HRHAP00_LINK_004 - Displaying Manager Appraisal document

Dear Experts,
We are implementing PD - Objective settings and Appraisals for our client (ECC 6.0 EHP level 5) and we are facing the below issue:
The client requirement is that the Appraisee should be able to view his manager appraisal document which will be used as reference for filing his goals/KRA'
There is an existing functionality provided by SAP using badi implementation " HRHAP00_LINK_004" which provides a button "Document Manager" in the Appraisal document. But on clicking the button no document is getting displayed.
Can anyone please suggest how to proceed on this?

Error on Flexible Performance Management Appraisal Document

Hello Experts,
We are in the process of building Performance Management using Enhancement Package 4 in ECC 6.0. I am having issues with getting the Appraisal Document to work for MSS. Just to clarify too, I have no experience with Performance Management and the fact that we are using Enhancement package 4, our Functional consultants are not sure what to expect either. One more thing, the SICF service is activated.
*) When trying to preview the Appraisal Document (com.sap.pct.erp.mss.hap_document), I am receiving a Portal Run Time error.
*) When I go into SE80, I am using Package u2018PAOC_HAP_DOCUMENT_WD_UIu2019 to run a test on Web Dynpro Application HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT, I am receiving u2018Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible.u2019
*) When I go into SE80, I am using Package u2018PAOC_HAP_DOCUMENT_WD_UIu2019 to run a test on Web Dynpro Configuration HAP_AC_MAIN_DOC, I am receiving u201Cu2018Error in Calling Up Applicationu2019 The Web Dynpro application was called up with the wrong URL parametersu201D.
QUESTIONS:
1) Do I have to implement Generic Performance Management (com.sap.pct.erp.mss.14.generic_performance_management) to call the appraisal document?
2) Is there any special configuration that needs to be done to make the HAP_MAIN_DOC work (portal or R/3)?
3) Do I need to manually create an SICF service for this?
4) Is there any documentation on how to implement the Flexible?
Any direction would be appreciated.

Hello H2R,
I copied the Iview Generic Performance Management (com.sap.pct.erp.mss.14.generic_performance_management) with Application Name 'HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI_MSS' and the Application Configuration Name 'HAP_START_PG_POW_MSS_AC'.
Activated the SICF services of 'hap_main_document', 'HAP_START_PG_POW_MSS_AC', 'HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI_MSS. Also, I would activate the services that begin with 'HAP' that l thought that I would need.
In SE80, there are 2 locations to find these Applications: 1) Web Dynpro Comp./Intf. = FPM_OIF_COMPONENT and 2) Package = PAOC_HAP_DOCUMENT_WD_UI.
As for the notes, we are on SAPK-60420INEAHRGXX, these are the notes that we applied:
1468466 - PM Launchpad Config
1463821 - PM Portal Config
1416756 - OBN Config in PM
1408243 - Config for OBN

Performance Management (Appraisal Documents) ABAP webdynpro error on HTTPS

Hello all,
Please help , in resolving the issue with Performance Management Application "Appraisal Documents" getting Blanks Screen on the routing back from "Appraisal Document" after user close the application. Issue is only applicable in 'HTTPs' and work fine in internal network.
On HTTP Watch : "ERROR_HTTP_INVALID_SERVER_RESPONSE" in the trace.
Steps to replicate :
1. User click on the "Appraisal Documents" link on the Area page and open the application on the new window.
2. User select one of the "Appraisal document" from the list available to work on it , which result in another window.
3. User close the application after finishing the work on the "Appraisal Document" and return on the Parent window "Appraisal Documents".
4. At this point "Appraisal Documents " window get refresh and every things looks great.
5. Now if user want to select another appraisal document to work on it in "Appraisal documents" window, it freeze or give blank screen.

I have requirement that for the appraisal Document notes section in Performance mangemet,
I need to provide the functionalities of Character count and Chacter restriction.
For this After my investigation I found I need to implement the BAdi HRHAP00_DOC_BC ( Business Check BADi).
Can any one provide me some sample code How I can implement My requirement.

The Badi "HRHAP00_DOC_BC" is a business check badi used to check the appraisal data in the appraisal document against the business check defined by the customer.
How to use: Create the Filter value in the OOHAP_BASIC tcode and add the Badi to the appraisal template under further template behaviour. This should make the appraisal docuemnt respond to the badi call.
Implementation expamle: This Badi has the method to check the data in the appraisal docuemnt against customer specific check points. Say if the custome wants the minimum rating per employee to be 1. Or Promotion as YES/eligible for employee rated at 5.
This check can be done here and an appropriate error can be raisedthrough the "return" (BAPI_RETURN ?) parameter of the method.
I dont have a SAP system with me right now. But this should be easiliy implementable by an ABAPer.

PMS Unlocking Appraisal documents

Hi all
We like to unlock all the locked appraisal documents for every half an hour.
For the above functionality our ABAPer has written a Z program to unlock all the appraisal documents and wanted it to be scheduled for every half an hour.
Functionality of the above program.
1) Go to Tcode PHAP_ADMIN and execute.
2) Go to the tab Goto-> Locked appraisal documents, Then it will show all the locked appraisal documents.
3) Select all the locked appraisal documents and then press unlock, then all the appraisal documents will be unlocked.
The same above functionality is incorporated the program, so if it is scheduled for every half an hour,then the appraisal documents will be open to the employees for every half an hour.
As the process is not any way related to SM12 TCode (which consists of all the locked objects),the other objects other than Appraisal documents will not be unlocked.
Goto-> Locked appraisal documents is only specific for the appraisal documents.
But as per our knowledge SAP Standard is unlocking all the appraisal documents for every one hour.
If we schedule this Z Program for every half an hour, then both the standard and the Z Program will clash for every hour which is not required.
Can any one tell me where to change that one hour limit to half an hour in the standard it self.
or will there be any problem if both the programs clashes for every hour
Please let me know how SAP Unlocks the Appraisal Documents for every hour, (Using a background job or Is it a configuration)If it is a background job please let me know the standard job, so that we can change the time of the standard job.

I have searched the Tcode RZ11, there for the parameter what you have specified, the value is 1800 seconds.
But when I observed in the system, I have logged in to the portal, we are displaying the appraisal document through a custom BSP application.I opened the appraisal document, then in the back end it is locked, after that I have kept the portal session idle for 1 hour. Later after 1 hour I have noticed that the appraisal document was unlocked but the portal session is still active(not Auto logged off). By this observation I think that there might be no connection between auto logoff parameter and Unlocking appraisal documents.
I have gone through other parameters in the table TPFYPROPTY, but I couldn't able to find out the actual parameter.
I think the parameter might be of the type Enqueue, because it is regarding locking.
Can you please help me out in this issue or provide me any document related to the parameters and their working.

History of Appraisal Document for an Employee MSS

Dear Expert.
I am implementing PM (Appraisal Document) ESS/MSS with BP 1.41. However I have the following doubt:
When an employee had a "Organizational Change" and the boss want see the appraisals that were did for this emplooyee.
My question is: With the MSS The boss can see this appraisal also ?

In order to display an appraisal document, access to the template, the
appraiser and the appraisee is needed. Besides the two ways outlined
above, you can also disable the authority check against the appraiser.
You can do this in the appraisal template in the 'Processing' tab; the
setting is called 'No Authorization Check for Appraiser'. Despite the
slightly misleading description, this option disables the check against
the appraiser, so for accessing a document only the objects of the
template and the appraisee are checked. This is convenient, if managers
should be able to see old documents of their employees, no matter who
did the appraisal.
To enable that flag in the template, you might need to unrelease the
template first. In your test system you can either set the flag directly
in table 'HRP5025' or take a look at note '888650'. The report included
in that note allows you to temporary unrelease a template. If you use
that report, please only change this flag, since changing other
settings, might result in data inconsistency. When you are finished,
release the template again.
or if you dont want to set this parameter, you can consider the BADI
In order to see or find an appraisal document, you need to have
structural authorization for the objects involved; for all employees and
the appraisal template.
In case 1, the appraiser of department 2 does not have the authorization
to display the personal data of appraiser 1.
In case 2, appraiser 2 does not have the necessary authorization to
display the appraisee of the document.
Thus this is the expected system behavior. I can think of two possible
solutions:
1) You could enhance the structural authorization of the affected
appraisers.
2) Implement the BAdI 'HRHAP00_AUTHORITY'. With this BAdI you can
whitelist certain documents by adding them to 'T_APPRAISAL_ID'. If you
set 'NO_STANDARD_CHECK', these documents pass the authorization check
and can be displayed.

Completed appraisal documents in MSS

Hi all,
I'm using ESS/MSS package on EP v7 and ECC6.
I'd like to know if it's possible to display completed appraisal documents in MSS (so documents' appraisers).
I'm just able to display them in ESS using documents_received page.

*The status depends how you have configured..
suppose if status '6' is completed,then
ls_sel_status-ap_status_1 = c_false.
ls_sel_status-ap_status_2 = c_false.
ls_sel_status-ap_status_3 = c_false.
ls_sel_status-ap_status_4 = c_false.
ls_sel_status-ap_status_5 = c_false.
ls_sel_status-ap_status_6 = c_true.
thne retrive only the completed documents from the fn module,
call function 'HRHAP_DOCUMENT_GET_LIST_XXL'

   My question is about custom badi implementation in Performance management for appraisal document Targets defaulting...

At the creation of the personal appraisal, the column containing the performance targets of the employee is pre filled with the targets defined in the previous appraisal cycle and contained in the previous year employee appraisal form or in the target settings document.

Hi Chris,
This component must be deployed in Portal because have a lot of services which need ESS in order to work properly. According with note 1408243 you must add those business components in your iView and only are available in that component. Once you deploy this component you do not need to assign any special role to users. The business object component is in Content Administration --> Portal Content --> Business Object --> ERP Common Parts --> Human Resources --> Employee.

Appraisal Documents (WD UI) open the same page in the pop up browser.

Hi Expert,
    I am using the business package for Appraisal Documents. I got some problem on navigate to the new browser.
   When the user click on a link in 'Appraisal Documents (WD UI)' in should open a new pop up for Appraisal Document(HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT), but It open Appraisal Documents (WD UI) again in the new pop up browser.
   I am not sure whether i did it correct or not. Below is the step that i did.
- Copy Appraisal Documents (WD UI) page and Appraisal Document'(HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT) to the folder.
- Change system alias for pages.
- Add Appraisal Document (WD UI) operation of Employee Business object to Appraisal Documents (WD UI) page.
- Assign them to the role.
Could you please suggest. If you have a document about using the page from business package please provide me

we kindly recommend you to re-check note 1600380 paying attention to
point 1.2 which deals with the relevant configuration to ESS for
flexible process.
please notice per default role delivery two services two roles for
Performance Management will be displayed. Both services are named
Appraisal documents. The difference is that one service is for the
Predefined Management Process employee access, the other one for the
configurable/flexible Performance Management employee access. The ESS
business package is set up in a way that all services/iviews are in
default role delivery available and customer can choose which one to
leave in (This is different to MSS where there is an standard role
delivery and a hidden iview delivery. There the customer can choose
whether or not to remove existing iviews in standard role delivery or if
the ones which are hidden shall be made visible in the role).

Appraisal Document : POWL Setting

Hi Expert,
We have used POWL to Display Appraisal Document for Employee /Manager.But Employee/Manager go in repective tab all the columns are visible which are not relevant to EMP/Manager Like Plan Version,Appraisal Doc Id,offline Status.
I just want to do Default setting of Powl Column which is visible to all the user wheather he is Employee or Manager?
Please provide ne some solution. ?

The code enhancement is done in the respective POWL feeder class interface-Method GET_FIELD_CATALOG. You have to define the column to hide as a technical column (e.g.ls_fieldcat-technical_col = 'X' ). To avoid modifications use the enhancement framework to add source code in a POST-Method-Implementation for method GET_FIELD_CATALOG.This is a relatively easy change and would take approximately 15 minutes if you know the name of the column and feeder class.

Multiple Appraisal Documents via Status Overview Portal iView

Good evening experts,
We have encountered an issue on our system using both custom BSP and standard SAP Delivered BSP for Performance Management (HAP_DOCUMENT).
Logon via Manager self service, then select the link to maintain performance documents to open the Status Overview iView (you can view all directly subordinate employees and links to appraisal documents).
If you select to open two, three, four appraisal documents from the list and have them open simultaneously, we are having an issue for when the manager selects "save" on one of the documents, the header data will all of a sudden display the same appraisee name across all of the open documents. The data becomes corrupt, and data does not properly save.
Have any of you encountered this issue before when you have multiple appraisal documents open at the same time?

Access to appraisal document via ESS is restricted by status

Our requirement is for the appraisee to record their objectives (via ESS) and then select a 'To Manager' pushbutton to send a workflow to the manager requesting them to approve the objectives. The problem is that once the workflow has gone to the manager the appraisee cannot access the appraisal document until the manager has approved the objectives and the appraisal status has changed from 'In Planning' to 'In Process'. How can the appraiser view the appraisal document (via ESS) whilst it has the status In Planning?
We also have a similar issue later in the process. When the appraisee selects the <Close Part Appraisal> pushbutton to signify that they have completed their self appraisal the appraisal document has status In Process. The appraisee cannot access the appraisal (via ESS) until the appraiser also completes their part appraisal and sets the status to Completed. Is there a setting to allow the appraisee to have read access to the document during this part of the process?

Hi again Maurice.
Once the appraisal status has been set to 'Completed' the appraisee needs to Accept or Reject the appraisal but the appraisal now appears as display only (both in ESS and ECC). We are using BSP documents_received.htm for ESS
The 'Accept' and 'Reject' pushbuttons are not active in ESS
The 'Accept' and 'Reject' pushbuttons are active in ECC and update the appraisal status as required. However if the appraisal is rejected and the status is set back to 'In Process' the appraisal document is still display only.
Any ideas?

Appraisal Document not opening in Edit Mode

Hi Experts,
We have implemented PMS in our EP 7.02 SP6 and BP for ESS/MSS is 1.41 version. When I am launching the Appraisal Document from Appraisal Documents (WD UI) template is getting loaded in display mode with different tabs. In none of the tab I can enter the data. Appraisal Document status is Inplanning. This is also throwing a warning message "Missing configuration for phase in current status/substatus of appraisal document".
I have all the notes for OBN navigation.
SAP Note 1272076 - Update of BP for ESS in ECC600/EhP4 for appraisal navigation
SAP Note 1463821 - Performance Management Portal Configuration
SAP Note 1416756 - OBN Configuration in Performance Management
Can any one throw some light whether any configuration left from portal end or from R/3 end.

You are able to open appraisal document. This means either priority/object you choose in OBN is wrong to pick wrong document
Does the document you see have content you configured in template?
OR
OBN is good but your appraisal template has issues.
Check your template configuration in PHAP_CATALOG.

Restricting appraisee from viewing Appraisal Document

Hi All,
We have an appraisal model where the appraisal document flows as below with respective doc. statuses
HR Admin (In preparation) --> Appraisee ( In Planning) --> Appraiser (In Process) --> Approver (In process/sent for approval)
When the 'Approver' approves, the document goes to 'Complete' status..
flow is working fine but the document is available to appraisee in change mode till the end (i.e. till it moves to complete status).
We have a requirement that it should not be available to the appraisee (not even in display mode) once it moves to In-Process status (i.e when it goes to Appraiser)
Please advice how to restrict it..
Note: Appraisal process is taking place in portal (ESS/MSS)

Go to SPRO - Personnel Management - Personnel Development - Appraisal Systems - Edit Appraisals Catalog
Select your template and go to column- column access
Check there Phase dependent access for owner
also check for column access in different phases for owners and others. There you have option to hide also in different phases.
Check with this. If this resolves your problem then award with points.

How to trigger follow up processing actions in appraisal documents?

Hi gurus,
We are customizing the performance management process using Objective Settings and Appraisals (ECC 6.0; Enh.Pack 4, ESS/MSS with business pack 1.41) and we have customized the evaluation templates (transaction PHAP_CATALOG_PA) with the enhancement "Follow-Up Proc. (Background) - Adjust Qualific. (Start Date)" in Follow-up Processing section of the Processing tab, at template level (VA object).
The system functions is ok, and the cualification appears in the employee profile (transaction PPPM) correctly after the performance management especialist trigger it using the admin report (transaction PHAP_ADMIN_PA).
My question is: Is there anyway to automatically trigger the follow-up processing after the appraisal document is finished? Do we need to develop in ABAP a new implementation of some BADI?

That's not what happens for our (custom) appraisal: follow-up process(es) are not started when the status becomes "completed", neither from the backend nor the portal. We always have to manually launch the follow-up process from the phap_admin transaction, and select the ones we want to be done.
In phap_catalog, we have a couple of follow-up processes that are selected in the "Processing" tab.
when the approval process is activated (infty 5025) and or status 6,7,8,9 are selected then the follow up process only takes place after status change to close approved.
Even when setting the status to "closed approved", no follow-up process is started.
Any suggestion? Isn't there a setting somewhere that should be set in order for the follow-up prpcesses to be automatically started when the status is set to "completed"?
