HR OOPS BDC

Hello Gurus,
I have a requirement, to update HR OM IT 1222-Gen Attributes. The requirement is to update IT 1222 - Gen Att, through PP01 Tcode for both Position and Org Unit, at any point of time either position or Org unit should be upldated through Flat file (.txt or .csv). Now here we have records for creation, change and delete records.
Can any one suggest how can we achive the requirement.

If you want it to be done using BDC then i would suggest you to use Transaction Code PP02 instead of PP01.

    this can be helpful.
    OOPs ABAP uses Classes and Interfaces which uses Methods and events.
    If you have Java skills it is advantage for you.
    There are Local classes as well as Global Classes.
    Local classes we can work in SE38 straight away.
    But mostly it is better to use the Global classes.
    Global Classes or Interfaces are to be created in SE24.
    SAP already given some predefined classes and Interfaces.
    This OOPS concepts very useful for writing BADI's also.
    So first create a class in SE 24.
    Define attributes, Methods for that class.
    Define parameters for that Method.
    You can define event handlers also to handle the messages.
    After creation in each method write the code.
    Methods are similar to ABAP PERFORM -FORM statements.
    After the creation of CLass and methods come to SE38 and create the program.
    In the program create a object type ref to that class and with the help of that Object call the methods of that Class and display the data.

    Use BAPI BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA to create a material, it will tackle OOPS scenario also.

    Create a method of class or object. Inside that method, do 'Call Transaction'. For example see business object BUS2038 (maintenance notification) using transtion SWO1 ( it is O for orange not 0(zero)). Select method 'MaintenanceNotific.Display' and press 'Program button' on application Bar. You will see the following code.

    it looks like it's not possible to call this BAPI wihtout material number. Here is a quote from BAPI documentation.
    When creating material master data, you must transfer the material
    number, the material type, and the industry sector to the method. You
    must also enter a material description and its language.

    in simple,
    Synchronous:
    - COMMIT WORK AND WAIT:
    -System waits until the database updation is completed.....then, system continues to execute after the piece.....if some thing wrong in updation, then, the rest piece do not executes!!
    -here, we get sy-subrc return value, so, some times, we can write rest prog. based on this retun value, either sucess or failure, like in some scenarios, we write CALL TRANSACTION with 'S', other wise its normally, Asynchronous!!
    - takes more time
    -mostly, batch input
    -example, say, there is Materail doc posting and associated accouting doc posting.....so, if material doc is successful, then only acc. doc will be get posted
    Asynchronous:
    -COMMIT WORK
    -does not depend on the updation
    -quick relatively
    -mostly CALL TRANSACTION
    - no return code

  • Submission of BDC Program in Module Pool fails

    HI,
    I have written the BDC Program to change the position text using 'PP01' .  When it is executed, its changing the value correctly.
    In my module Pool Program, i am calling the BDC Program using SUBMIT as background job . But it throws an RUN TIME ERROR.
    Could you please let me know, whether is this possible or not?

    Please check whether u has been used OOPS  ALV (using Costom container)in module pool programming. If that was the case, system throws an rum time error.

           I'm getting an error <b><i>"Parking not possible during Batch Input"</i></b> while running a BDC for the transaction F-02.
           When i click on the error message it displays the message [b<i>]"In Customizing, you can control whether an error message is issued."</b></i>
            How to solve this issue?.

    Hi,
    When you are doing the recording in SHDB, and in the same screen where the TCODE to be recorded is given, there are options that you can choose called "Recording Parameters"...Select the checkbox which says "Not a Batch Input Session", this will set the sy-binpt variable to " "(in a recording by default it is "X")...and you will not get this error...
    Also make sure while writing the BDC program to make use of the "bdc options" parameter which has this property to switch of sy-binpt...

  • Unable to update the serial number through bdc in Sales Order

    Hi experts,
    I written the inboud FM for to update the 3rd party items serial number to the sales orders through BDC Call transaction Method.
    Here i am facing a problem when i have the 19 item Quan ,it is updating correct through idoc , when ever there is moe than 19 and at that if any serial number repeated for that if i am changing at that time it is loosing the control of the BDC and giving the control to the salesorder screen.
    how can i handle that control again has to come to BDC prgrm......

  • Creation of PGI using BDC for tc VL02N is not happening..

    Hi All,
    i need to do Post Goods Issue (PGI) thro' BDC and after that i need to update the flag in Ztable.
    its giving Success message and updating the database also.
    but its not issuing the PGI.and further i want to create billing doc.So its compulsory to me to post PGI.
    if i look into the BDCMSGCOLL structure its giving "NO BATCH INPUT DATA FOR SCREEN"? why this is happening?
