Hi All,
I am newly joined to SDN.I have 2 years of experience in SAP technical part.
I want to learn HR in Technical and Functional part.I want to become a tchno-functional.
I don't have any possiability to sit in the client discussions.
I don't know how to start and where to start and which topics i need to learn first.
If anybody assist on learning SAP HR it would be great help for me.
First i want to start with all HR technical concepts.
Can anybody please all HR technical concepts in Details.
Where can i find this.Please help me out.

Hi Swapna,
Welcome to SDN family!
Firstly regarding the technical expertise, if u r new to SAP and have sound knowledge on any programming language like C++ or Java, its very easy for u to learn ABAP.
I suggest that you complete ABAP course first and then join HR stream, when u start with the HR, first go thru BPPs and once u are familiar with the end user's process, you can start configuring based on the requirements.With this you will be on the first step towards becomming a Techno-Functional consultant.
This will indeed involve lots of interaction with the Client during the requirement gathering as well as post-implementation support which is followed there after.

Which Reports should be done in BI & which Reports in ECC/ABAP

Hi,
We are implementing SAP ECC & BI in Laggard manner or near simultaneously. Now I as a BI consultant need to suggest which reports should be created in BI & which ones in ECC itself?
I understand that more aggregated, summarised or analytical sorts of reports, also those which need slice & dice & drilldown during navigation should be in BI.
But also apart from these points is there any thumb rules or fundas to decide??

It's look like your client first time using BI system, He might be aware or not aware of ECC.
It's happen mostly that when ECC & BI Immplemention happen simultiounsly, That time Client's as well as Project Management team concentration on ECC not on BW.
1) You check on which Functional Modules reports client is expecting.
2) Then check and install Standard Data flow and reports in your SandBox.
3) Then show thease reports of respective module to your Functional team so they also be understand what is possible in BW or not possible.
4) If your Functional team satisfy with the report's output. Then take training programe for user (Not everybody but few people from Client side). Once they understand how system is working then they will come with their requirement. There your job as Techo-Functional consultant "Can it is possible in BW side with respect to business logic?" there you are have decide.

EP vs BIW

Hi all,
I am generally from a Java Background.
I know ABAP including Cross App.
I am not able to decide whether I should go for EP or BIW.
If we want to grow techo functionally what shoudl i do .

If the organization is very big and they want variety of reports in all possible dimensions then BI may be the prime component and we can't deny XI presence in that land scape because it is a very big organization.
Incase of medium size or small size they may not need BI as their data may be managable amount.In this scenario they may also do not need XI if they do not have many systems and many trading/business partners.
Coming to portal, Yes this is another very important component as end/super/business users are more interested in look and feel, of course EP just does not provide good look & feel as it also provides Single Sign On and other good stuff. When the organization grows bigger and bigger every component has it is importance.
I know i am actually sharing very common things about all these components but i would like to extend this discussion to see some of the live examples to support the usage of each compenet so that we can make some meaningful matrix.

Production Order TechO & close

Hi Maddy,
When you expect nothing from the production order then you can TECO the order (i.e. Technically complete). When you TECO the order that means there is no mo goods receipt from that order. you can do that by going to T code COR2
Menu ---> Process order ---> Functions -
> Restrcit processing -
> Technically complete
After the order is TECO'd , cost against the order is settled & then you can close the order.
Goto Menu -
> Process order ---> Functions -
> Restrcit processing -
> Close

could not be executed in the required manner and open requirements for the order (reservations,capacities) should be deleted.

· Capacity requirements are deleted
· Purchase requisitions for external operations or non-stock materials are deleted
· The order and its operations receive the system status (TECO)

cannot be changed. You can however cancel technical completion, for instance if order data has
to be changed.
After technical completion you can still make posting for order.
For instance,material withdrawal or a confirmation can be posted if they were previously forgotten.
*Closed Order :
*The Closed (CLSD) status has been introduced in the production order. It has the following
characteristics:
· No more costs can be posted to the order, that is, confirmations and goods movements are
no longer permitted for the order.
· The order can no longer be changed. Exceptions to this are revoking the CLSD status and
setting the deletion flag.
· All actions relating to the status technically completed are executed
· In a collective order, the CLSD status is also set for subordinate orders.
· If the system comes across an order in the collective order that cannot be closed, the orders
that come between this order and the leading order are also not closed. Other subtrees are
closed if they only contain orders that can be closed.

Fax function of HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 Color MFP M575

I am one of users of HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 Color MFP M575.
I would like to know can I set the printer do not print my fax number and fax header on paper when I fax my document to others.
I had login as admin but I did not see where I can config it.

There is no change to this problem after 6 months since the last post. Put simply, and as stated in the previous posts, there is no way to scan a document and receive the image on your PC. If you are working with graphics for any length of time or want to create an image for inclusion as an image in a document or web page using this piece of equipment will not allow you to do so.
Great shame as every other function works well - it cannot be beyond the wit of HP to include a Windows application that enables you to scan an image, receive it in the software you are using at the time (e.g. Outlook, Word, Photoshop...) and use it in your work.
HP Printers several years older than this £1000+ Enterprise printer were able to do this simple job and have done so for a great many years. Just being able to use Microsoft's Fax and Scan would be start.

If statement in CE function

Hi,
When we use IF in calculation view with CE function the SQL engine is used.
When we remove the "IF" the CE engine is used.
Is there any alternative for if or case in CE functions?

We are trying to use it inside projection:

works but:

IPhone 5s Voice memo to mp3. Now music on iPhone. Won't play from search function.

I record my band rehearsals using the voice memo on my iPhone 5s. Then I sync to iTunes and convert file to mp3. When i sync back to my iPhone it appears in my music. So far, so good. When I use the search function in music it finds the file but won't play from tapping. I must troll through all my music songs (currently 2227 of them) to find it and then play it. Is it something to do with it still being under the genre "voice memos" or what ? Anybody help please. Thanks

HP AiO Remote app will not recognize scan and copy function of HP Envy 120

Good morning! HP AiO Remote App is installed on my iPad4 and in the same WiFi network with my HP Envy 120 printer. The printer is recognized by the app and marked with a green led. When I tap on scan or copy in the app menu, it tells me that these functions were available in the app only for printers which provide these features. But HP Envy 120 has both scanner and copier. And last time it worked. Some idea what could have happened here? Thanks. UJ

Hi UJKarl, welcome to the HP Forums. You should be able to scan from the HP AIO Remote App on your Envy 120 printer. You probably just need to power cycle the printer, iPad and router to regain proper function.
Turn off your printer with the power button. Power down the iPad by holding the sleep button down until you get the option to 'slide to power off'. Then disconnect the power cord to your router and count to about 10, and then plug it back in. Once the router comes back online, turn the printer on. When the printer comes back online (blue wi-fi light stops blinking), then power the iPad back up. Try again, and it should work.

7515 ios 8 scanning doesn't function using document feeder

My AiO remote updated on my iPad today and i have issues scanning from the scanner. The printer and tablet functions properly when scanning using the glass however when using the document feeder, AiO remote scans the sheets then before saving it says there is a problem with the scanner, check the scanner. not sure why it works with the glass and NOT with the feeder.

I am having the exact same problem. I will add that scanning from the document feeder to my Mac Book works fine. The problem with the document feeder is only whenn atttempting to use the AiO software on my iPad.

I am replicating some of the sample report of SQL Servers in BusinessObjects XI R3.1.
One of the SQL Sever's report is of product catalogue type that gives complete information like name, category, description along with the products image etc... for each of the products.
I am trying to replicate the above said SQL Server report in Business objects XI R3.1. I am facing problem in bringing the image in to my BO report. The image resides in a table and its datatype is of varbinary(max). I don't know the exact matching while creating an object in the uiverse designer.
