HT1040 In iPhoto I created a book I wanted to purchase. When I did so and entered my billing information, it would not let me enter my full area code or phone number. It would not let me enter the last two digits of my area code or my phone number. Help p

Apple switched the last two digits of my number when replacing my iphone.
My iPhone had problems charging, so I took it to the Apple Store to have it checked out. It wound up being replaced, but later on in the day I found the last 2 digits of my phone number have been flipped.
Should I contact Sprint, or take it back to the Apple Store?
Is there another fix I can try? Sprint still lists me at my old number.The phone number should be hard-coded into the SIM card. Try powering off your phone, resetting the SIM card, and powering back on.

I upgraded operating systems and now I can't find my photos in iPhoto. There are only random photos, but I can't find all the other albums I had. Where are they?
Silly question first... when "deleting duplicates", did you delete the picturs or music folders? :}
Are the "Previous system" folders still there? Are the photos/music inside the recent Previous folder?
Have you tried doing a search for the files?
Do you have a new account set up, that you are now signed in to, rather than your old account? -

Delete the last two seconds of every track on a CD.... Can i automate?
Hi, I have a larger number of lectures on CD I would like to turn into Audiobooks. My problem consists of a 2 second gap (exact) at the end of each "track" (~ 10 tracks per CD -- each CD ~ 1 hr) even when I play it on my stereo. When watching the timescale after importing a CD "unjoined" I hear the stop of the person's speech (sometime in mid-sentence) with 2 seconds to go before the end of every track. I've even imported the CDs as WAV files, opened them in Audacity, and noticed a "flat line" at the end of every file.
(Just trying to convey that each track actually has a 2 sec portion of silence inserted at its end, and after importing them 10+ different ways (both "joined" and "unjoined" in itunes) I can't seem to get rid of it.)
I know I could open every file in Audacity, delete the last two seconds, and then copy/paste all the tracks together and export... but I have around 500 tracks total so I was wondering if someone knew how I could automate the process. I have QuickTime Pro, Garage Band 4, Audacity, and/or Automator at my disposal so if anyone has some advice/experience I'd appreciate it. Thanks.Have you tried simply changing your burn settings? I am trying to create a form where one the customer has input their name and phone number it should grab the first letter of the customer's name and then the last 4 digits of the phone number.
I am not very good at coding, and have VERY VERY limited background in coding. I understand a little (the basics pretty much).
I am thinking i am not using the right expression to get what i want. Below is the statement I have write. This is just to find the first letter of the name, have an idea on how to get the phone number but i was trying the use the "left" and "right" functions but they wouldn't work. More specifically the left.

Apple Pay: The last 4 digits of my device account number is not showing up on my phone.
My credit card company needs the last 4 digits of my device account number, and only ***** (stars) show up under my divice account number. I have 8.1 installed, and have tried restarting my phone. Any suggestions on how to get my divice account number to show?

My credit card is obviously activated, as I was just able to use Apple Pay with it at a store (where they didn't ask for any DAN code). When I view the card in Passbook, it says nothing about whether it's been activated, one way or the other, but obviously the card is working for Apple Pay.
But I just did find the DAN, way, way down at the very bottom of the Info page, below the whole list of recent transactions.
Nowhere in any documentation I've seen does it indicate that this would be at the very bottom and one has to scroll so far down. Does seem like an unfriendly place to put it, -
I purchased an audiobook on the itunes web site and downloaded it to my computer. Three of the five sections of the audiobook transferred to my iphone with no problem. The last two sections of the books will not transfer. I keep getting a message that reads, Two items will not synch with your iphone. Contact itunes for more information.

I usually have iCloud backup but I got a notification that my phone has not backed up for the last two weeks, and It wont let me do it manually.There is also still enough storage space. Why did it all of a sudden stop backing up?
The HT1766 article you attached lists the prerequisites for an iCloud backup:
iCloud automatically backs up the most important data on your device using iOS 5 or later. After you have enabled Backup on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in Settings > iCloud > Backup & Storage, it will run on a daily basis as long as your device is:
Connected to the Internet over Wi-Fi
Connected to a power source
Screen locked
You can also back up manually whenever your device is connected to the Internet over Wi-Fi by choosing Back Up Now from Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup. -

Simple and fast solution: restore from your back up.
Other than that:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

After iPhoto quit unexpectedly, the last 5 months of photos disappeared from my library. Please help! I can't find them anywhere.
You're using iPhoto 6?
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 6* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption. -

One alternate option will be noting the value before you start the experiment using following statement.
select value from v$sysstat where name = 'user calls';
And running this SQL after you are done with making calls. Then you can subtract the two values to get the users calls made between the two times. Keep in mind that this will include all calls made to the database.

How can I retrieve photos when it says my cloud and iTunes backups are empty or not backed up?
When I tried to update my iPhone 5s to iOS 8.1, I was forced to choose to restore or back up. Back up wasn't working so I had no choice but to restore. I lost pictures over the last two years. When I tried my cloud, there was nothing. I would get notifications that my cloud was full, but I thought there would at least be some photos in there. When I tried to restore a back up, it said the last time was two years ago. I thought when you're on wifi, it automatically backs up. I've charged my iPhone into my Macbook a bunch of times, so something should have backed up. Is there any hope for my photos?Sorry no backup - no pictures.
Yes phone will automatically backup to icloud when on wifi and phone is charge, but your phone storage was full so it stop backing up.
