HR Renewal 1.0 FP4 and Standard Process

Hi,
  We had recently installed HR Renewal 1.0 FP4 in our sanbox client
and when we checked the tcode HRASR_DT which is design tool for
HCM Processes and Forms under Forms and Scenarios standard forms are
listed but we don't see standard process. We tried to copy the
processes from Client 000 based on a document below and we dont see
anything under piece list HRASR_PROCCONTENT_VP in client 000 .Are we
missing any steps does the HR Renewal doesn't come up with standard
processes.
http://scn.sap.com/community/erp/hcm/blog/2012/03/21/hcm-processes-forms-mystery-of-the-missing-sample-processesor-where-are-the-pd-processes
Do we have any documentation to copy standard processes?
Thanks,
Latha.

  • Standard process for creating Services and accessing Services on EBS 11i

    All,
    Do you have any kind of documentation that explains how we should handle Services in the EBS 11i?
    We have two types of interfaces currently and no one of them uses Services:
    1. We create files in some kind of gateway
    2. We get files generated in a gateway or when it's the case we access different databases via database link.
    I really appreciate your help.
    Thanks,

    Right, but what would be all the standard process for creating a webservice?
    Is there any kind of document that shows in detail how to do that? and also, how we should access webservices from other systems?

    What are the Accounting Implications takes place once we create and release the credit memo / Debit memo in CRM Complaint Transaction?
    How to see the entire document flow?
    I can create Credit Memo for a Returned Line Item in CRM without any errors. But I could not see any follow-up transaction or process either in CRM or ECC.

    Hi suchi,
    The following would be very useful to you.
    To reduce implementation time for print forms development, SAP has created a set of the most commonly used forms - Preconfigured Smart Forms:
    <u><b>SD:</b></u> Invoice, Quotation, Contract, Delivery Note, Order Confirmation, Scheduling Agreement, Inquiry, Cash Sales, Picking List
    <b><u>MM</u></b>: Purchase Order, Request for Quotation, Contract, Delivery Schedule, Good Issue (3 scenarios), Good Receipt (3 scenarios)
    <b><u>FI:</u></b> Dunning Notice
    All can easily adapt these forms to their requirements, saving time and money.
    Hope this information has been useful to you.
    if you would like to have a smartform of your own i.e a Z or a Y then there is an option to get a sap script copied onto a smartform.
    the sap script for the same is -> <b>F140_DOCU_EXC_01</b>
    Go to Txn SMARTFORMS and just put the required smart form name in FORM field and then go to the menu bar: Utilities-> Migrate SAPScriptForm and juts type in the Script name which is given above(i.e F140_DOCU_EXC_01 )
    I hope this will be an amicable solution.
    if helpful pls reward.
    Thanks

    All of a sudden the apple logo appeared on the screen of my 6th generation ipod classic and the standard process to reset will not work although I've attempted it numerous times. I also noticed that my ipod is not being recognized by either My Computer in Windows 7 or ITunes. I need help desperately!

    So you can't the iPod to boot past the Apple logo? What happens if you try to manually force it into Disk Mode? Does that work?  If so, you can try connecting it to your PC and iTunes in that mode to see if that will iTunes or your PC recognize it long enough for you to perform a restore operation.

  • ABAP Objects and table processing (with logical databases)

    I have a report that is written right now using procedural abap and a logical database.  The report is structured follows (high level):
    start-of-selection.
    get pernr.
      perform get_it0001 using wtab.
      perform get_it0002 using wtab.
      perform get_it0003 using wtab.
      append wtab to itab.
    end-of-selection.
      call function 'reuse_alv_grid_display'
        exporting
          i_structure_name       = 'itabstructure'
        tables
          t_outtab               = itab.
    So basically I'm going through a bunch of personnel numbers, getting a few infotypes and outputting to ALV.  I don't see where ABAP Objects is going to help me for this particular program.
    Can somebody show me where OO ABAP would make this easier?  Does it even make sense to use OO when you're processing with a logical database?  (Not just PNP, but any logical database in general).
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Lee
    I assume that the routines GET_ITnnnn are written by yourself. For reading infotypes ABAP Objects provides us with same very helpful classes as shown below:
    * define data
      DATA:
        gif_employee      type ref to if_pt_employee,
        go_employee       type ref to cl_pt_employee,
        gt_infotypes      TYPE tim_tmw_itlist_tab,
        go_control        TYPE REF TO if_pt_td_control,
        go_data           TYPE REF TO if_pt_td_base,
        go_pnnnn          TYPE REF TO if_pt_td_itnnnn,
        gt_p0001          TYPE TIM_P0001_TAB,
        gt_p0002          TYPE TIM_P0002_TAB,
        gt_p0003          TYPE TIM_P0003_TAB.
    start-of-selection.
    GET pernr.
    <b>* Create employee instance</b>
      gif_employee = cl_pt_employee=>get_employee( pernr ).
      go_employee ?= gif_employee.
    <b>* Get master infotypes (0001, 0002)</b>
      CALL METHOD go_employee->get_master_data

          i_noauthcheck = 'X'
        IMPORTING
          e_result      = gt_infty_request
          e_retcd       = gd_retcd.
    * Please see documentation of parameter e_retcd...
      LOOP AT gt_infty_request INTO go_control.
        go_data = go_control->data.  <b>" get data object</b>
    *   Casting
        TRY.
            go_pnnnn ?= go_data.
          CATCH cx_sy_move_cast_error.
            CONTINUE.
        ENDTRY.
    <b>*   Convert infotype (semi-transparent -> transparent)</b>
        CALL METHOD cl_hr_pnnnn_type_cast=>prelp_to_pnnnn
          EXPORTING
            prelp = lo_pnnnn->prelp
          IMPORTING
            pnnnn = gs_p0003.
        APPEND gs_p0027 TO gt_p0003.
      ENDLOOP.
    The class CL_PT_EMPLOYEE provides us already with very easy access to so-called master infotypes (000, 0001, 0002, 0007 and 0008). All other infotypes can be read using method GET_INFOTYPES.
    Using these classes we have a very convenient and standardized way of accessing all kinds of infotypes.

  • Goods Return Standard process

    Hi experts,
    here is the scenario:
    A customer returns a prdouct he received from vendor on account of quality defects.
    What is the standard process followed by industry for this return scenario both in customer and vendor R/3 systems?
    Does customer sends any ASN or IDOC or any other communication to the Vendor along with the returned products?
    If the vendor receives any communication in form of IDOC or ASN then how does he comes to know that the customer has sent a return delivery?

    Hi Siva,
    Delivery completion Indicator tick on. then no futher delivery expect from vendor or plant. even that is partial delivery also.
    so, once set the delivery indicator you cann't reference the PO for further processing of doc.
    Deletion line item. during creation or till the GR you can do the deletion of line item.
    once receive any one GR done againt the PO then you can't set deletion indicator. even partial or full delivery happen you cann't set the deletion indicator,
    because the subsequent documents are already proceded for PO like GR & IV.

    Hi ,
    This currently seems like a bug , we have encountered this too.
    work around is you have to delete the rtf files from server Siebel\client\temp\XMLP directory and upload them again so that they are not cached any more.
    same on dedicated client you may have to delete relavant files form siebel\client\temp\xmlp directory and upload again.

  • Re: tracing execution and standard Forte messagefilters

    Pierre,
    There is a tech note describing some of the trace flags that will show
    you interpreter profile information. This interface, the information
    produced, etc. may change in future releases that's why it's a tech
    note and not in the documentation set.
    Hope this helps,
    Bobby
    This note describes how to use the execution profile collector built into
    the Tool Interpreter.
    NOTE: THIS INTERFACE IS UNSUPPORTED BUT IS MADE AVAILABLE AS IS TO USERS
    UNTIL A SUPPORTED INSTANCE OF THE FEATURE EXISTS.
    THE SUPPORTED VERSION WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT FUNCTIONALITY AND FORM.
    The Tool Interpreter contains an execution profile data collector. The
    collection
    information can be displayed as trace output or the raw data can be collected
    by the program for further manipulation and display. This information
    describes the current level of support available. It is possible that this
    mechanism will be updated in future releases and/or integrated into the
    TOOL debugger.
    The profiler only counts intructions executed in the interpreter, it doesn't
    account for time spent in C++ code. However it is sill useful in finding
    problems in interpreted code and for viewing the dynamic call flow of the
    application.
    The following trace information is available:
    TRACE CALL-RETURN
    This trace outputs a single indented line for each method call and
    another single line for each method return. The line is indented an
    amount equal to the call depth of the task calling the method. The
    following information is displayed:
    Task Id
    Task Name
    Method Name
    Method Instruction Count
    Task(Id=5,Name=InitialLom)Method(Name=Forte.TopClass.StartUp)
    Task(Id=5,Name=InitialLom)Method(Instructions=10)
    This is enabled using trace setting trc:in:50:1.
    This trace can also be used to see the control flow of an application.
    TRACE TASK BY METHOD
    This trace outputs information about a task and all of the methods that
    where called during it's execution. Each method contains information
    about the number of times that the method was called and the total
    number of instructions consumed by the methods execution. The task
    contains the totals of all calls and instructions performed by the
    task. The methods are sorted in descending order of instructions
    executed.
    The following in an example of the output:
    TaskByMethod(Id=9,Name=projws.display,Instructions=2212)
    ide.projws.updateMenus(Called=1,Instuctions=556)
    ide.projws.addBlockComponentsToTree(Called=1,Instuctions=321)
    ide.projwsPrefs.LoadPrefs(Called=1,Instuctions=247)
    ide.projwsPrefs.Apply(Called=1,Instuctions=206)
    UtilsDisplay.PrefMgr.FetchUserPref(Called=12,Instuctions=168)
    ide.projws.computeWindowSize(Called=1,Instuctions=168)
    ide.projws.refreshBrowser(Called=1,Instuctions=76)
    UtilsBase.CompileSession.SetScope(Called=1,Instuctions=68)
    ide.projws.fillToolObjTree(Called=1,Instuctions=65)
    ide.projws.setTitle(Called=1,Instuctions=53)
    UtilsBase.CompileSession.Init(Called=1,Instuctions=48)
    UtilsBase.InterfaceBrokerBase.GetCompileSession(Called=1,Instuctions=41)
    UtilsBase.InterfaceBrokerBase.LockSession(Called=1,Instuctions=30)
    AppModel.abSurrogateRepositoryClient.GetRepository(Called=3,Instuctions=21)

    UtilsDisplay.Workshop.Events(Called=1,Instuctions=20)
    UtilsDisplay.Workshop.HelpEvents(Called=1,Instuctions=19)
    ide.projws.lookupMask(Called=1,Instuctions=17)
    UtilsBase.CompileSession.GetVersionStateForPlan(Called=1,Instuctions=14)
    ide.projws.LoadPrefs(Called=1,Instuctions=13)
    AppModel.abSurrogateRepositoryClient.GetVersionStateForPlan(Called=1,Instuct
    ions=8)
    AppModel.abSurrogateRepositoryClient.FindProject(Called=1,Instuctions=8)
    ide.projws.resetCurrentNode(Called=1,Instuctions=7)
    AppModel.abSurrogateRepositoryClient.IsDetached(Called=1,Instuctions=7)
    ide.projws.selectComponent(Called=1,Instuctions=6)
    ide.projwsPrefs.Init(Called=1,Instuctions=5)
    This is enabled using trace setting trc:in:51:1.
    TRACE APP BY METHOD
    This trace outputs information about an application and all of the
    methods that were called during its execution. Each method contains
    information about the number of times that the method was called and
    the total number of instructions consumed by the methods execution.
    The application contains the totals of all calls and instructions
    performed by the task.
    The output is similar to the previous case.
    This is enabled using trace setting trc:in:53:1.
    TRACE TASK BY CALLTREE
    This trace outputs the call tree of the task. The call tree shows a
    method and all of the methods that it called. And for each of the
    called methods the same output is displayed. This can be used to
    see more of the call structure of a task. It call also be used to
    find the paths in the call tree that consumed most of the instructions.
    The methods are sorted in descending order of instructions executed
    within each level of the call tree.
    TRACE APP BY CALLTREE
    This trace outputs the call tree of the application. The call tree
    shows a method and all of the methods that it called. And for each of
    the called methods the same output is displayed. This can be used to
    see more of the call structure of an application. It call also be used
    to find the paths in the call tree that consumed most of the
    instructions.
    The output is similar to the previous case.
    This is enabled using trace setting trc:in:54:1.
    The following collected information is available:
    NOTE: None of the collection options are available at this time.
    COLLECT TASK BY METHOD
    COLLECT APP BY METHOD
    COLLECT TASK BY CALLTREE
    COLLECT APP BY CALLTREE
    Other potential future features:
    The profiler doesn't record when some interpreted TOOL code invokes a method
    on a object which in implemented in C++. This causes some profile
    information to be lost. If the C++ code invokes a method that is
    implemented as interpreted TOOL the BYCALLTREE profile will not show the
    C++ code. Thus it could be confusing because it appears that the
    interpreted code called something totally different than the what is
    expected.

    1) add your own trace instructions (calls to the LogMgr) at the appropriate
    places,
    2) use the traces of the Forte Interpreter !
    If one relies on solution 1, then it relies on what the developers have
    written (and thus sometime forgotten to write !) in their code.
    If one relies on solution 2, then potentially it can get as much information
    as is available to the interpreter (and the debugger ?), in a fully
    independant way since it uses directly the code itself and not added trace
    instructions.
    So solution 2 seems quite interesting.
    Unfortunately there are some potential problems :
    a) I haven't found in the documentation an exhaustive description of the
    logs the Forte tools do. The only and very short description is on page 148
    of the System management Guide. It's far from being exhaustive. So it
    requires playing with the filters.
    I recommand trying trc:in:1-63. I guess "in" stands for the interpreter.
    - level 1 seems to give the call tree,
    - level 255 seems to give almost the code !
    b) since the flags are not documented by Forte, how reliable and stable will
    they be in future versions ?
    c) what happens for compiled partitions is not clear to me (I have not tried
    it yet).
    So my question : are the message filters used by the Forte Tools like the

    Pierre Gelli,
    level 255 is the most detailed you are right on tracing..... As for documentation
    you will want to get ahold of several good tech notes that your Forte
    rep or support can get you which provide alot of the info you are after.
    Let me know if you can't do this and I can send you some of this info, but you are
    best to get the latest and greatest directly from Forte.

    Hi,
    Is there any standard process to create structure from backend.I want to create 300 options for a option feature from backend.

    AJ --
    Configurator provides a "Custom Import" capability to automatically create structure. It is documented in Chapter 5 ("Populating the CZ Schema") of the Oracle Configurator Implementation Guide.
    However, setting up a custom import may actually take you more time than just creating the Options manually in Configurator Developer. If the Options need to be duplicated across several Models, it may be advantageous to build them as Items in the Configurator Developer Item Master instead, and then use Populators to automatically create corresponding Options within your Option Feature(s).

  • HR Renewal 1.0 FP4 navigation fails via Portal

    Hi All,
    We have installed HR Renewal 1.0 FP4. We are trying to use the ESS HR Launch Page (UI5) via the SAP Portal 7.3.1 SP9. The Launch page appears correctly but when
    clicking the on Leave Request the Web Gui opens and the SAP Easy Access Menu
    appears instead of the relevant UI5 Screen.
    We have implemented the following notes:
    1864001 - Resolving of system alias for launchpad service
    1956146 - Shell API support for navigation with system alias in Enterprise Portal
    Using HTTP Watch we have noticed that the link is resolved to the following:
    http://<host_name>:<host_port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/HRESS_LEAVREQ_G/index.html
    instead of
    http://<host_name>:<host_port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/HRESS_LEAVREQ_G/index.html
    It seems that this is related to the Web AS Setup for the
    relevant System Connector in the Portal, which is maintained as follows:
    ICM Host Name: <host_name>:<host_port>
    ICM Protocol: http
    ICM URL Prefix: /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui
    Is there any recommendation on how to set up the Web AS or any idea of how to overcome this issue?
    Thank
    you in advance,

    Let me explain the usage of reverse proxy, web dispatcher needs to be setup as reverse proxy if you choose gateway to be setup in different system. With HCM Renewal 1.0, we introduced HTML5 landing pages. We call it the lanes landing pages. The lanes landing pages has two facets two it - the User Interface (UI) - the Data The UI requires the UI5 add-on. This is something which you have already installed. The data for the UI is served up from the Backend system as a OData service via the Gateway system. The landing page needs a reverse proxy to direct the browser requests to either the back-end system where the JavaScript sources are stored, o or to the SAP Gateway system where the OData services are located " Like any Web Application, the HTML5 artifacts (html, js, css) are loaded on to your browser the very first time the landing page application is launched. For this, the browser makes a http requests to the backend system where the artifacts are stored. Once the artifacts are loaded, subsequent calls will be to fetch data from the HCM backend. HCM backend data is exposed as OData services via the Gateway. NW Gateway provides the infrastructure required to convert HCM (ERP in general) data to application/device friendly OData services.Hence Gateway is an intergral part of the whole product. In short: The Reverse proxy talks to the backend HCM system once in a session to load the html5 artifacts. But it communicates with the gateway system whenever data is requested.
