HT1119 BATTERY IS DISPLAYING (NOT CHARGING) -What to do if your Mac Book Pro 13" even if it is on the power source adapter. I have dim all the lights and other energy saver as instructed. Any advice please .
Hi- My Macbook pro 13" is not charging and displaying the ( not charging ) sign evenif it is in the power source & adapter. Have tried all the dim all display lights and close unsed applications ( except not too sure about the close running applications)

Does the light come on in the power connector that connects to the Mac? If not then it is not getting any power. That light is either Green or Amber. Green for fully (and or Almost Fully) charged and Amber when the system is charging the battery. No light means the AC adapter is either not getting any power from the Wall Outlet or the AC adapter or the Mac is broken. In either of the last 2, broken AC adapter or broken Mac, you can replace the AC adapter yourself but if it's the Mac then only Apple can fix that.
Not much troubleshooting to do. You either don't have power to the AC adapter or the AC adapter is broken or the Mac is broken. It is one of those 3 things.

I had the same after updating fronm 10.7.1 to 10.7.2 tonight. Not even a re-install of the OS X 10.7 and Combo update to 10.7.2 helped. I think this time Apple messed up big time with the 10.7.2 update and some Mac Books (my case: MacBook 15" Mid 2009 = MacBookPro5,3)

My 3G unlocked iPhone is not syncing mail or contacts from my mac book pro, using Lion. I am able to get a calendars and music, only. I get the message that I need to reset the password which I have done 3x's on the phone and on the Apple server.
Good to know that, but what can I do to get the mail and contacts downloaded from Icloud onto my Iphone? I am told that the password needs to be reset and I have erased and reset it 3x's already? Should I Restore All Settings or Restore Network Settings or will that result in a situation where I have to have it re-unlocked again? GRACIAS!

I have disabled all AddOns separately and it has made no difference.Any ideas?I found that the culprit was Adblockplus. Placing your device into recovery (DFU) mode:

2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds
until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
* If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the
Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,
release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some
charge, and then start with step 2 again.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button:

Mac Book Pro with OS X Mountain Lion will not recognize headset mic via Rosetta Stone software. What should I do?

I am using version 3. I have used the apple/settings on my mac. The headset is appearing there and it is selected there. In the Rosetta Stone select/find window nothing shows up. It is blank. But the volume bars react when I speak and sliding the fader has the expected effect of raising and lowering the input. There is just no device showing up as the selected input device in the Rosetta Stone software.
I have done everything my Mac instructions say to uninstall and reinstall the Rosetta Stone software properly.
I'm guessing the problem may be in the licensing. I installed it first on the old hard drive that crashed. Maybe that used the terms of the license and now installing it in the new hard drive violates the license somehow. So that's why it will not work properly. It allows me to open the lessons and asks me if I want to continue from where I left off. I click continue. Then it asks me if I want to register the software. I click the tab for already registered software and click continue. Then nothing happens. So again I click on the button that indicates I want to continue lessons from where I left off. The same process happens with it asking me if I want to register the software. And it will not proceed through a lesson. -
What does the HD storage "other" run on your mac book pro?
My mac book pro is approx 4 years old and has a 120 GB HD. It seems like the "other" section has increased dramatically (now 52 GB) in recent weeks and I am wondering if something is wrong. I have run disk utility and verify permissions and corrected any errors and this has not changed anything. I have 32 GB free space on the drive. Does that seem logical. I have also trashed a lot of pictures and documents and that hasn't changed anything significantly. Thanks for any guidance.
So from reading other entries, Time machine is doing local back ups and will stop doing that at 90% of the hard drive capacity. Guess this is something new with Lion, thought I had something that was gobbling up my HD space.
Here is what disk inventory X shows for my HD usage. Not sure why mail is taking up so much space. I delete all my crap and literally save no mail. -

ThanksA better question is What Printer AREN'T compatible. Older printers mostly. The thing to do is check with the manufacturer, their website, to see if the printer you want to buy has current OS X drivers and or check with Apple support page to list printer that Apple has drivers for.

You can sync voice memos with the primary iTunes library on your computer, then listen to

My iphone 4 will not sync my photo gallary to my Mac Book pro
My iphone 4 has never been able to sync my photos to my laptops. I tried to sync with my Mac Book Pro
but it has not worked. In the sync process I notice the comment " delete photos" as the the sync process progress. All other apps and content sync. Sometimes when I try to sync the Camera Roll on my iphone it will move up into my Albums header and be unaccessable and I will have to reboot my iphone to get to my Camera Roll back.Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are not involved with the iTunes sync process except for being included with your iPhone's backup, which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process.
When there are photos/videos in the Camera Roll, your iPhone is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera, which is not handled by iTunes.
If you use iPhoto on your Mac for importing photos/vidoes from any other digital camera and for photo storage and management on your Mac, you can use iPhoto for the import. If not, you can use the Image Capture application located in your Applications folder for the import. -
Battery suddenly displays "Not Charging"

Been reading through the forum trying to solve my issue, but after an SMC reset and a PRAM reset, I'm at a loss. The battery is at 6% currently, and no matter what I seem to do, won't charge. This is a new development on a Feb 2010 MBP, running Snow Leopard.
