GarageBand '11 works very well with Mt. Lion, at least for me.

So i got my iphone 6 and the music works fine with the bluetooth on my lexus until i plug it in to the USB charger. Then you can't hear the music. When i have it unplugged the music plays fine through the speakers.
When i get in the car, if the audio is set on bluetooth the music will start playing automatically without me doing anything even if i don't have the music (itunes) running.Hi . My Apple desktop computer, 2.4 GHz Intel duo core, OS 10.6.8, stopped recognizing the WD My Book connected via firewire. It works fine with the USB port so it's not the drive. Help please?
It can be the bridge. It could need firmware update. or the FW ports may be an issue. LaCie seemed to invent the phrase/tip 'resetting firewire ports' due to the issues with their drive cases.
You can try an SMC Reset.
So far I have avoided name-brand and tend to see them mentioned. Often with a new OS (though you are on 10.6.8, but when 10.6 came out there was a common complaint and thread of users: FW or USB worked but not the other interface). -
I recently installed an Airport Extreme 802.11N that I bought in May 2013. It replaced an Airport Extreme 802.11N that I bought in July 2007. My USB printer (Lexmark E350d) worked fine with the old Airport, but I'm having trouble with the new one. When I try to print, I get a USB Waiting message on the printer, and when I force a page to print by pressing Go on the printer, I get a page that says ERROR: syntaxerror OFFENDING COMMAND: true. . . .cvt . . . fpgm . . . x . . .lglyf . . . <..J head . . . STACK: / [ -mark- /sfnts I’ve tried shutting down the printer and disconnecting it and the Airport, but that doesn’t help. I reset the settings on the printer. I upgraded the Airport firmware and removed, reinstalled, and upgraded the Lexmark printer driver. After I upgraded the firmware and printer driver, a few pages printed correctly, but then I got the same syntax error page as before. Any suggestions for getting the printer to work correctly?
Use a powered USB hub between the AE and the printer.. the usb port does sometimes have issues.
Try deleting the printer in the Mac and reinstall it.. the change in AE can represent effectively a change of printer.. it is important to make sure that is all up to date.
Beyond that.. USB printers.. ughhh! Consider for two toners you can go and buy a proper network printer. -

The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
For 10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

I am buying a new macbookpro which comes with Lion. Lion has Quicktime X. Logic Studio comes with Quicktime Pro 7. Do I have to download Quicktime 7, or will Logic Studio work fine with the Quicktime X player? Will there be a Quicktime Pro X soon?
your new lion-machine should have quicktime 7, too. if it doesn't, and if it doesn't show up after you migrated your stuff from you old machine you can always reinstall it from the logic dvd's, it's part of logic. my recommendation is to always use quicktime 7, since it's got many features that are absent in quicktime x. quicktime x is nothing but a polished video player. in quicktime 7 (pro, comes with logic) you can even do edits and paste your music onto video files. i use it all the time, especially since logic 64bit doesn't export to video anymore.

Built-in to OS X is the ability to capture an entire screen or selected portions. Snaps are saved to the Desktop by default:
COMMAND-SPACE-3 snaps the entire screen.
COMMAND-SPACE-4 lets you select a portion of the screen to snap.
In your Utilities folder is a utility called Grab that provides similar functionality and more.
Then there are dozens of third-party solutions such as SnapNDrag and SnapzProX. You will find them and others at MacUpdate or CNET Downloads. Most have trial versions or trial times so you can test them out. -

It's a Quicken file & I was able to open same. Not used often & the copy in my documents wouldn't open, but it did in the Quicken app that's friendly with Mountain Lion. Learned something new today!

My apple extreme wireless network is working fine with two Macs but ios devices (iPhone & iPad) will not connect. I can see the network and it's telling me I'm connected but Safari says I'm not connected to the internet. Everything was working until the ISP went down. Any suggestions?
Thank you, I've tried the support tips (resetting the network, checking security settings, etc.) and rebooting the network devices several times to no avail. I've actually been working on this for several days (when I can afford to have the network down).
What I have to determine is what has changed in the setup...from when it WAS working just fine with all devices. -
The flash features on the Battlefield 3 site - battlelog.battlefield.com do not work when Firefox updates itself to 15.0.1 It does not load the pages correctly or does it let you select/ click on anything in the flash parts. When I uninstalled 15.0.1 and reinstalled Firefox 14.0.1 I unchecked the option to let firefox re-upgrade itself and battlelog works fine.
I do not wish you to break Firefox on Battelfield 3, but have you tried using the latest version of Flash Player. You should also remember that using outdated versions of Firefox increases security risks to your computer and personal data.
You may get an answer to this sort of question faster by asking on a forum related to that game site, (and if you do please post back with the solution preferably with a link).
Possibly you could consider using Firefox 15 and later as the day to day browser, and Firefox 14 only for the problem games.
*The simplest way to do that may be to install Firefox portable (I assume that will run a Firefox 14 version)
* A better way would be to install multiple versions of Firefox. That is often considered advanced, but I imagine most experienced computer users could do it easily (I can provide links to instructions). That has the advantage that the problem could be looked at a bit more closely, possibly even filing a bug if it appears to be a Firefox regression causing the problem.
