HSRP For the Gateway Redundancy.
Hi all
i just need a simple how to configure 2 Routers(R1;R2) to run HSRP For the Gateway Redundancy ,if one of the 2 routers Fail.should i connect the 2 routers 2gather via cross cable.than one straight cable to the 2 separate distribution switch.(2 Etherchanel configured between Dist switch)PS LIST ur optimum Configuration
Ur help very much Appreciated
Hi,
i think you talking about campus network where you have two distribution two access and two core router's.
With that prospects.
My suggesion will be to have etherchannel between distribution switches and both the distribution switch should be connected to both the core router.
than use HSRP in distribution swithes.
configuration and diagram is given below.
do let us know if you want any more information.
interface FastEthernet2
ip address 172.69.90.1 255.255.255.0
standby priority 200
standby preempt
standby ip 172.69.90.6
interface FastEthernet3
ip address 172.69.91.1 255.255.255.0
standby priority 200
standby preempt
standby ip 172.69.91.6
like the above configuration you can configure second switch also you can apply on vlan interface too.

When they ask for the gateway numbers on the TV, what number is that or what should I be looking for? I am trying to connect my wifi network on my Samsung smart TV.
The "Gateway" address would be the Private (LAN-side) IP address of your Internet router. If you are using an AirPort base station for that router, the default gateway IP address would be: 10.0.1.1

Hello All,
I was woundering if anyone has successfully offloaded SSL encryption and decryption from the Gateway server under IPS3.0SP3HP3
We currently have alteon devices and Have had issues with the 302 URL redirects
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
GaryWe have tried this unsuccessfully. I don't think it is possible, because of the rewriter functionality in the gateway. If you configure the GW in SSL mode ir runs in over HTTPS and includes the https://... string on all rewrites. Conversely, if you try to off-load the SSL work you would configure the gateway in HTTP mode, in which case all rewrites would be to http://... and would therefore never hit your Alteon.
You can take advantage of 'in-the-box' SSL accelerators however.

Setting a E4200 as primary router for Uverse (Making the Gateway a modem)
So we just received Uverse a week ago, and we switched from Comcast. For Comcast, it was simple enough if you wanted to change routers, as the modem was separate when provided by Comcast. As a result, I really do not have a lot of knowledge with AT&T's configuration of hardware.
So my goal for today was to turn the Uverse provided 3801HGV Gateway into a simple modem, and set up a Linksys E4200 as the primary router. I assume that this is the best setup speed and bandwidth wise for high bandwidth applications like gaming and streaming (Compared to having the Gateway allocate IP addressing and firewalls).
So my steps were as followed:
Dynamic IP - DHCP is already enabled for the gateway.
1) Hooked up laptop to Gateway through ethernet cable, and turn off wireless interface (transmission) here:http://192.168.1.254/xslt?PAGE=C_2_1.
2) Disconnected ethernet cable from computer and gateway.
3) Connected ethernet cable from a LAN port on the gateway to the broadband WLAN main port on the router. Hooked up another ethernet cable from a LAN port on the router to my laptop.
4) Installed and configured router through provided CD (DHCP was enabled by default) (Firmware is latest)
5) Accessed the gateways settings through computer, went to "firewall, pinholes, dmz" setting (http://192.168.1.254/xslt?PAGE=C_3_1), and changed the router's specific firewall access to DMZplus.
6) Reset Router.
After I did all of these steps, the internet worked like a charm. I didn't test speed or play any online games to check latency, but browsing seemed normal.
However, after browsing the routers settings for a bit, I noticed NAT was enabled. I turned this off, seeing that in my previous Comcast setup it was just an inconvenience for gaming (xbox).
The result of this after a reboot was complete loss of internet from LAN and WLAN (but I could still access router and gateway settings (just because of the ethernet cable I assume)). Chrome gave me DNS errors every time I tried a website. I renabled NAT and rebooted, and it still gave me DNS errors. I rebooted the router multiple times, and unplugged it, and it still would not connect to the internet. I later learned that DMZ or some other firewall setting in the gateway required NAT, so it seemed as though I messed up something indirectly, even after enabling NAT again.
I tried multiple factory resets of the router, and cleared the device list under diagnostics in the Gateway's settings. However, the gateway still showed the router under devices after the multiple device wipes for some reason (I disconnected the router from the gateway too). After I reset the router through the pinhoel button on the back, I tryed to install and configure the router again through the CD, but it got stuck at 90 percent and an error accuired. I tryed this multiple times. Now I can not even access the routers settings.
I don't know what to do at this point, other than ask AT&T and/or Linksys on what to do.
I spent hours trying to get this to work. Can anyone help me out?
What should I do from here? If I get this working again, what should be my router's and gateway's settings?Check out the second post in this forum. If you still have any issues with the gateway, you would be better off asking them, but feel free to ask us also . http://forums.att.com/t5/Residential-Gateway/U-verse-for-BUSINESS-2Wire-3600HGV-bridge-mode-or-anoth...
I don't work for Cisco. I'm just here to help. -
Using the Mac as a wireless Bridge for the Xbox 360
Want to use your Mac essentially as a wireless adapter for an Xbox 360 or any console? plug in the ethernet cable between the two devices and follow the setup process!
Wireless Bridge setup process
1. Open system Preferences.
2. Clisk sharing, then the internet tab and select Airport as the “share your connection from” then select the Built-in Ethernet in the list.
3. Open up the terminal Application and type ifconfig en0 in the window it sohuld display an outcome like this
ifconfig en0
en0: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
inet 192.168.2.1 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.2.255
ether 00:16:cb:cc:80:aa
media: autoselect status: inactive
supported media: autoselect 10baseT/UTP <half-duplex> 10baseT/UTP <full-duplex> 10baseT/UTP <full-duplex,hw-loopback> 10baseT/UTP <full-duplex,flow-control> 100baseTX <half-duplex> 100baseTX <full-duplex> 100baseTX <full-duplex,hw-loopback> 100baseTX <full-duplex,flow-control> 1000baseT <full-duplex> 1000baseT <full-duplex,hw-loopback> 1000baseT <full-duplex,flow-control> none
4. This gives you the information of what your computer’s IP address is. On the xbox dashboard in the network setup screen select manual and select the top section which contains the IP address, subnet mask, and Gateway address, for the IP address, input the Highlighted section above plus one, so its 192.168.2.1 (this is for standard configurations, again, just add one to the last digit of your IP address.
5. Open Airport Admin Utility, the select configure on your airport. Then select the Internet tab This will give you your subnet Mask, input accordingly.
6. For the Gateway address, you are going to put in the value in the blue box. This is because you are using your Computer as a gateway, therefor you need to tap into its connection.
So For the Average setup you will use:
IP Address: 192.168.2.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway Address: 192.168.2.1
7. Now for the DNS server, this varies according to What internet service you have, but, Airport admin utility provides the answer, right below the information we used above, you will see DNS Server. viola! Put that in as your primary DNS server in the second box of edit options in the network menu.
Now you should be complete, test the connection and you should be Ready to Go!! Happy Gaming!Welcome to the discussions, DanSwiggsD!
If you have a non-Apple device as your main router, unfortunately the AirPort Extreme has almost no chance of compatibility with your main router.
If you do have an Apple router as your main device, please post back with your model number and we'll let you know how your devices should be configured.
If you don't have an Apple device as your main router you have a few options to connect the xbox:
1) A pair of ethernet powerline adapters could be used if you did not want to run a regular ethernet cable from your main router to the xbox.
2) The new AirPort Express 802.11n model does have a feature called Proxy STA which should allow it to receive a wireless signal from any wireless router and allow the ethernet port to be enabled.

Error in "Checking Availabe Space for the DB2 UDB for Unix..." phase
Hello,
We are in the middle of an Upgrade proyect from R/3 4.6C (kernet 4.6D EXT) to ECC 6.0.
As a first step we are doing an Heterogenous System Copy to migrate from servers with HP-UX B11.11/Informix 9.4 to servers with AIX 5.3/DB2 UDB 8.
We already did the database import with no errors. When we are installing R3 4.6C in the target server we are getting u201CMemory Fault (coredump)u201D error in the u201CChecking Availabe Space for the DB2 UDB for Unix, Windows Tablespacesu201D phase.
Any advice will be appreciated.
Best Regards
FranciscoHello Paul,
There is no db2diag.log. We are in the first steps of the installation.

Images and Links are being rewritten by the Gateway. How do I turn it off?
I've tried going to the admin console to disable rewrite for the href attributes and src attributes for images, but it didn't work.
Does anybody know a good fix for this problem? There are a couple of options you can try
1.) In DNS domains and sub domains, remove your domain and sub domain from the list.
2.) there is an option to rewrite everything make sure you uncheck that option. The gateway needs to be restarted for any configuration changes you make for the gateway.

ISP BGP peering with HSRP for redundancy
we have a router7507, BGP peering to one ISP. Now, we need a router redundancy solution.
I want to use HSRP in the BGP peering interface, because the ISP only peering us a IP address, I have to use HSRP on two router interfaces, and use HSRP virtual IP to peer the ISP, do you think this solution is working, or some troubles, will BGP work fine with HSRP interfaces?
thanks.yes BGP works fine with HSRP interface. Here is some sample configurations for your reference.
Router A Configuration (ISP Router):
interface ethernet 0
ip address
standby 1 ip (The ip should be same as above command)
standby 1 priority 110
standby 1 track Serial0.100
standby 1 preempt
Router B Configuration (client Router):
interface ethernet 0
ip address
standby 1 ip (The ip should be same as ISPs address>
standby 1 priority 105
standby 1 track Serial0.100

Can we have multiple policies for the same gateway?
Hi all,
Is there a way in which we can have multiple policies for the default gateway?
When I try adding a new gateway (which is not mentioned in the installer.properties file) and have policies, there is a 404 error.
When I add another service to the same gateway, I get an error - that the service could not be added to default policy.
Help me please...
My need is as follows
Want to have multiple policies, so that each of the web-service can be attached to same. The relation needs to be one-to-many. One policy can have multiple web-services.
Thanks in advance...Its not possible for the same development object. Only 1 person can access an object at a time and if mutiple users modify an object new TASKs are created under the same TRANSPORT.
Only after releasing the tr you can create a new tr on the same object.

I have searched through the forums and there are a number of posts that are similar but all the checks they list seem to not apply to this one.
My current setup is as follows
All Servers are 2012 R2
1 x DC server
1 x RDS Gateway server with RDS Web installed
1 x Session Host Server
Certificate supplied by godaddy with 5 names. (included is the name of the RDS Gateway/Web server in the certificate, the internal name of the session host server is not included as the internal names are differnet to the external)
My tests are as follows
Navigating to the RDSWEB page from a machine inside the same network (windows 7 sp1) but not on the same domain is fine no errors and logging in and launching any published application is fine with no errors.
However logging in on another machine that is external from the network (windows 7 sp1) is ok up to the point of launching any of the published apps I get the error about ""A Revocation check could not be performed for the Certificate". this
prompts twice but does allow you to continue and login and use the app till the next time. If I view the certificate from the warning message all appears to be ok with all certs in the chain.
I have imported the root and intermediate certs to each of the gateway/rdsweb server and session host server into the computer cert store just to be on the safe side. This has not helped, I have also run the following command from both windows 7 machines
with no errors on either
certutil -f –urlfetch -verify c:\export.cer
I cant seem to see where this is failing and I am beginning to think there is something wrong with godaddy cert itself somehow.
If I skip rdsweb and just use MSTSC with the gateway server settings then I can login to any machine on the network with no errors so this is only related to launching published apps on the 2012 R2 RDWEB or session host servers.
Any help appreciatedHi,
1. Please make sure the client PCs have mstsc.exe (6.3.9600) installed.
2. If you are seeing a name mismatch error, you can set the published name via this cmdlet:
Change published FQDN for Server 2012 or 2012 R2 RDS Deployment
http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Change-published-FQDN-for-2a029b80
To be clear, the above cmdlet changes the name that shows up next to Remote computer on the prompt you see when launching a RemoteApp. You should have a DNS A record on your internal network pointing to the private ip address of your RDCB server.
Additionally, in RD Gateway Manager, Properties of your RD RAP, Network Resource tab, you should select Allow users to connect to any network resource or if you choose to use RD Gateway Managed group you will need to add all of the appropriate names to the
group.
For example, when launching a RemoteApp you would see something like Remote computer: rdcb.domain.com and Gateway server: gateway.domain.com . Both of these names need to be on your GoDaddy certificate.
Please verify the above and reply back so that we may assist you further if needed. It is possible you have an issue with the revocation check but I would like you to make sure that the above is in place first.
Thanks.

Thanks for the response.
To be clear I am only seeing a name mismatch and revocation error if I assign a self signed cert to the session host as advised earlier in the thread by "Dharmesh Solanki", if I remove this and assign the 3rd party certificate I then
just get the revocation error , I have already ran the powershell to change the FQDN's but this has not resolved the issue although the RDP connection details now match the external url for RDWEB when looking at one of the remoteapp files. The workspace
ID still shows an internal name though inside this same file.
RD Gateway is already set to connect any resource, when connecting using remote app both names (RDCB/RDGateway) show as being correct and are contained within the same UCC certificate. I also already have a DNS entry for the Connection broker pointing to
the internal ip.
Do you know if the I need the internal name of the session host servers contained within the same UCC certificate seeing as they are different fqdn's than what I am using for external access ? I resigned the UCC certificate and included the internal name
of the session host server to see if this would help but for some reason I am still seeing the revocation error. I will check on a windows 8 client pc this evening to see if this gets any further as the majority of the testing has been done on windows 7 sp1
client pc's

Master Gateway node for the domain is not available
Any hints in the catalina.out, exceptions.log, node.log or domain log files?
Hi All, We are using Informatica 9.5.1 and Oracle 11g as by metadata DB. Initially our INFA_DOMAIN_REPO password was expired, so we couldn't connect to repository. Then we reset the same password and we restarted infa services also. But when we tried to connect repository we faced "Failed to connect repository" error. When i try to connect to Admin Consol, page was not displayed. When we check the node.log file it had a error message saying "2014-07-20 04:45:37,553 ERROR [Monitor Guaranteed Message Logger Thread] [CCM_10322] While logging messages to the Log Service, the following error occurred: [[DOM_10022] The master gateway node for the domain is not available. Fix the errors written to the node.log file. com.informatica.isp.domainservice.exceptions.ISPMasterNotAvailableException: [DOM_10022] The master gateway node for the domain is not available. Electing another master gateway. Wait for the election of the master gateway node to complete. If the problem persists, verify that the master gateway node is running" We checked all the env variables and all looking fine.Node is also running. Please help to uderstand this issue ans the fix. Where do I get the Gateway SDK for developing custom Filters?
Hi,
Where do I get the gateway SDK for developing custom Filters?
Regards,
Earnest A ThomasHi,
There is not actual SDK to download, its in your installation already. The JavaDoc of all classes are in \doc.11122\javadoc in the ZipFile, http://download.oracle.com/docs/cds/E50612_01.zip (From page: Oracle Enterprise Gateway). There is an online documentation including a tutorial at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E39820_01/doc.11121/gateway_docs/content/general_filter.html
There should be some simple pre-made filters with source code somewhere but I think you might need to contact support to get your hands on those as I can't find them.
Cheers,

What is the gateway address for the extreme (N)?
Here's my problem, I am going to switch from Direct TV to Fios TV and the REQUIRE that I use their router for the TV interface. They've tried to walk me through putting the Extreme behind their router but it hasn't worked. The though is that the gateway is in conflict but I can't figure out what it is. And, when I do get that information, any idea how to change it if it is in conflict?
Thanks guys for any help
Joe CortneyConfigure the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) to act as a bridge (NOT sharing a single IP address).
Then connect the AEBS's WAN port to one of the FiOS router's LAN ports.
That's it. -
Hello , I think the below event alert 4113 is very common and is due to that only one database copy is present in DAG but is there any way we can stop this alert for the
specific database.
The message tells that there is only one copy of the database - create another copy and the warning message will go away but
we do not want to create another copy. So is there any way we can stop this event getting generated.

ThanksThat regex looks odd to me. I assume you have databases with names like "Mailbox Database <ten digit number>" (standard Exchange default name, in other words), "ABC-DB" and "HOME-DB". If this is the case, wouldn't
you want "(?:Mailbox Database \d{10}$|^ABC-DB$|^HOME-DB$)"? THis works if I run it from a prompt:
[PS] C:\Scripts>"Mailbox Database 0123456789" -match "(?:Mailbox Database \d{10}$|^ABC-DB$|^HOME-DB$)"
True
[PS] C:\Scripts>"Mailbox Database 123456789" -match "(?:Mailbox Database \d{10}$|^ABC-DB$|^HOME-DB$)"
False
[PS] C:\Scripts>"Mailbox Database 12345678910" -match "(?:Mailbox Database \d{10}$|^ABC-DB$|^HOME-DB$)"
False
[PS] C:\Scripts>"HOME-DB" -match "(?:Mailbox Database \d{10}$|^ABC-DB$|^HOME-DB$)"
True
[PS] C:\Scripts>"ABC-DB" -match "(?:Mailbox Database \d{10}$|^ABC-DB$|^HOME-DB$)"
True
[PS] C:\Scripts>"ABCD-DB" -match "(?:Mailbox Database \d{10}$|^ABC-DB$|^HOME-DB$)"
False
[PS] C:\Scripts>"HOM-DB" -match "(?:Mailbox Database \d{10}$|^ABC-DB$|^HOME-DB$)"
False
I find it's easiest to test RegEx's from the prompt this way. If the above isn't your goal, let us know, and we'll see if we can come up with something better. -
Number of VXML sessions for the Ingress and VXML Gateway
Hi All;
Referring to the SRND for CVP version 8 (cvp8srnd.pdf) section 7-7, 7-8 and 7-9:
My question is: if I am using AS5350XM and it is connected to the E1 lines, and at the same time I will use it as VXML Browser (VoiceXML Gateway), so the voice calls via the E1s will be calculated as separated sessions than the VXML sessions?
Note: I am talking about the case of using the AS5350XM as Voice Gateway and VoiceXML (Ingress Gateway + VXML Browser).
Regards
BilalDear Ganen;
Thanks alot for the help.
By referring to the same document and same sections, and from your experience if you can help:
If the CVP script contains Intensive Java script and using a web service, can I use the AS5350XM as ingress gateway connected to 3 E1s and at the same time to have 110 VXML sessions? Or it will not be possible because already the 3 E1s are effecting?
Regards
Bilal
