HR Renewal - MSS My Team

Hello Experts,
From the HR renewal MSS Catalog, under the Actions menu for each employee in My Team, the employee profile does not bring back any data.
In the same Actions menu, personal information on behalf of employee is working as expected.
What could be the root cause of one application not bringing back any information?
The launchpad role and instance is MSS/EMPLOYEE_MENU and the system version is HR Renewal 1.0 feature pack 4 SP18. See screenshot with application link details.

Hi All,
Actually the scenario is that the some employees ae moved from one manager to another onn 16th of a month say oct.
These employees are still displayed in the team calender of the old (previous) manager for that month(oct).
We wanted to verify if this is the correct behaviour or since the employees are no longer reporting to the manager, these should not be displayed in the team calendar of the manager?
Urgent assistance would be appreciated.

MSS iView 'Team Calendar' display only one Month

Hi ,
The Managers want to see at least 3 months for the leave , in order to schedule resources/coverage .MSS iView 'Team Calendar' display only one Month . Can we change the number of months ? or use another tool/functionality via the portal ?
Any help or documentation are welcome .

In SAP standard config there is no option so as to display more than one month on in Team calender iView.
In you case you will have to do development.

MSS PCR Team viewer Not working Poeperly when nodata available

We have implemented MSS Business package for Nw04 Sp18 portal and ERP2004 system.
When using PCR team viewer list, we observed strange problem.
We have created 4 views in r/3 side using OADP img .all the views are displaying data correctly ,when each view has data available at back end, for any view if doesn't have data its showing previous view data instead of showing "no data found".
But its working fine in QA portal, in DEV system we found this strange behavior. We compared all the config b/w two systems, not able to find the problem. Any one has any suggestions most welcome.

Not sure that I understand the issue here - are you saying that there are directly reporting employees who are not appearing in MSS unless the manager has SAP_ALL authorisation? Are you also using HR structural authorisations?
You do know how the standard "Direct Reporting" view in MSS is supposed to work? As in, which employees you should be expecting to appear?
The "Direct Reports" option uses an evaluation path called MSSDIREC, which references a relationship called B900 "Manager under manager". Relationship B900 uses program RHDIREPO to find the relevant objects.
For us at least, the standard "Direct Reports" only returns (1) employees in the same Org Unit as the manager, (2) employees in subordinate Org Units that do not have an occupied Chief position, and (3) managers (i.e. Chiefs) in subordinate Org Units.

MSS - Customize Team View

Hello,
We are implementing MSS on Portal and trying to hide/remove fields in the MSS - Team View Application under Home.
When a manager views the employees in the Team View, and selects the 'Open Detailed Team View' link at the bottom he can drag/select employees and do a comparison. On the Comparison screen , I want to hide/remove fields for Talent Data.
How can we achieve this?
Any help would be highly Appreciated.

Issue in MSS Report - Team Absence Overview after backend patching

Hi Experts,
We have SAP EP 640 SP23 connected to backend ERP2004 SP23. we have applied SAP_HRCGB patch 60 on backend system and now facing issues in accessing MSS reports from portal - Team Absence Overview, Basic Employee Data,etc.
Exception from defaulttrace is :

When we apply patches in backend system (for SAP_HR component), is it mandatory to apply patches for the deployed ESS/MSS business packages in portal also. And where can we find the information which patch of business package is corresponding to backend patches.

yes its mandatory to upgrade both FRONT END And backend to the compatible levels.
You cant have one at a higher level than other.
You need to read the notes which are regularly updated by SAP.
You can search for these notes by giving Stack level
Service.sap.com

MSS TeamView (Team Calendar) Colours

Hi All,
Have an issue where people who are colour blind cannot see leave request on the MSS TeamView Application.
Can change the colours in the portal theme to reflect different colours on the leave request/leave approval process, however the ess~lea/TeamView application uses the IGS and does not use the theme colour scheme.
I believe the colours are built in the RFC call which builds the graphical output.
Have tried to debug the RFC PT_ARQ_TEAMCALE_GET but I cannot see where the colours are set. THought that RFC PT_ARQ_EECALE_GET might set the colours (as it contains blue/red/green colour fields) but it doesn't seem to be call.
Please don't tell me how to change the theme colours in the Date Navigator as I've already tried this and it does not reflect on the ess~lea/TeamView app.

The calendar is displaying one column of days before every month of the calendar.
Can anyone help me out in this issue.

MSS PCRs - Team Viewer authorizations

We have customised team viewer views for HR Manager's employees, based on administrator fields in the IT0001. The way it looks like now, is that the initating user has the option to select either "Directly Subordinate" view or "HR Manager's View".
The initiating officer could be Line Manager or HR Manager.
Is there a way to use R/3 authorization in such a way as to have only "Directly Subordinate View" available for LIne Manager, and only "HR Manager's view" available for HR Manager?
I hope the above query is lucid enough.

Which evaluation path/s are you using to find employees?
Must admit I haven't tried it in the ECC version yet, but in the "old" OADP I did get this scenario working reliably at a previous customer site.
I found it was easiest to create a new view that firstly uses an evaluation path that found the managers' position for the "Root Object", and a second evaluation path that collects the employees via B002. Maybe it isn't quite so easy with the new team viewer config in ECC.......

Pre-defined performance - MSS - Cascading team Goals

Hi Experts,
we are using the SAP pre-defined performance EHP4 system.
We have created a template in our DEV system and are able to create the appraisal document from the Manager and update by the employee.
Within the team goals screen (iview) of the pre-defined template, we can select the view u201CDirect Reportsu201D which allows us to Cascading of team Goals.
Our issue is if we select the view u201COrg Unit structureu201D or the u201CEmployee structureu201D then we get a Portal crash
The other related issue is the goal end date is being defaulted as 31.12.9999 and we are getting the error u201CEntered dates must be in the current yearu2019 where the plan start date is 01.08.2010 and the end date is 31.07.2011.
Does the start and end date of the goals have to be a calendar year?
Please can someone tell me if they did any additional config or found a solution to these issues?

Hi,
in the standard the team goals period is limited to a maximum of one year. But SAP provides two enhancements (enhancement spot HRHAP00_GOAL_PERIOD) that can be used to allow different periods. These are:
- HRHAP00GOAL_PERIOD_GEN For the generic UI
- HRHAP00GOAL_PERIOD_PMP For the predifined process
So you may use these to fulfill your requirement. Just take into account that the Goal assessment for the goals (if they are valid more than one year) would be the same for all the validity period of the goal.

We required direct report employees list only should display MSS Team workset
    Emp: Direct report employees only 44 to that manager but in MSS team workset nearly 90 employees
            are displying
I am client side functional consultant, my ESS & MSS project done by other company
Now they left the company I had no much knowledge on the ESS& MSS Team calendar just I had knowledge functional side so please guide me to close my issue

MSS : Team Calender - Legend colors - Leave Request TOIL

Hello All,
We have a scenario where in MSS --> Overview --> Team calender , In one of the legends colors (Leave Request\TOIL), its showing blank, rest of the legend colors seems to be working fine, We tried to look into the badi at the ECC level as well and nothing seems to be missing.
Could anyone please us know if the there are any personalizations that needs to be done for the in this regard on the portal level? if so , Could anyone let us know the steps for the same ?.

MSS team overview.

Hello Gurus,
When a manager log in to the portal in MSS under team overview he/she will able to view all the employees in his and all the subordinate unit employees. If I want to limit this to only his own organization unit and not any other subordinate units then what is the role that should be given.
Is this data taken from transaction PPOS or is there any standard service that is feeding this. Is there a table where I can change to achieve my goal? Please advice.

In addition to setting up the object and data provider, its good to setup viewgroups and columngroups according to your need. This way, you have more cleaner way fo filtering the list of employees that gets displayed for a manager.

While accessing the Team Calender by MSS Portal , its taking much time , even when we are accessing Team calender in Production portal, its taking so much time.

Is this issue only with team calender or all the services in MSS including team viewer.
If this is only with team calender where manger views attendance of employee then debug the application and specifically look at the RFC timing.
This can be an issue with respect to sizing of system if all the mss applications are resulting in poor response otherwise as suggested raise an OSS.

MSS Report Selection

Hi,
I am working on MSS My Team. In the role there is a workset about reporting I configure the releated organizational views. But all report are not working. Thats why i want to delete some reports from categories. Or I want to delete one category from category selection combobox.
How can I do this? I could not find the releated part in the customizing steps.

Depends on what version you are using...
MSS for ECC5 and lower...all reporting for the "report launchpad" is done via Manager's Desktop (MDT) configuration actually. MDT is found right under the Employee Self Serevice config area in the IMG (not IN it, under it...as in the next listing down...usually)
For ECC6 now, you can still use the above or "migrate" that config to the newer config way of doing things (has it's own section under MSS now too).
