Hi,
I have installed oracle application R12.1.1. and upgraded to R12.1.3. Now i want to apply HRMS Legislative Data Patch. I referred the document 145837.1.
In step -1 Ensure you have the following infrastructure pre-reqs installed and you are a FULL Legislative HRMS customer
· Oracle HR (PER) product installation status: Full
· Release 12.1.3 or later
What it is mean ?
License E-Business Suite:Add-ons page i am seeing
Self-service Human Resources
Advanced Benefits
Compensation Workbench
iRecruitment
Payroll
Performance Management
Time & Labor
HR Intelligence
Succession Planning
Already selected. Do i need to change any thing here ?
And i want to install legislation for Singapore. Which patch i have to apply the pre requisites before applying the hrglobal.drv.
And also i am using external tier for (iReqruitment). So do I need to apply this HRMS Legislative Data Patch and prerequisites in both tiers ?
Please any one could advise on my queries ?

If these modules are selected, then you are good. Nothing else needs to be done (assuming you are licensed to use all of these modules).
And i want to install legislation for Singapore. Which patch i have to apply the pre requisites before applying the hrglobal.drv.
Depends on what your current HR patch level is - run the script in MOS Doc 453632.1 to determine this. Choose the column for your patch level in the table and check the key beneath the table for any patches you may need to apply.
And also i am using external tier for (iReqruitment). So do I need to apply this HRMS Legislative Data Patch and prerequisites in both tiers ?

Possible to do data patching of Ship-to address in DO?

Dear Experts,
Is it possible to do data patching of ship-to address in DO, after DO has been PGI?
The Ship-to Addresses in multiple DOs for 1 single order were all over-written by the last DO ship-to address.

At least the OSS note will take care of future such issues.
For this issue your options are pretty limited. But here is what you can do.
1. Check in ADRC table the different address numbers maintained for this ship-to. Ideally if you have changed it only once, then there would be 2 different address numbers. One for before the change and the other after the change.
2. So after the ship-to address was changed, the WE partner function address numbers in the VBUP table that is the ship-to party address numbers in delivery were all changed to the new number.
3. To rectify this you would have to get the old address number, in the address number field of VBUP table (VBUP-ADRNR)
4. Since you cannot change the address in the deliveries now as GI has been done and invoicing has been done, the only way is to change the table entries for such affected deliveries as suggested above.
It is too much of a pain if you are only doing this to keep a sanity of data.

How to define Legislative Data group in HCM Extract?

HI All,
Can you please share the steps to define Legislative data group in HCM Extract ? During creation of HCM extract, I didn't find any option to define the Legislative data group , so my HCM Extract is created without having the Legislative data group and for that reason, I am not able to use extract rule Fast Formula (under a Legislative data group) in HCM Extract.
Any suggestion would be helpful to me.

Hi Sharmistha,
Once the extract is created there is no ability to add the LDG. A workaround i to export the extract and import it back inot9 the application - the import screen has LDG field.

Year to Date Patch Report

Anyone using SCCM 2007 has a software update report that shows total patches installed for period of time? We are looking for a report that we can show the number of updates deployed by SCCM during a one year period. Any ideas or help is highly appreciated.

There is no easy way to do this, as a SU might be re-released or expired and therefore the data would be lost. Ultimately my question to you is what are you planning to do with the information?
Why does it matter? Would it be more important to show how complaint you are?

How to extract HRM master data from R/3 into LDIF file?

Recently I have been asked to provide an extract from our R/3 system
with some Human Resource master data. The extract has to be in the LDIF
format (LDAP data interchange format). It is needed to import into a
DirX metahub solution from Siemens.
How can this be done most easily?
(does SAP provide tools, can XI do this?) or do we have to write a
customized abap to do this?

Hi Satish,
As per SAP Standard also the best way is to delete whole data from the cube and then load the data from set up tables as you have enhanced the data source.
After data source enhancement it is supported to load normally because you don't get any historical data for that field.
Best way is to take down time from the users, normally we do in weekends/non-business hours.
Then fill the set-up tables; if the data is of huge volume you can adopt parallel mechanism like:
1. Load set-up tables by yearly basis as a background job.
2. Load set-up tables by yearly basis with posting periods from jan 1st to 31st dec of any year basis as a background job.
This can make your self easier and faster for load of set-up tables. After filling up set-up tables. You can unlock all users as there is no worries of postings.
Then after you can load all the data into BI first into PSA and then into Cube.

J2sdk1_3_1_07 not running on up-to-date patched Solaris 8

I have installed all public Solaris 8 patches as well as all public J2SE patches for 1.4.1_02 (should make stable for 1.3.1_07) and the bin/java program won't launch on my machine. The 1.4.1_02 bin/java will launch.

if I execute ./bin/java -version it just hangs. If I truss the process, I can see it is just in a state of polling. Then I ctrl+z and bg, then %% to foreground it and it finishes executing by printing out the version information and exiting gracefully.

Error in Exporting HRMS people data to excel using WEB EDI.

Hi ,
I am using an existing integrator to export people data to excel using WEB ADI.
When the excel opens it first shows the it is trying to download data, but later shows an error message saying that an error has occurred in the script on this page

When I click the "Upload" button on GL Journal WebADI, The following error message is displayed:

I think this error is similar as your previous discussion, and I tried the solution as you mentioned, but not worked. If there is any new solution for the errors of this kind?

Nothing would stop you from running DataInstall and hrglobal after each upgrade and it can be done, however this would add more downtime to your upgrade window, and running it only once after you complete 12.1.3 upgrade would be sufficient.

i want to learn about hrms module implementation in oracle ebs 11.5.10.2.i came to know that patching in differennt during hrms module implementation in oracle ebusiness
suite.How does it differ from normal patching.please provide me the steps.
Also i dont have much knowledge about the hrms global and other terms which are used in oracle hrms implemetation.

the ebs version is 11.5.10.2 with 10.2.0.4 database inetgrated.

patchset is available for R12 not for 11.5.10.2.so wai should i do?Check the 11i HR_PF.K RUPX patchset level you are on, and apply the patches under this column for the countries you have.
patch 3140000 was Implicitly Superseded by 11.5.10.2. Also per review and decision by management after releasing 11.5.10.2
Note: The most recent replacement for this patch is 3480000. If you are downloading patchset 3140000 because it is a prerequisite for another patch or patchset,
you should verify whether or not 3480000 is suitable as a substitute prerequisite before downloading it.
From the above note wat does the term superseded means.so which patch should i apply in my env?i get confused with term superseded.Superseded means the patch is replaced by another patch, so you can either apply the original patch (not recommended) or apply the latest patch (recommended).

Patch Installation Error

The Patch that i installed was ..
Oracle HRMS Legislative Data Patch Available (HR Global / hrglobal)
Apply $PER_TOP/patch/115/driver/hrglobal.drv to the database tier.
The error that occured during the installation was ..
ATTENTION: All workers either have failed or are waiting:
FAILED: file hrformul.ldt on worker 1.
ATTENTION: Please fix the above failed worker(s) so the manager can continue.
When i checked the log file the same error was shown there.
How can i rectify this .
Please help me out.

I couldn't see either R12.1.1 (or) R12.HR_PF.B.1 and i could see only the later versions (R12.1.2,R12.1.3,R12.HR_PF.B.delta2,R12.HR_PF.B.delta3,R12.HR_PF.B.delta4,R12.HR_PF.B.delta5)
so do this mean i don't need to apply any Pre-Req patches for my current release/HRMS level and I can proceed with Data Install and apply hrgobal.drv?

yes, you are right. this is because R12.1.1 comes with the installation. And you can not apply any pre-req before installing R12.1.1
All the patches listed in the table for pre-req are for the RUP patches which you will apply later. For example before applying RUP3 for HR you will apply 12757980 as a pre-req for Singapore.

Strange XMLP implementation on HRMS Compensation Workbench

We are looking to create reports off the Compensation Workbench (CWB). As it follows from the viewlet found in the Metalink Note 311702.1, XMLP is implemented for the CWB in some pretty strange fashion not described anywhere in the XMLP documentation.
User is shown to create an rtf template. The tags' names, however, are not related to any XML file, but can be picked as the user likes. Upon uploading the template, the user is presented a screen on which he has to match his tags with the available data fields. Something resembling the process with PDF templates, but it is not.
The underlying XML file is created somehow behind the screen, and only for a single employee, so we can not create any reports, say, with the list of employees. So the questions:
What is this XMLP impementation?
Where is that XML file to which the tags are referred?
How can we change the file?
If not, is there other ways to run reports from the CWB?

EBS 11i HRMS Upgrade

Dear Team,
I would like to here your expert suggestion/opinion on Upgrade 11i HRMS to Release 12 existing instance. following are the brief on existing environment and scenario:
One of our client already running Two isolated Releases of Oracle Application which include Release 12 (Financial,SCM) modules and Release 11i (HRMS,self-service,irecruitment) modules, now they wanted to upgrade their Release 11i HRMS instance into Release 12 and then consolidate into single instance.
I need your expert opinion on the database consolidation phase. What is the workaround should I adopt to achieve this sort of up-gradation?
I really appreciate your high level steps if possible.
