifying the existing ones.... and u have lot of tools to do that.... pls check the TOOLS part of Org Mgmt in Easy access screen......

    The basic Requirments of the Mini Masters in SAP HCM Requires the following Information of the PERNR
    Infotypes to be maintained - 0000 , 0001 , 0002 ,0007 , 0105 , 0315 (you can also include IT related to TM but i havent used them in my project)
    As per the above Infotypes Configuration of Holiday Calendar , DWSR is necessary
    and comeing to the integration with other modules
    The mini masters is required by the following Modules as per my experience
    1. Project Systems - Integration will be Cross Appplication Time Sheet CATS
    2. Materials Managment (MM) - In this module the PERNRs in the HCM will be treated as Buyers from MM side and along with their PERNRs they require the Positions for that PERNR and Telephone no from IT 0105 Communication for Print Out form in MM
    3. EHS - Employee Health Safety : This module requires the Hirerachy of the Organisational Structure in order to issue Notification Type to concern Department Department means Organisation Unit have a look at Tcode IW22 for this we need to Map the Relationships Reports to ......... and Manged by ............. the both relationships are must and in future in case of any work flows this configuration helps us a lot

    My client is implementing CATS using HR mini master. What is the best approach to upload Mini master data.
    Did SAP provided any standard program to upload the data into HR module or should I use BDC to upload the data in infotypes 0000, 0001, 0002, 0007, 0315.

    One way of doing this is
    1.Create a Dynamic action specifically for Migration to include
    these Infotypes -0000, 0001, 0002, 0007, 0315.
    2. Record these Infotype sequence by using LSMW/BDC/eCATT.
    If the number of record is high, use LSMW/BDC.If it is less you may use LSMW/BDC/eCATT.
    I am not sure if any BAPI is available explicitly to upload Mini Master

    I realize there are many variables, but typically how long does it take to configure HR Mini master (3 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, etc...)? We would like to upload from Peoplesoft and continually have it updated.

    If you have all information/data available from client, then configuring Enterprise structure, Personnel Structure, Actions, Infotypes, time related setting and integration of other modules will take atleast two weeks, but after that testing along with other modules takes time to test complete cycle.  So there is no fix time we can give to client but minimum three weeks.

  • HR Mini Master - HR-PDC

    Hi,
    I've set up the standard HR-PDC with the subsystem and send down the HR Mini Master. I've set the background job and all ran successfully until we engage a new person or create an IT0050 record for an existing person.
    For some reason the new persons aren't included in the mini master when the file is created in the background. And here is the funny thing, they're included on the mini master as soon as I run it manually via PT80.
    I went through my config and searched for a note, but I can't find anything relating to my problem. The only thing that I can think of is that I missed something and I have no idea what that could be.
    I would really appreciate it if you can assist me with this.

    Did you mention Activity type information in HR Master-315 InfoType (TimeSheet Default value).

  • Download the MINI-Master from HR with a BAPI

    I want to retrieve data from Info Types 001, 002 and 0050 from the <b>HR MINI-Master</b>. I also found a BAPI which could do this: <b>BAPI_CC1_DNLOAD_MINIMASTER</b>. When I looked at this BAPI I realised that this BAPI had only Import and Export Parameters defined and no implentation coding. Is it correct that this BAPI is empty? If so, is it a BADI which requires a user implementation. How do I have to make this user extension?

    What is your actual requirement? Do you want to transfer the data to an external system or another SAP system.. the reason there is no code in this BAPI is because of its functionality. All it does is transfer the MINIMATSER Table contents. It is purely for ALE purpose.. and I do not think you can use this as a standalone function module.. again if you look inside the code of RPPTCC101, the routine that gets the infotype data just dumps from the database tables with the SELECT statements.. I do not think there are any BAPIs available for infotype downloads.. I do not see any harm in downloading directly from the database tables PA0001,PA0002 & PA0050 using the SELECT statements.
    Pl take a look at RCVPTEMPMINIMASTERD to see how this BAPI is being invoked.
