HT1006 why when hit the record button I lose the song on my music track for a second or so then the sound returns. I would like to be able to record on the fly while still hearing my accompanyment
guys am new to garageband. I am trying drag a non vocal track into my project, open another vocal track and and record my voice with a mic via my interface. When i hit play I hear the non vocal track, but when I hit record everything stops for a second including the non vocal track and then continue playing, and recording. why cant I record on the fly like other programs. what am I doing wrong. Help is greatly appreciated
GB doesn't offer "punch-in" recording. But you can easily set an earlier recording point, so you can listen to as much as you want from the audio track, and later cut your recorded snippet to the desired length.

I'm trying to record 3 vocal tracks at once now.And yes,what i can do is,enable 3 of them by hit on the 'R' and will be the RED blink after hited!
But i realize that it posible to do as below situation, when come to single track (when i recording guitar track),select/highlight the track i want to record and hit the '*' it'll auto enable the recording 'R' button and start record now!!

hope to hear from you guys then...i tried this method before...Not Work at all...When you highlight the tracks you want in Mixer...it do highlighting...But in the Arrange Window it Don't!!
But the idea of GROUPING from " ambient8 " really work...haaa...i just done it!!!

Is it possible to record parts of a phone call on Skype into Logic, then play back the audio while still on the Skype call? I'm a voice teacher coaching students in other cities, and Skype can't offer any suggestions.

What I'm saying is:
Make a new MONO audio track (use the + button). Assign it to input 1
Make a second new MONO track, assign it to input 2
Name both tracks, record-enable both tracks, and record.
You could, of course, make both tracks in one go via the new track dialog box, and hav ethem automatically assigned to ascending inputs.

I try to add the paging to the open source Alfresco content management. We need to process a large dataset (e.g. > 50K files) so after we gather a list of data files we display them with the checkbox and each checkbox has default checked status.
If the value="#{FixItemList.selectedItems} is omitted in the <h:selectManyCheckbox> then the paging is fine when hitting the NEXT page or Submit button. If we set the value in the selectManyCheckbox then it returns null for selectedItems.
Would please point out what I have done wrong? Appreciate for all yours helps.

why when i want to download a free app from app store it asks for my apple id and when i give my apple id it then says "this apple id has not yet been used in the itunes store". i dont even know what that means and it will this happen everytime?

Is there a way to stop the OS from switching to a newly opened app? I would like to be able to continue what I'm doing while I wait for an app to launch and not get interrupted by a forced entry into the app.
As an example, I'm going to my email in safari, while I wait for it to load, I open an excel document, and the OS decides excel should be the front app, so I go back to safari so I can enter my login info, but halfway through my password the OS decides that excel is where I should finish typing my password.

I really enjoy the helpful videos when finding an Adobe Acrobat answer but I would like to be able to print the content of the video so that I can refer to it for help whenever I want without having to find the helpful training video all over again and have to watch it all over it again so can this be done and if so how?? - thanks
Thanks and yes, of course I could bookmark them but then I would have go continually go back and look at them all over again when I needed them which is not much of a time saver.
I guess I will have to do what the reply suggested and that is make screen shots and a combined PDF file from the screen shots in order to get exactly what I want. However, I feel this kind of defeats the real purpose of real "Help" in some way. Why not offer a print option on these video tips as I know there must be others who would often prefer a hard copy for referral as opposed to having to go to a bookmarked video again, just seems like a waste of time when you are in a hurry which is often the case. -
Why when updating the software on my iPad 2 ( as I was encouraged on iTunes) it wiped out my calendar and contacts list. All is gone that I spent hours putting them in the iPad.
I am new with the iPad. I opened iTunes hooked the cable up to sync and it asked me if I wanted to update the software. Not knowing any better I said yes. So when it was done, well all my information was gone, wiped out. So do I have to enter the information all over again. This never happened with my windows based computers. Help please.

HELP! I subscribed to imatch on my mac so that I could access the songs anywhere with my iphone. However since I live in a rural community I would like to make playlists that always stay on my phone in case I don't have service. Not sure how.
I have the same issue. While I am sure your solution would work, my playlist has over 6,000 songs and hiting every song to download it is not very practical. Is there another way?

I have a macbook that I bought second hand. The mac has a dual boot system with bootcamp on one side and snow leopard on the other. I would like to be able to hook to a larger hdmi monitor so that in both systems I could see better since on the leopard side the computer has PS4. I have purchased the dvi to HDMI accessory and purchased the HDMI to DVI cable, and can see fine on the bootcamp side, but nothing on the leopard side. Could somebody help me with configuring things so that it will see both side?
Also on a minor note, I need to purchase a new battery for this item and don't know which one to purchase. Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially with the display/monitor issue.

It would help to know which one of the 9 different models of MacBook you have. To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here.

I have an unusual challenge. I have a disk that was created in a very old copy of Appleworks (Apple IIgs). It contains database information that I would like to move to Access. I still have my Apple IIgs, old Appleworks disk and amazingly enough, it
