My wife and I own an iMac (April 2011) and just recently got iPhones. We share one iTunes account (mainly for our uploaded music from CD). Do we each need to have our own iTunes account? What about iCloud? We want to utilize the same Calendar/Contacts

No.
One of you create a new AppleID and one use the existing AppleID.
But you can still use the items in each iTunes library.
Create separate computer logins for each of you.
This will give you each your own data. Contacts, calendars, photos, etc. (and your own iTunes library). -
Hi
I am not using the account anymore for the ipad APL ITunes Store and will like you to have this account stopped immediately. This is causing me a lot everymonth on my parents credit card.
Please stop all payments to the Apple Itunes Store.
Thank You
KelsiYou are not writing Apple. This is a user to user forum and we can't stop anything for you.
Why is your iTunes account costing you anything? It only costs something when you buy apps, movies or music. Are you not capable of controlling your spending? -
I really need some help with this if anyone knows how please help me!
No. All iTunes purchases remain permanently tied to the account used to purchase them. You can however authorize your computer for multiple accounts and any Apple devices can hold protected content from up to five different accounts at any one time.
If you are trying to merge two separate iTunes libraries into one that is a different problem. Take the largest, add all the content from the smallest, then dedupe.

My wife and I have shared one iTunes account for 6 years. We want to create our own Apple IDs, so when we sync to our new iMac we won't see each others contacts, photos, calendar, music, etc. Is there a way to move music/apps from one ID to a new ID?

my wife and I have separate apple ID acts so that we could register our iPhones and iPads under our own names. Can I have my iMac synch iCloud with both apple ID's so that both our calendars end up on our iMac?
If have separate iCloud accounts and want to keep your all your iCloud data separate, you can create separate user accounts for each of you, then sign into your individual iCloud account within your user account.
If you want to just add both iCloud calendars on your Mac, you can sign into one iCloud account in System Preferences>iCloud, then add the second account in System Preferences>Internet Accounts>iCloud and only check Calendars with this second account. -

I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs. -

You cannot merge Apple ID's. Copied from Apple's FAQ about Apple ID's.

If you are wondering how using multiple Apple IDs relate to iCloud, see Apple IDs and iCloud.

My dad and I have shared an iTunes account for years and I just created a new apple id but I have no Idea how to get all those purchases to this new account. Help please?
The old Apple ID (presumably your dads) owns those songs and your new Apple ID does not. However, your dad can authorize your iD to use the songs by going to Store > Authorize This Computer from your iTunes menu and entering his Apple ID and password.

Hi both myself and my wife have separate iTunes accounts is there any way we can share apps?
Your are likely to find running two different AppleIDs on the same device to be more trouble than it is worth. Apps and content cannot be shared between IDs.

I AM GOING ON VACATION AND DO NOT HAVE OTHER APPLE PRODUCTS. IS THERE A WAY TO RETRIEVE MY IMAC INFO?
IS THERE A WAY TO RETRIEVE MY IMAC INFO?
Are you asking if another computer, Mac or PC, can connect to your Mac at home over the internet and access your data? If so, it is a bit challenging for a novice, but yes, it can easily be done with the right software on both computers. -
i have an ipod 5 and im changing my apple id. Is there any way to save all of my music and contacts?
Why are you changing your ID?
iTunes/app purchases are locked to the account that purchased them. For some actions like updating apps you have to sign into the account that purchased them. Just changing the ID does not not delete any media from the iPod.
When you delete the iCloud account for the iPod should should be offered the option to leave contacts on the iPod. See:

how can my daughter and i have our own itunes accounts on one computer because it automatically logs in with mine?
Hi theirmimi,
Go to Manage your Apple ID (on a computer) and sign in with your Apple ID. Then you can edit the email information on your account:

I have two Apple IDs. Is there any way to consolidate them into one?
I have two Apple iTunes accounts and didn't realize it for a while so some of the music I purchased is associated with one account and some music is associated with the other. I was wondering if there is any way to connect the two accounts and consolidate into one so that all my music is connected to one account and I don't have to manage the account separately?
Thanks and I appreciate any input! From Here http://support.apple.com/kb/HE37
