Adobe Comp app output to Muse ?

Hey, there's this new app kid in mobile town, called Adobe Comp ! Did you already give it a try ?
It's brilliant, it has this brand new idea of a "toolbox" – your finger ! Just draw and there it is !
But when it comes to the output, all this mobile ingenuity doesn't handoff to Adobe Muse...

I'm constantly paranoid that I am going to accidentally delete a project, and when it's gone, it's gone. When you Send To Indesign/Illustrator, a copy is made on your computer's hard drive that illustrator/inDesign etc can open, although you can't send any of those back to the iPad, so as an emergency you could in someway recover work from there (on a mac they're stored in /Users/XXXXXXX/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/PushToDesktop). As a result I have so many files that are nearly the same, but that I can't archive just in case. A recycle bin on assets.adobe.com would be a very welcome addition. Any chance of making a that a feature Adobe?

Form Output to web app?

Trying to wrap my designer brain around the web app functionality of business catalyst so I have a couple questions. 1) I have a form called Become a Dealer. I want companies that wish to become a dealer of a product to fill out a web form. I then need the web form data to automatically feed a web app. Is this possible? 2) How do I have a web app output data to an XML file and a formatted block? Example: dealer fills out form: form data is collected: dealer is approved: dealer data auto populates to See a List of Our Dealers page. Thanks.

To become a dealer you can have the users fill out the Customer Submitted Web App Form.
(There is a way to do this so the users do not have to be signed in, I'm trying to find the tutorial for that, but with all the adobe moving around it is lost to me. I will link when I find it.)
Then you can set the user submitted web app items to need approval, attached to a workflow. And when approved the dealer is added to the list of dealers on your Dealers Page.
Hope that makes sense. Until I can find that documentation on submitting a web app without needing to sign in, you will have to get your dealers to sign up for a secure zone so they can submit a web app item. This is the only way I know how to do something like this. And I don't think there is a way to output all the web app data in an XML file. I may be wrong on that one, but pretty sure.

Apps' content in Chinese despite correct region set

Hi Guys!
Let me start off by saying this is my first post and I've just set up an account with sole intention to seek advice. I really hardly ever register onto online boards where I have not contributed previously and start up threads that junk it up. I believe it's rude and that people should google extensively prior to starting posts asking for help. I did, however, google, and a lot, and I have not found possible cause of my problem/way to solve it and not even a single case like it O_o.
So I think asking others might be my only chance. Especially since I know VERY LITTLE about Apple products and I've had an Iphone for like a month. So maybe there's just something really simple I'm missing.
Here's the thing:
iphone 4s, iOS 7 (have not upgraded to 8 and would rather not for now)
problem : free apps from App Store I download, have widgets in Chinese! >_< . The store displays them as it should, in English. The apps descriptions are normal too. The Chinese only shows AFTER downloading and running them. Store region is set to Poland (that's where I live), prices are displayed in Euros -as they're ment to be, some apps display properly after buying but others do not (example: Puffin browser, Amazon app, Documents 5 pdf reader)
I tried removing and downloading these apps again, shutting my phone on and off, logging in and out off App Store, double-chacked there's no Asian country set anywhere as locale, to no avail - problem remains >_<;
This issue started at a very particular moment:
when I started messing with the regions option
By "messing", I just mean that I had to 'pretend' to be a US citizen(temporarily changing address and phone details) to access US App Store instead of my default, Polish one. I needed an HSBC bank app and it was not released for Polish Store (ridiculous!), so I changed to US Store, downloaded the app and changed back to my regional store. HSBC does not display in my "purchased" apps list, as if it's not recognizable ( since bought/downloaded from different store level), but the app widget is still there and it works just fine. (no Chinese lettering in the app itself, just it settings).
Since then, I'm having this language problem on random apps I obtain. Have I messed something up by changing to US store that one time? Or is Apple just punishing me for tricking them in order to download that HSBC from a foreign country's AppStore?
Either way, it's so troublesome! I need acess to these apps, but I can't read a word they say >_<
They're useless and there's no way to change language settings for them anywhere.
Do I go back with my phone to the store and cry or just try setting up a new AppleID and logging on from it? (I really would rather stick with current one )
I'm also thinking about getting rid of that HSBC app from the US Store, since it seems to be the cause of the glitch, but it is my bank and I kinda need it >_< Would be sweet if I could keep the "smuggled in" app and fix that bug.
ps. Amazon app actually displays English content, but welcoming screen is for Amazon.cn (China) and some options are in Chinese as well >_<

XML Output from Concurrent Request DBMS_XMLGEN

I am trying to create xml output for a concurrent request, using the DBMS_XMLGEN package to generate my XML?
I have gotten so far as to be able to run my procedure and see the output in TOAD using dbms_output.put_line, but I can't seem to quite get the right link to convert this to Oracle Apps output.
I have a concurrent request setup to output XML.
This calls my procedure to return to the output file.
So far, when I run from APPS, all that shows in the Output file is 'XML document must have a top level element.'

That was painful, but it helped!
Most of it is workflow code...POXMLGEN contains the pertinent coding.
I think my problem now lies with some of my data. Depending on what is returned, I sometimes receive a warning with no output. I know there are special characters in the data (ex eacute), but I can't tell if that is what is causing the issue. I do have the statement dbms_xmlgen.setConvertSpecialChars(ctx, TRUE); in my code, so not sure what else to do.
This is what is being returned in OPP log...
Caused by: oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XMLParseException: Start of root element expected.

Oracle Express and Displaying Better Error Output?

I recently installed Oracle Express 10g and I would like to make the DBMS app output better error codes (in this case, I guess the DBMS is "Application Express 2.1?"). Is there any way, for example, to output more precise error codes that will help me pinpoint where exactly a given problem arises?
A perfect example:
I just tried to run the following query against the database:
INSERT INTO ct_employee (ename, deptno, sal, mgr, job, hiredate, comm)
VALUES('Debbie Howe', 20, 30000, 122, 'Clerk', 17-Dec-80, '');
After clicking "Run", the following error message was displayed:
ORA-00984: column not allowed here
As you can see, there's no "arrows" pointing to where a given value might have been nosedived, nothing indicating where a column might be getting ignored or even anything explaining which value in general... Nothing. Only some obscure error code proceeded by Kafkaesque common sense (ironic).
So again, if anyone has an idea regarding how to somehow enable better error messages or the like, I would really appreciate it.

I wasn't using SQL*Plus...
What I was trying to do here out of all this was install Oracle to my actual computer so that I could start practicing SQL on my own without having to log into any development or production environments.
I installed SQL Express (completely free after registering to the Oracle website and logging into it with your provided e-mail address) for my main SQL / PL/SQL processing engine and after I did this, I then began using the "Application Express" to practice my SQL. Well, it turned out that it wasn't really doing what I needed it to (i.e. - various commands wouldn't output what I expected or multi-commands wouldn't work, etc.)
This made me eventually realize that what I had on my localhost, in terms of database, would suffice, but in terms of DBMS (in layman's, you're editor for SQL code, if you will) would not work. This led me to download SQL*Plus. The rest is history!
Steps to creating a basic localhost:
1.) Download Oracle Express (prepare for a big download). Install. If you get any error messages, chances are they're the same ones I had during installation. I never paid much heed to them and to this day, experience no problems. Just click through them...
2.) Download and install SQL*Plus. Again, expect a hefty download. The good thing about this, though, is that you only need to extract the main file and run the EXE in it. There's no installation involved.
3.) If you're using localhost for your database stuff, set everything up in your EXE first-run by entering the following:
Connection Name: "localhost"
Username: <username>
Password: <password>
(You can choose to save your password, too.)
I think everything else is already set, but in the event that it isn't, your hostname will be "localhost" and your port number will be "1521" (in most cases--this might be different in some office or work setting. In such an event, get with your systems geek.) Lastly, your SID will probably be "xe" and after you set all this up, you should press "Connect".
Then you're golden. :.)

Command Line Output Directory

I am trying to generate my help files through the commanline utitlity via a bat file.
Here is my bat file...

When I run this, it successfully generates the output files, but it does not generate it in the "c:\userName\Desktop\RoboHelpOutput" directory. Instead, it uses the directory I pointed it at when I generate the output through the RoboHelp UI. I need to figure out why this is ignoring the -o Destination tag in order to be able to work locally and have the help files generated with our automated builds.

Hi - we are having the same issue. Regardless of what we specify as the output folder, the help file always generates the output on the drive we previously specified in the SSL file.

We tried to eleminate the X: to see where the file will generate to. This is the path that showed up on the first wizard screen when I went to generate in RH a few minutes later:

Calling a report from forms - FRM-40735 when-button-pressed raised unhandle

I created a form to generate a pdf report.
its not going too well, so i need some help.
my form only has one button , when pressed I want it to generate a report in pdf format.

I also create a web service proxy jar file,
the jar file is in the FORMS_BUILDER_CLASSPATH, and the jar file is imported from forms builder without any issues.
As of now I am hard coding everything in the code below to see if it works.

HDMI audio works only with pavucontrol

I am having a weird problem with my HDMI audio output.
I can have sound only if I use pavucontrol to switch the per app output to HDMI. If I make HDMI as my default device, it would not work anymore until I delete .config/pulse and restart gdm. I must also make sure that before I close BOTH the app and pavucontrol, the per app output is switched back to my PCI-E sound card too.
I tried not to use pulseaudio to select the device, but use mplayer or jack directly (in GNOME or without gdm disabled, which means pulseaudio is not started), HDMI audio does not work at all too.
I am using a Radeon Evergreen with open source driver. Can anyone tell which part does the bug belong to, or if this is a setting issue?

I am trying to install CCB2.2.0 on AIX5.3. Following are the details:

After installing the Framework..we are getting the error. We are yet to install teh CCB.

Video Out and iPod

If you have one of those 30pin to RCA stereo & composite video cables. Will the iPod app output a video image of the current song album art, or will the app only do video out for actually watching videos?
I've got an interface I was going to install that makes me be able to control my iPod playback on my iPhone using my car's native stereo controls (it is done using the CD Changer port on the cars stereo). But my car also has RCA input jacks for composite video and audio. I love the MotionX GPS app and think it would be cool to see the GPS screen on my iPhone on my car's screen. So I was thinking of just using the RCA jacks combined with an RF or bluetooth remote control. But if I can't see any song information via the composite video out, then forget it.

i believe the video out would only work when playing videos and nothing else. this is because it would be impossible to control the iPhone from your car stereo unless they created a complete interface to work with the iPhone, and the only way to do that would be to get code from apple and i doubt that will ever happen...

Attaching a pdf document while sending email

Hi,
Can you help me to send a pdf as an attachment while sending mail.
Also plz tell me the required configuration changes that need to be done.

It is important that where is your file which you are trying to attach and how you are creating the File object out of it to pass it to the MimeMessageUtils.setContent(). As such there is no specific location to place the the file you just need to create its File object correctly. E.g. if your PDF is getting created through some other application and it is present in say C:\app\output\pdf or /usr/local/app/output/pdf then what you can do is set a Java system property (let's name the system property as file.attach.dir) through your server startup scripts with like -Dfile.attach.dir=C:\\app\\output\\pdf or -Dfile.attach.dir=/usr/local/app/output/pdf
And then in your code you can do something like:
File attachment = new File(System.getProperty("file.attach.dir") + File.separatorChar + "attachment.pdf");
MimeMessageUtils.setContent(message, content, attachment, false);
You may also place the attachment files in an ATG specific folder and access it using atg.nucleus.DynamoEnv. Say the file is within a directory called "attachments" in the ATG data directory which defaults to <ATG>\home in case of a non-standalone EAR so you can do
File attachment = new File(atg.nucleus.DynamoEnv.getDataDir().getPath() + File.separatorChar + "attachments" + File.separatorChar + "attachment.pdf");
MimeMessageUtils.setContent(message, content, attachment, false);
If you make and deploy the EAR on application server as standalone then you might already have the ATG data directory set to some location through system property -Datg.dynamo.data-dir in your server startup scripts. So if that is the case you may use this same property as mentioned above in the first approach.
You can always check the file path and whether it is getting properly resolved by using Java File APIs like file.getPath() and file.exists() where file is the File object that you created. Make sure that file.exists() returns you true and you will not encounter FileNotFound Exception.

Jar file in web-inf\lib is not being loaded - weblogic 7.0

I am callling a webservice from a jsp. everything works fine if I keep the interface
classes under web-inf\classes....but If I put the interface classes in a jar file
and put it under web-inf\lib, then weblogic does not seem to find that....
