I have two shared printers and I want to be able to select one printer when it is time to print without having to set a default EACH time. Can I just have a prompt or dialog box that will ask me which printer would you like to use??? The only options I can find are "default" and "Last printer used" which means I must go into the Print & Fax area and change the default EACH time I want to print??? Seems very low tech.....

In most cases you get this dialog box every time you print. It is called the print dialog and normally when you print, a print dialog appear showing the printer that is to be used. Which printer you see will be based on what you have set in Print & Fax as you mention. But regardless of what you have set there, you still have the option to change the printer via the print dialog.
If you are using an application that does not show the print dialog, like MS Word and that stupid "print one copy" print icon in the toolbar, then you can often change the action the print icon uses so that the print dialog appears.

Recently when I open a desktop folder and click on a folder within, then want to go back to the fullness of the original folder to open something else, I have to click on the original folder on my desktop. Major pain the butt. This has been a request from Apple users for many years. it's great you can now combine all emails into one, but some people want them kept separate and have separate icons on the main page. They could easily do this by having one "MAIL" account as white and another red. Or put MAIL 1 and MAIL 2. Or an actual label that the mail accounts are called on the ICONS!!

I currently have two email accounts setup. My iPhone main page Mailbox settings reads:

I wish there an efficient way to move back and forth while in the "Inbox" between accounts. Also, Why does one gmail account show as "Gmail" and another as the actually address?
The names are based on the names you gave the accounts when you set them up.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap the account you want to re-name. Go to the "Description" field and put in what ever you want.
Second, there is no way to quickly choose a bunch of emails to delete. I have to manually go into each one and move it to the Trash folder.
If you tap the edit button in the upper right while in mail, you can select multiple items to move, delete or mark (flag).
I don't want any of the condescending remarks, that I've read here and in other forums. I'm honestly looking for a solution, which I think you are too! One thing I realized is that iPhone users in these forums are really defensive and quick to say "that's how it is, live with it, if you don't like it go away" Um...the only thing that tells me is you are pretty bitter and have kept telling yourself that, to force yourself to like your device. I prefer to express my issues, and find solutions. There is ALWAYS a solution...
I think what you will find is that many people here, myself included, tend to get a bit short with people who start off with attacks or whining about how something has been asked for for years and should be easy, rant about things that have already been beaten to death multiple times in the forums, talk about how much better Android or BB are at something (really... if it's that much better, why did they buy an iPhone to begin with?), etc., or continue to ask questions that could easily be answered with a simple search, or even just by looking back at the last dozen posts to the forum, half of which probably asked the EXACT SAME question.
I don't think any of us go out of our way to be rude or uncivil. That said, attacking the people who are attempting to help you is much more likely to generate a response of 'if you don't like it, go away', than it is to generate something that will be truly helpful.

You can't delete an iCloud account. You can, however, sign out of that account and just stop using it. Then sign in to your second account on all devices account.

I have cropped a clip and now want to take other clips from the remaining footage. But the discarded footage which contains other desirable clips is not in Trash. So, where did it go so I can access it?

I don't know how it did it (because I cannot duplicate the results) but one time the finder found a folder on my main hard drive called/Volumes Under that folder are folders called the names of previous external hard drives with numbers following them. /Volumes does not appear on my Mac hard drive. Obviously it is hidden somewhere. But it has content. Most of the time, the file names in that content don't show up in a search, but obviously I have found the content and deleted one huge folder of stuff it has saved. When I found the folder, I immediately opened it, where I found this stuff. But unfortunately when it opened in the search window I went directly to the "drive" folder and had no back arrow, so I couldn't get back to the search that found the content and the mystery /Volumes folder. The finder information window does show /Volumes directly off of the main drive (its not in any other folder). Anybody know where this stuff is hidden or how to get to it.

Sorry I forgot to mention I was doing this on a PC with Vista (the heading was Windows so I didn't bother to mention this). Anyway by trial and error I found that you can click on the .msi files to install them. The files were downlads of updates to iTunes and iCloud Control Panel.

Now when I print using any of the printers the functionality PC i.e. Choice of paper and print quality settings. Is this all I get when using the Mac OS lion or should the functionality be on a par with Windows?

Depending on the application you are printing from, you may need to press the Show Details button in the print dialog to see all of the additional driver menus.
The image below is for the extended print dialog of TextEdit and for a Canon MP990 printer. The Show Details button is on the bottom of the print dialog and will change to Hide Details when selected. And with the menu changed to Quality & Media, you have paper options and print quality settings.

Here's the issue-I have two iTunes accounts, yet account #1 always comes up when I want to update my apps. This occurs even when account #2 is logged in and has been synced from desktop to iPad. Additionally,Account #2 is logged in on the iPad and yet account #1 prompt appears when updating. Interestingly account #2 functions normal for iTunes purchases but not apps purchases. Apps will ALWAYS be tied to the account from which they were purchased. You will always have to update the apps from the account from which they were purchased.

No you don;t have to pay for it twice. Simply install it on one machine. Then go to the other. Log into the App store there and it will be on your pruchases list. Install from there.
