How do i can manage 1 itunes account, with 2 iPhones, me and my wife, she doesnt need my contacts, But we dont want to buy twice the apps?

Two Apple ID's for iCloud syncing if you want that on each device.
One Apple ID for apps and media, this can (and should) be the same Apple ID that one device uses for iCloud.

Hi everyone,
I am an iPhone user. I pay the bill for my iPhone and my wife's cell phone. I am getter her an iPhone but don't want here to have my contacts and calender on her phone. Am I right in assuming that she must have her own iTunes account and Calender to make it HER phone?
Has anyone else dealt with this kind of issue?

You can do this with the same iTunes account and computer login account on your Mac, but best to create an additional login account on your Mac for your wife.
This will give your wife her own Home folder directory for creating her contact information and calendar events only with the Address Book and iCal applications under her login account which will be synced with her iPhone.
She can also create and access her email account or accounts only with the Mail application under her computer login account. You can enable Fast User Switching on your Mac to make the process of switching between multiple computer login accounts a fast and easy process.
OS X was designed for multiple users - with the Home folder/directory and the data stored within kept separate and protected. Each user has a shared folder for sharing documents and other data between multiple login accounts.
She can transfer music from the iTunes library under your login account and the same for photos transfered from your computer to the iPhone, and sync contact information and calendar events only under her login account.

Connect the iOS device, select it from the left column under "devices" and just don't check those items in iTunes:
Un-check the appropriate boxes for Contacts, etc. You can set these individual preferences for each iPhone and iPod Touch.

I have 2 macbook pro and 1 imac.
i have 3 Apple TV at home.
As far as i know, i can sync 5 device to one itunes account.iPad, iPhone etc will not count to the account. Did the ATV will come to the same category?

however, ATV 2nd generation, lacking a hard drive like ATV 1st generation, does not sync with iTunes - you can only stream content to it.

That article applies, as far as I can tell, to all things called iPod X where X can be nano, touch, classic etc.
We don't have two iPhones in the family as yet but as I understand it each device can have separate settings for syncing calendars and contacts. For example my iPhone syncs these over the air with the Exchange server at work so if/when my wife gets an iPhone it would be easy to have hers sync to our computer
To make sure your apps don't inadvertently merge turn off Automatically sync new apps from the apps tab when you connect your device.
The Apple support document How to use multiple iPods with one computer suggests a number of ways for managing the media content. I use method two (Sync with selected playlists) with a slight twist. Rather than regular playlists I set the grouping field to indicate which users should receive which tracks and create smart playlists based on the content of this field.
e.g.
"Alice's Tracks" is "Grouping contains Alice" + "Kind contains audio"
"Bob's Videos" is "Grouping contains Bob" + "Kind does not contain audio"
Tracks that both Alice & Bob want on their iPods have the grouping set to "Alice/Bob"
etc.
I currently manage our family's five iDevices using this system, each getting a different selection to suit their tastes and the capacity of their device. An advantage of using the grouping field is that it is stored in file tags (for non-wav audio files anyway) so that it is relatively easy to recreate the playlists should the iTunes library get trashed and need rebuilding. Also useful if you move files about manually as playlist membership is preserved when you delete & re-import the tracks.

You can migrate a copy of the data to a new account, then delete the other person's data from each account. To do this, on the phone that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that you want to keep on the phone, save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll. If you have any synced notes that you want to keep on the phone, email these to yourself so you can create new notes in the new account.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account. You will create a new icloud email address with you turn Mail to On.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting your wife's data from your account, and vice versa).

Using multiple iPhone's on one iTunes account

Hello, im not sure if this has been asked, i had a quick look but couldnt get a 100% answer.
My wife and i have 2 iPhones using one iTunes account, both have been updated to iOS5. We both can use iCloud and all the new features of iOS5.
When both iPhone's were set up i sent an iMessage to one of my contacts, they recieved the message and replied, the reply came in and was recieved on both iPhones. I know you can turn off in settings on the iPhone that i do not want to recieve the reply to but in doing so i will turn off iMessage on that iPhone.
On my iPhone i set up iCloud with my default iTunes email, and my wifes set up a new @me account. This has over come the problem of using Find My Friends App, so now she can have her own account.
Now if her contacts do not have her @me email in thier contact for her, she will not be able to utilise iMessage from iPhone to iPhone. Then comes the issue with making purchases on her iPhone as she is logged in under her @me, but purchases must be made with my email account so i can also have the purchases. Now your prob saying just log into my account when making purchases, but if she does iCloud won't work due to the app was not purchased using the same email address.
All i want to be able to do is use 2 iPhones on one iTunes account, be able to have seperate Find My Friends set up, both be able to have each others purchases, both use iMessage to each other and friends, both use seperate iCloud accounts.
If i am doing something wrong please let me know, or if you know how to do it.
My other theory is, i have added a different @me account to my iTunes account, could i set her iPhone up using this account, seeing that this one is linked to my original acount?

The Apple account used for iCloud can be different than that used by the App Store. In other words, your wife can use her own iCloud account and use your Apple ID for the App Store and thus you can share apps. To change the App Store ID, go to Settings/Store and tap on the Apple ID. Then tap Sign out, then log back in using you Apple ID.

Okay. We have three Ipads in our house with only one Itunes account. When I go into imessaging and facetime on each of the devices, it wants to start switching my wife's cell phone and then the three emails associated with each Ipad to the contact information for all of the Ipads. As of this morning, only the imessaging and facetime are turned on my wife's iphone and ipad. My kids imessaging and facetime is turned off. Do you really have to have an itunes account for each device to make then work??? Any help would be very much appreciated.

There is only one solution. Each user must have their own separate user account. All of their respective data would be contained in their separate user accounts. This also means each will have a separate iTunes Library. If you all use the same third-party apps, then each will have to purchase their own copies under their own Apple IDs. Some data sharing is possible. See:

When you have multi iphones and multi ipads, is it really best to have separate itunes accounts. My husband and I really seems to be running into problems now that I have a new I pad and we have one itunes account.

I just purchased the New Ipad, my husband and I have 2 Iphones (4 & 4s) and he has the Ipad 2, we are "technically" challenged, that I will put out there right up front . We've had nothing but troubles with the imessaging, and messages stating that they have been delivered but not received. I am not sure if it's more confusing with us having this one Itunes account, if it's best for me to have my Itunes account and my husband having his own. The Itunes account is my husband's and for some reason, the imessager doesn't recognize "him" being registered, but it sees everyone else. It wasn't working last night, but this morning, it worked, but when I tried to send him a text from my iphone this morning, it said, delivered, but he never got it, the only way I could get it to work, was to turn off, imessaging. It's become very confusing and I am not sure why. I am thinking, I will remove my Iphone from his Itunes account, set up my own (as we have too much problem with this Icloud, his contacts, his music, etc). Any thoughts, suggest, help, would be greatly appreciated. Not sure what this problem is all the sudden with the imessager, we had no problem before I got my Ipad (which has not been synced with his Itunes yet as an additonal device) I am sure if there is a problem with how we have our contacts listed). You and your husband can share a store account and still have seperate iCloud accounts for your contacts, bookmarks and stuff like that. Click here for instructions to make an apple account without entering a credit card. Make sure you use a different email address for each apple account.
Set up your iPhone/iPad whatever using the new account for iCloud. Then go into settings/store and sign in with your purchasing account, you may need to sign out of the other account. To the best of my knowledge, your household is allowed to share purchased legally, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Once you each have your own devices set to your own accounts you can set them to backup to that account and it will keep all your contacts seperate.

Is it possible to sink a 3G iPhone my wife now has and my older 2G iPhone to the same computer laptop using one itunes account. I would like to be able to put different applications on each iPhone. I did lose some notes thinking I could delete from my wife's 3G and keep on my older 2G.

Under the Applications tab for the iPhone sync preferences with iTunes for each iPhone, choose selected Applications. Select the applications in the window below that you want installed on the connected iPhone followed by a sync.
You can do the same with Music by using an iTunes playlist or playlists. You can create a primary iTunes playlist for the music that you want on your iPhone, and your wife can create a primary iTunes playlist that she wants on her iPhone. You can create and transfer multiple playlists if you like.

Select the playlist or playlists in the window below that you want transferred to your iPhone followed by a sync. Your wife does the same with her iPhone. To remove a song from your iPhone, remove the song from the playlist in iTunes you have selected to be transferred to your iPhone followed by a sync, and your wife can do the same with the playlist in iTunes she has selected to be transferred to her iPhone followed by a sync.

If you haven't set up your own Apple ID already don't. I suggest you use the same apple ID as your wife's. The alternative is to do this http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1848. It's not efficient as you have to swap apple id's to update apps under both IDs. 20/20 being hindsight, I would have never created a 2nd apple ID for my wife.

iTunes Match is not sharable across Apple IDs. The best way to get the music on her iPad is to leave hers signed into her Apple ID on the iTunes Store and sync via USB.
