I have an old iTunes account and purchased movies, music, tv shows, etc.  How do I get purchases from my old account to my new account on a single device - iPad?

Can I use one itunes account for multiple users and multiple devices?

The iTunes EULA, as I understand it (I'm not an attorney )for Apps is basically that one person can use an App multiple devices, or multiple people can use an App one device..so one to many or many to one, but not many to many....

  • How to link two AD accounts to single user?

    Hi
Can you please help us on this.
We have two accounts for the same user (200017821) in AD with
    sAMAccountName= 200017821
    sAMAccountName= c2017821
our reconciliations automatically linking users with sAMAccountName= accountId
But skiping sAMAccountName ! =accountId and showing them as unmatched.
If we try to manually link the accounts then we don't know accountguid for the sAMAccountName= c2017821
If we try to checkoutview and checkinview or reprovision then existing account(resource info) getting affected and new account not getting added in idm.
    Thanks

While updating the second account through workflow set the view as follows

  • Admin and User Accounts for Single User

I am the only user of my iMac. According to the article I found below, I should create a User Account for myself and use that one for my daily work. Is this correct?
"Don't use the administration account for anything other than setting up the machine and applications or changing "permanent" settings (if you want to, say, change network settings as a normal user you'll be prompted for the admin password, and since you'll do configuration changes less and less often as time progresses, this isn't a problem)."

Aha! It would appear that this is exactly the sort of thing that using a non-admin account would normally protect you from.
..."yet all applications are available to me in Finder > Applications"...
That's good news. So I wonder where the "Applications" folder has been moved to... The folder that is opened when "Finder" is activated is something that can be changed through the "Finder" > "Preferences" menu under "General". I suspect that it is either "Home" or "Documents", so that when you refer to "Finder > Applications", the path is actually either "Macintosh HD" > "Users" > "Applications", or else "Macintosh HD" > "Users" > "Documents" > "Applications".
To put things back, it might be easier to temporarily remove any "Parental Controls" from your current account and check the "Allow user to administer this computer" check box.
Then rename the "Macintosh HD" > "Applications" folder (the one with only "iTunes") to something else, eg "Applications-temp". After that, open a second window and drag the folder you refer to as "Finder > Applications" to where it belongs in the "Macintosh HD" window.
Now check the versions of "iTunes.app" in the "Applications" and "Applications-temp" folder - one way to do this is to click on the iTunes icon once and change the "Finder" window to "Column View" ("View" > "As Columns", or use the keyboard shortcut ⌘3). The version number should be displayed in the "Preview" panel. Take the older version (lower version number), and throw it away. If necessary, drag the newer version into the "Macintosh HD" > "Applications" folder.
Now, open "Macintosh HD" > "Applications" > "Utilities" > "Disk Utility.app", select your hard drive, and click the "Repair Disk Permissions" button (not the "Repair Disk" button). This might take a few minutes.
Hopefully that will do it, and you can go back and make the account a non-admin again.
I should mention that with some third pary apps, if they were originally installed while the "Applications" folder had been moved, they may complain if their location is changed. It might be necessary to reinstall those, although it will likely depend on a case to case basis.

  • How can I update the apps. with the new iTune, that's really silly especially I have two iTune account for different countries

I used 2 iPhones and a iPad, 2 Apple ID for different countries so that I can download apps. from different country.  Its a pain and sometimes no possible to update the apps. on the ISO devices.  Apple really needs to fix this aspect.  Also the new iTunes is so difficult to use, please bring back the old one.

    When Itunes opens
    1) Click on drop dow list button top left under the player controls
    2) Select Apps
    3) At the bottom right there are two buttons, Check for updates and Get More Apps
An Alternative is when iTunes opens in the top menu Click on View, Show Sidebar. Then you will see your apps page as in itunes 10. Click on that option and as before you should have two buttons, Check for updates and Get More Apps.
NB this is all within Itunes NOT the iTunes Store

  • Sharing two iTunes Libraries for different user accounts on one Mac

How can I upload or share my wife's iTunes library? She is listed as a different end user on the same Mac as I use but we have different libraries. If I sync my iphone to her account, will it erase my existing applications and downloaded songs? Also, she only uses the iTouch. And yes, I have a mobile me account if that matters. • Help need help unlinking iTunes accounts for 2 users?

My wife and I bought two iPhones 3 yrs ago.. The accounts where seperate while dating or at purchase.
Her cousin (an IT Guru)  Managed I think to somehow link up our 2 iTunes together. Meaning we She had apps of mine on her phone and I have apps of hers on my phone and we had to know each other's passwords to update our phones. 3 years later we are finding out that you were getting updates from each other's iCloud accounts and screwing up settting etc.
how do I separate the two accounts thank you..

    Thanks for getting back..
    Ok, I'm cool w that..
New situation or on going is: I have lost everything I've purchased via ITunes and I cloud over the years.. My data usage is up to 250MB IN 20 mins. Everything being closed out. Double tapping the home button and deleting everything I have open. Set up email to manual use. 2 email address's.
Interesting part is I look at my bill and my wife's 4g data use is respectfully the same as mine. Makes me ask is there a way she could be cloning my 4s & see or get reports of all my usage reports.
Driving me crazy!!! & feel like I can't do anything on my 4s. I also feel as if I'm being redirecting on the Safari to. Could her tech friend setup along time ago figured out away to watch my accounts and everything we do? Just going crazy.

  • One itunes account for many phones

    Hello,
We are currently deploying iphones within our business and I need to know how best to install some apps on all phones.
As you need an itunes account to download apps (free ones) is there a way to have one account (for the business) and this allows us to install free apps to the phones before we give them to users.
We dont want to set up a personal itunes account for each user as they may have there own or may not want one at all.

You may want to consider the iPhone Configuration Utility for Windows. It's a program that allows you to setup the phone from your computer and you can wirelessly push apps and info to the phones from your computer at any time. You can also restrict things the phones can do (like watch YouTube or take videos) if you don't want your employees to have full access to the device.

  • HELP...want to merge two itunes accounts into one running several ipods

Hi, I need advise as I have two Itunes accounts for my family running on tow different laptops with win7 and with two iphones and two itouchs. I do I merge all this into one account that I can access from all devices and all computers?

Do you have a home network? You can set up itunes Home Sharing and transfer your purchases that way. You need to authorize each PC for the two different STORE accounts to transfer each account's purchases.
If you don't have a home network you'd have to use an external hard drive or USB stick.
Long story short, there's no automatic way to do it. You need to keep track of each account's purchases and what PC they are on, then move them to the PC that is missing those items.
There are some 3rd-party programs like Tune Ranger that say they will keep everything insync from one PC to the next, but they cost around $20 or $30.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.

  • HT1203 Can I share one iTunes account for my iPad and two I phones? If so, how can I get the purchased apps and music on all three devices? Do I need a home computer,

Can I share one iTunes account for my iPad and two I phones? If so, how can I get the purchased apps and music on all three devices? How do I sync all the devices to have the same music and apps?

You can set up an iCloud account on each one (the SAME iCloud account using the same AppleID on each) and then sync via iCloud.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5262\
However, an iCloud backup nor sync contains purchased content - that is available for redownload from the iTunes and App stores (so no need to waste iCloud space storing it for you).
So, for purchased content, you will have to download it on each device - just use the same AppleID and download each item on each device.
Without a computer to aid the sync'ing, downloading the purchased content on each device is the only way.
P.S  audiobooks cannot be re-downloaded once purchased (all other content can be), so without a computer to save, store and move the audiobook files around, you will only be able to put those on one device - the one you first purchase it on.

  • HT204053 I did not know my kids had set up an Itunes account for me with one user name and password.  then i got an i phone and set it up with a different email address and new password.  how can i get my accounts to merge so i can have all of my music on

Quote: "You cannot merge two or more Apple IDs into a single one. You can, however, use one Apple ID for iCloud services and another Apple ID for store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match). See “Using one Apple ID for iCloud and a different Apple ID for Store Purchases” above for details." See also Apple ID & iCloud FAQ: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4895?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
You can set up your iCloud account on your iOS device under: "Settings > iCloud" and a other account for store purchases under "Settings > iTunes & App Stores". Unfortunately merging accounts is not possible but you could transfer all of your music manually via iTunes from your Mac or PC.
