HT1199 I have not been able to get Itunes to work on my computer since Christmas day. I click on the icon for itunes but nothing happens. I have tried to reinstall itunes to my computer but it gets locked up and won't finish. I am not sure what to do.

I can not get into itunes on my computer. I click on the icon but then nothing happens.

Is this problem with Windows 7 on a non-Apple machine, or with a Mac? Mac OS X 10.6 can't run on a non-Apple machine, but Windows can run on a Mac machine with virtualization.

If you are having WiFi problems it is necessary to isolate whether the problem is with your network or your iPad. Note: Do NOT consider your network to be blameless if some other devices can connect to it.
First, test your iPad on some other WiFi networks: a friends, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, etc.
If it works well there then the problem is probably with your network. Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds. If that does not help check for a firmware update for your router. If none exists which corrects the problem consider replacing the router.
If your iPad does not function well on other networks it possibly has a hardware problem. You could try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings to see if that corrects the problem. If not, contact Apple Support or visit an Apple store for evaluation. They can provide a replacement if your iPad is bad.
If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router and how you have it configured.

The app that does not want to update was it originally downlaoded with a different ID? If so use that ID and hte password you set for it to update the app

The icon for attachments in my email inbox have disappeared

When I look at my inbox (or any other folder), I can see the icon if I have responded to a message or forwarded a message, but not the icon that the message contained an attachment. That icon was very helpful; how can I get it back?

You can also use the 'Quick Filter Bar' to quickly only show messages with attachments in that folder.
Click on the paperclip icon. see second image below.
If the Quick filter Bar is not enabled - enable it.
either 'View' > 'Toolbars > Select 'Quick filter bar
or via 'menu icon' - see first image below.

Disappointed!! I've been using Firefox since the start. Had a few problems but nothing insurmountable until now!! I'm using Internet Explorer now as FF constantly crashes and won't open anything but my home page. Someone help.

When I close FF it closes the window but remains active. Can't even close the process in task manager and have to reboot PC.
This seems to have happened when FF upgraded to 6.0. since then I have uninstalled 6.0 and reverted to 4.0 in the hope that this will solve the problem but to no avail.
I'm now at the end of my tether and I'm no longer using FF. Don't want to use IE but I have no choice until this is resolved or decide which other browser will take FF's place. Anyone help?

You said pictures. Do you have them in iphoto, and then sync with iTunes? That should make them appear in your iPhone, check the Photos page in iTunes for the settings.
Space: when each photo is 5MB only, the 792 is already 4GB !

So, I just updated my Pages, and the upgrade came with a new icon! As you probably know, the icon shows some papers and a pen. Both orange. I feel quite snippy to say this, but the orange bugs me! I would love the old inkwell back. Is there any way I can change Pages' icon but keep the new patches and such?

iBooks can not be read on macs, only on iDevices.

HT1551 I've set up our Apple TV and we used it with no issues for a time but after the first month we have never been able to use it. Upon purchasing a movie it says that it is downloading the movie then shuts down.

I have had our media company to see what the problem is a few times but with no success. Anyone able to assist or direct me so that I can once again use my Apple TV?

I would grab a micro usb cable and restore in iTunes. Or you can take it in to a local Apple store/reseller.

After the last Firefox update, the icons for my bookmarks disappeared. I have a long list of bookmarks and found the identifying icons very useful. Where'd they go and how do I get them back??

I don't know how I could make this any more clear.... Where the icons used to be, there is now either nothing at all or a square shaped by dotted lines.

There is some information in there that should help you to resolve your issue. Luckily, it is a very easy fix.

Disable your firewall and antivirus
Launch iTunes
Disconnect the phone from the other end of the cable
Hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons until the screen goes black, then release the SLEEP button but contiune holding the HOME button
Connect the cable to the phone while still holding HOME
Wait for iTunes to recognize a phone in "recovery mode", then release HOME and your phone should restore.
