Only, you cannot buy it from the AppStore. Try to buy a boxed retail version from Amazon or similar.
This will install an early version of Aperture, Aperture 3.1.x or Aperture 3.0. You can update it from the Support page, using the link above to Aperture 3.4.5.
But it would be more economical to upgrade your Lion to Mavericks and to buy Aperture from the AppStore, if it is feasable for you.

The iPhone requires wi-fi to update if you try to update over the air, since the phone needs to reboot, thus disconnecting itself. You can update via iTunes and the computer, but you would not be able to tether to the phone for the internet connection, since the phone would disconnect. So, you can either update via wi-fi and the phone, or you can update with a computer that has an internet connection other than the phone.

recently updated to firefox 5.0 .. after doing so, Java is missing. I've tried to download Java and when doing so, still does not work. I use a Mac, I also use Safari.. (when in Safari) I have no issues.
I am no unable to access my work intranet. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall Firefox, NO LUCK. I've uninstalled Java and reinstalled.. I opened a family iCloud sharing account recently, at first I was able to share photos but now all I can do is receive photos and comments. I currently have the iPhone 6 updated to the current version. Is there something wrong with my phon? I restarted it as well as checked all of my connections the wifi is fine, but all I can do is recieive photos and comments. What could possibly be wrong?
1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now? -
ITunes "Check for Updates" says 7.3.1 is the most current version

We all know 7.3.2 is out. But when I go to "iTunes--->Check for Updates" in iTunes, it says 7.3.1 is the most current version. What gives?

I need to find the most current version of QuickTime that will run on SP1. It is a work laptop and our IS department is reluctant to install SP2 on our systems, but I need to have QuickTime for an upcoming presentation that I am supporting. So any suggestions?

If you don't have iPhoto 11 already then you'll need to purchase an iLife 11 install disk, install the app and then update it.
You may be able to purchase an iLife 11 disk on ebay or amazon. -
How can I open a CS4 file in the current version of Illustrator?
I am collaborating with a friend on a project. He has CS4 and can't/won't upgrade.
I was able to send him a file I created in the current version of Illustrator, and he was able to open it (I don't know how successfully, but it opened).
He then saved it with a new name.ai and sent it back to me. When I open it, Illustrator thinks it's a photoshop file. It's able to open it ok, but it's rasterized, and is lacking a lot of details. So, even when I use Image Trace to get the pieces back, little shapes, like the tongue in an animal's mouth, are missing. And all of the individual pieces that make the Illustrator file so easy to tweak are lacking.
Is there a trick to making this work, on my side or on his? I already tried searching via google and didn't find anything that looked helpful.
Last resort may be to get him to just install the 30 day trial of the current version so we can get this project done.
Thanks for any ideas!Having his install the trial is the way to go. Working between AI versions is a pain and as you are finding out almost impossible with 5 versions between the collaborators.

The US Food and Drug Administration uses an authoring browser-based system for creating SPL files called XForms. According to the FDA, the only version of Firefox which is compatible is version 2.0.0.13. The current version of Firefox 3 does not work with the plugin (Mozilla XForms 0.8.5 Add-on).
No need to use the unsupported and insecure Firefox 2, you can use XForms version 0.8.7 with Firefox 3.6, available from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/mozilla-xforms/

How can I update a Numbers '08 document to work with the current version?
I've had Numbers '08 for quite awhile (obviously). Have a few spreadsheets in it that I tried as an alternative to Excel. I've now got the most current version of Numbers but it won't open the spreadsheets created in the '08 version. I get an error message telling me to save them with Numbers '09, which I do not have.
Is there any way to get these updated to work with the current version? If so, that would be great, would like to try it out. If not, I'm just going to copy this stuff into Excel and be done with Numbers entirely.This is a work-around - but also send feedback to apple that that is pretty low in the 21st century where people may keep data without opening it for a very long time - then need it desperately.

Export the spreadsheets to another format - CSV may work - then import into the new version.

<Email Edited By Host>If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 7.1.2. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.
You can no longer update to iOS 6.x, or down grade the iOS.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

How to Upgrade to iOS 7
The iOS 7.0 update requires around 2.5 GB of storage space, so if your iPad is almost full, you may need to clear up some space. You can check your available space in Settings -> General -> Usage.
There are two ways to upgrade to iOS 7: You can use your Wi-Fi connection, or you can connect your iPad to your PC and update through iTunes. We'll go over each method.
To upgrade using Wi-Fi:
Note: If your iPad's battery is under 50%, you will want to plug it into your charger while performing the update.
Go into the iPad's Settings.
Locate and tap "General" from the menu on the left.
The second option from the top is "Software Update". Tap this to move into the update settings.
Tap "Download and Install". This will start the upgrade, which will take several minutes and will reboot your iPad during the process. If the Download and Install button is grayed out, trying clearing up some space. The space required by the update is mostly temporary, so you should gain most of it back after iOS 7 is installed.
Once the update is installed, you may have to run through the initial steps of setting up your iPad again. This is to account for new features and settings.
To upgrade using iTunes:
First, connect your iPad to your PC or Mac using the cable provided when you purchased your device. This will allow iTunes to communicate with your iPad.
You will also need the latest version of iTunes. Don't worry, you will be prompted to download the latest version when you launch iTunes. Once it installs, you may be asked to setup iCloud by logging into your iTunes account. If you have a Mac, you may be prompted on whether or not you want to enable the Find my Mac feature.
Now you are ready to begin the process:
If you upgraded iTunes earlier, go ahead and launch it. (For many, it will launch automatically when you plug in your iPad.)
Once iTunes is launched, it should automatically detect that a new version of the operating system exists and prompt you to upgrade to it. Choose Cancel. Before updating, you will want to manually sync your iPad to make sure everything is up to date.
After canceling the dialog box, iTunes should automatically sync with your iPad.
If iTunes doesn't automatically sync, you can manually do it by selecting your iPad within iTunes, clicking on the File menu and choosing Sync iPad from the list.
After your iPad has been synced to iTunes, select your iPad within iTunes. You can find it on the left side menu under Devices.
From the iPad screen, click on the Update button.
After verifying that you want to update your iPad, the process will begin. It takes a few minutes to update the operating system during which time your iPad may reboot a few times.
After updating, you may be asked a few questions when your device finally boots back up. This is to account for new settings and features.

Went to the local Apple Store today and purchased Aperture.. when I got home I looked at the box and noticed they gave me ver 1.1 in the box. I thought the current 1.5 was universal binary? This 1.1 version is NOT correct? I want to run it on my new Mac Pro. Should I take this back and ask for 1.5 boxed? or is there no such thing and one must download the upgrade on the web?
thanks in advanceWhen I bought it at the Apple Store after V1.5 was out, all they had was V1.1 in the box (but this was shorly after 1.5 came out). I just downloaded the updates (although they are very large). All the V1.5 manuals are PDFs (and included in the download). There was a quick start type manual in the box, but I use the PDF version anyway because it is easily searchable.
I guess I could have ordered it online since the Apple Store did not have the current version, but I didn't want to wait.
