Yep. Anything that hadn't been synced or backed up somewhere else.
If you set it up to back up to iCloud, those backups occur automatically without user intervention when it's connected to WiFi and a power source. You may want to enable this after you set it back up again...

HT1212 Disabled iphone restore not working

Hi,
My dad has managed to disable his iphone 4s after entering the passcode wrong many times, I have tried the restore(and update) on itunes at least 6 times,
but about halfway through a warning box pops up saying that the phone is passcode locked.however the update continues to run until complete.
The phone is still disabled, I have spent hours searching for a solution on the internet please advise what should be the next course of action,the network carrier is Three do I take it to their support team or do I have to go to Apple.

Is there a way that I can unlock my iPhone after it has been disabled without having to restore the device? I had not backed up on iTunes recently and there is a lot of data on the phone that I do not want to lose. I'm not sure which operating system I have currently, but it has probably been about 5 months since I last updated the phone. If you have any suggestions for what I can do to access my phone, please share.Thank you!

Can you elaborate further on what you mean by 'unlock'? I presume you don't mean 'unlock' so as to use on a different network so would assume that a passcode has been entered incorrectly and it's now asking for a PUK code or something similar? If so you can only obtain this from your mobile network provider.

The iPhone isn't yours to work with. Turn it in to the police in the area in which you found it.

This is normal behavior as a device will remove itself from recovery mode after 15 minutes. I would recommend processing the steps in the article below. Once this is done, disconnect the device and allow the iOS to download. After the iOS completes the download process these steps again.

How to retreive data from disabled iPhone 4

Hi.
I have permanently disabled iPhone 4. it is my wife`s phone who passed away.
i need to get photos and videos from the phone. The original computer which i synced it with doesn't help.
I have 2 computer and don't remember which one was that i synced it with,on one of them i had hard drive which crashed so i installed new one, so basically when i am connecting to iTunes on both computer it says "enter your pass code before connecting to iTunes" but on the phone there is no keypad to enter pass code, it says only "iPhone is disabled connect to iTunes"
i have all paperworks and proof that phone and phone number belongs to me.
So far nothing works.
1. I tried iFaith to dump SHSH blobs, but later found out that building IPSW is only for restoring, that it will not retrieve my data.
2. I tried iPhone Browser but it doesn't see my device
3. i did not try this yet, not sure how to do this

Maintenance view will be created for database tables only.
Just display the maintainence from SE11 and click Tables tab in the screen
Here you can find the list of tables used to created for Maintainence view.
YOu can use these tables to write SELECT.
If you give us the maintainence table, we will help you.

Trouble restoring locked/disabled iPhone 3G

I have an iPhone 3G and I forgot the password. It is disabled and says connect with Itunes. When i connect it with Itunes however, it says this phone is locked with a password and cannot connect to itunes unless unlocked--but, obviously, I don't know my password!
I looked up how to recover and and restore/update the 3G and followed the steps. It instructed me to do the following:
1) Turn off iPhone
2) Plug in charger to USB port on Mac (without iPhone plugged in)
3) Open Itunes
4) Press and hold home button for a few seconds
5) Then connect to computer while still holding down home button
6) "Connect to Itunes" should appear with the Itunes logo on your iPhone
7) When this is complete your computer will notify that an iPhone was detected and is in recovery mode
8) There will be a "restore and update" button: click that and your iPhone will restore and update
9) Keep your iPhone plugged into the computer untill process is complete
10) Your iPhone will be restored and updated as a new iPhone
My Problem:
I followed the steps up until step #6 showed above. The "Connect to Itunes" did not appear. However I kept holding down the home button and it just went back to my lock screen which said: "IPHONE IS DISABLED, CONNECT TO ITUNES."
Now I am not able to restore my locked/disabled iPhone.
PLEASE HELP.

Recovery mode will work. BUT if your like most people you probably dont want to lose all your information. Sometimes if you just plug your ipod into a computer you have used before it will just unlock it for you! Sometimes if that doesnt work you can try to just back up your stuff to your computer unless you already have your stuff backed up to iCloud.
In that case get a computer get on any internet provider and go to www.icloud.com sign in and go to Find My iPhone. From there click on your devise and do a remote wipe. Personally I find this much easier than to have to mess with downloading software on your computer and all the other crap.
