HR paysleep application with Smartform
Dear friends.
I am having a one problem with HR smartform application. client using standard HR Paysleep aplication developed in PE51, and use this transaction to run 1. now client demands to have logo in the application. it is not possible with pe51. for that i am supposed to create a Z seriese program. now my main problem is if i create the smartform how i link it with the hr application.secondly.. is HRFORMS tcode helps me to create a z seriese smartform.
another problem is i dont know the dictionary structure, table, fields names anything related to the HR. can you send me the documentation on it and ways on which i can complete the task. I am blind in HR. please send me the process how i link smartform to he application.

In PE51 it is not possible to get LOGO, To get Logo u can have 3 options

1. After generation of Payslip we have one function Module GET_PAYSLIP
use this Function Module and call the function module in SAP script/ Smart
Form Program. in u r Smartform/Script put Logo Window and there u can get
Logo in the logo window.
1. Design Payslip using HRFORMS it is similar to Smartforms
3. Use preprinted Stationary (With Logo) and print the payslip on that Paper.

I am facing the same problem with ESS payslip (smartform/Hrform): my customer wants to have custom file name for download salery statements from the portal. Do you know how to change the default form name unknown.pdf to e.g.. "payslip_month_year"?
I spent a lot of time to find any possibility to get and change the file name but without success till now.

Essentially in order to start imaging in HR module you will first need an infrastructure for ArchiveLink in place. You already have application logic in your WAS/BASIS layer, but you would also need external content server. Refer to my post about the options there. You can have low end and free option such as Content Server to high end scalable and more secure options from established ECM players.
Customizing in HR module and ArchiveLink susb-system is well explained in SAP help. You can also e-mail me @ [email protected] for specific questions.
Regarding original question from Jennie, generally attaching archived images with smartform is not really easy as SAP doesn't support inclusion of external binary content in spool requests, unless it is statically linked with SE78/SO10. I'm trying to do a dunning with SmartForms in ECC6.0.
I've customized in SPRO my SmartForm.
I've put in BF31 at 1720 the FM : FI_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE_SMARTF
When I plan a dunning in F150, I face 2 situations :
1) When I don't put any parameters interface in my SmartForm, the dunning is printed out.
2) When I put an interface parameter such as T_MHND, its not going through my SmartForm.
It's very urgent! Please tell me how to retrive data into my SmartForm.

Cannot Print Order Confirmation with Smartforms

I tried to print Order confirmation with Smartform but failed with the return message as "Output could not be issued".
The followings were my settings:.

How to start a application with a login window?

does anyone have any idea on how to start an application with a login window? a login window is the first frame or window to be displayed when an application starts running. and only correct login id and password have been entered the real application will start. any sample out there? thank you.You can start a new thread by making a thread object and passing it an implementation of a runnable object. Runnable has just one method, public void run(), this is was gets executed in a second thread. perhaps the code you would use would look something like this.

I passed in username and password of account "A" to method "LaunchAppWithElevatedPrivilege", and also the application i want to launch, e.g. "C:\windows\regedit.exe", but when i run the service program, i found it do launch
"regedit.exe" with elevated account "A", but the content of regedit.exe is pure back. screenshot as below:
Can anyone help me on this?You code is not dealing with the DACL access to Winsta0\Default. Only the LocalSystem account will have full access and the interactively logged on user which is why regedit is not displaying properly. You'll need to grant access to your user.
You also need to deal with UAC since that code is going to give you a non-elevated token via LogonUser(). You need to get the full token via a call to GetTokenInformation() + TokenLinkedToken.

Hi all
I have a APEX install which I have succesfully registered with SSO as a partner application (I have registered APEX/HTMLDB itself). On this machine we host a number of applications which can be accessed as http://myserver.mydomain.com/pls/htmldb/f?p=APP_NAME1 (and so on to APP_NAME_n).
The business owner of one of these applications wants to have an application-specific URL instead of the generic type URL (eg, http://my-new-app.mydomain.com/....), and to keep the new alias in the browser URL. However, I am sure that this will require me to register the application with SSO as the SSO server won't recognise the new URL.
I have searched the forum and not found any reference to having the entire HTMLDB engine registered as a partner app, and registering individual apps with SSO at the same time. Perhaps, this is so trivial and straightfoward that no-one has come across any problems with this. But I wonder if there are any "gotchas" in having this kind of set up before I actually start on it.

GerardGerard - That should work as that was the intended purpose of having the two "flavors" of SSO partner app integration - so that a workspace schema could have a local copy of the SSO SDK and could use it independently of the Application Express installation's copy. Do let us know how it goes, especially if it works.

Registering a Partner application with Oracle SSO 10gR2

I'd like to ask a question around registering a partner application with Oracle SSO.
I have entered my home_url, logout_url and cancel_url e.g. home_url is https://vevopuitest1.co.uk/vevo_test1 and so on for the other fields.
When I save the details some information is automatically created e.g. Site Id, Site Token etc.
The bit that I am particularly interested in are the fields Single Sign-On URL and Single Sign-Off URL.
For my purposes these fields are respectively: https://cwassotest1.co.uk/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login and https://cwassotest1.co.uk/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_logout
My questions are:
1. Where do these values come from?
2. Can I view them anywhere, say, in Oracle Directory Manager or using ldif queries?
I would like to be able to verify these values.

AndyI'm afraid this won't answer your question completely, but AFAIK in principle it does not matter on which machine SSO is running, as long as it passes the user id and credentials properly through the HTTP Header. Even more: in practice it is very common to have SSO running on a different machine than where your app runs.
So what I would do is find out how to use ADF Faces with SSO. Perhaps someone else can provide pointers on that.

Also, the application uses some tables with some history columns like: "Last Updated by", "Created by", "Last Update Time", etc... While create/edit of any table, I want these columns to be automatically populated according to the credentials used in SSO login page to that application. Please help.
The link given on this forum (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/howtos/sso_partner_app.html) for the purpose seems to be obsolete i.e. for previous versions of APEX.

That how-to explains all the steps you need to set up SSO with Application Express.
As far as the audit columns, just create triggers on your tables. Referenced v('APP_USER') to get the authenticated username.

Single Sign On and Application with Web Services
My Application Server is set as partner application for SSO so for example this address: http://myserver:80 is SSO enabled.
I have two ADF applications on it with jspx pages and the ADF security is enabled on them. SSO works for these applications (for jspx files).
I added a new application with a web service and deployed this new application. It is on the same application server as those two applications and its security provider in identity management, SSO enabled. Its address is something like:
http://myserver:80/newWebService-Project1-context-root/MyWebService1SoapHttpPort
So I expect to be unable to test web service, but I can and I am not prompted for user name and password.

Yes I had cleared the cache and in these cases I always use a new browser also.
I deployed a third application without declarative security options (ADF application, no security settings) and this application also didn't ask me for user information though it was under SSO.

I recently upgraded our family's mac to OS X. I thought this was the perfect time to create and use "user accounts". We had always used 1 main account. So how do I use software or applications with a lot of data like Quicken under my own user account? I wanted to be able to manage my own itunes library, iphone apps, messages. But I still really need to use the Stuff I have in Quicken essentials. I don't want to have to restart all my work done in Quicken already.
I haven't used Quicken in a while, but most applications store your files in your Documents folder. Is that where your Quicken data file is? What you do next depends on how many family members need to get at that data.
If multiple family members need to use the Quicken data file, try moving it to the Documents folder in the Shared account. That is an account that all accounts can see. It's at the same level as the other accounts. In other words, Shared is one level up from your Home account, or Hard Drive/Users/Shared.
If you're the only one allowed to see that Quicken data, move the Quicken data file from the old main account to your account, and don't leave a copy behind. You can use the Shared folder as a way station for the transfer since you won't be able to see both accounts' Documents folders at the same time (because you're not allowed to peek into other people's accounts). Or you can use another disk or server for the transfer, as long as you can get to it when logged into either account. -
Problem with tutorial; "Build a Web Application with JDeveloper 11g Using "
I've got a rather new installation of Vista Business x64 on my developer rig, and last week I installed the new JDeveloper 11g version. The installation was all-inclusive, no customization on my end.
In addition I've got a test installation of an Oracle DB 11gR1 on an available server here.
To familiarize myself with the new JDeveloper I decided to spend some time with the JDeveloper 11g tutorials found here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe11jdev/11/index.html.
I've started twice on the second tutorial, "Build a Web Application with JDeveloper 11g Using EJB, JPA, and JavaServer Faces", and find myself repeatedly stuck at step 19 in section "Creating the Data Model and Testing it".
It seems impossible to deploy the application to the default application server. The server starts fine on its own, I can access it via the admin console on port 7001 and it looks good. However, when I try to run the HRFacadeBean funny things are happening, symptomized by the following error messages seen in the IDE log-area:

I'm not that familiar with these things but it seems to me that there is an issue with port numbers here. The application seems to expect a app.server service at port 7101, but does'nt find one.
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be appreciated?

It fails in a similar way.
What I did was; create a simle 'Hello World' html file, saving it with the jsp extension. In Jdev11g i made a new application and an emtpy project, then loaded the jsp file and made it the default run-target. This compiles nicely.
When running the project it first attempts to start the WebLogicServer (WLS). After a few minutes it is started as seen in the "Running: DefaultServer" pane:

To me it seems that it is attempting to start a separate instance of the WLS for each run attempt, but then I could be wrong.....:(
Later I'll try to change the default WLS port from 7001 to 7101 as suggested in another port here.
I must admit that I'm a bit surprised that the JDev11g doesn't work fine at this very simple level when performing a default install.

I seem to have a problem typing my messages in IM in ipad mini, the problem is, once the keyboard pop up, the space where the letters appears is behind the keyboard. It used to come on top of the keyboard but now it stays behind it and i can't check
