You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

  • I-tunes Library was deleted, contents is on Ipod, how can I get back to lib

My I-tunes Library was deleted, All contents is on Ipod, how can I get all my music back into my library? Is it possible?

There is another way to retreive music from your iPod when it has been accidently deleted from your PC (I don't own a Mac, so cannot help there)which doesn't involve buying rip-off software. This is a very basic thing to do and following the instructions below, it is something a novice can do - tested it on my wife who is a total technophobe (and I hope you appreciate the moaning I got from forcing her to test it lol)
First change the settings in iTunes that automatically sync the iPod with the current iTunes library (or you will end up with a blank iPod too!)by clicking on "Manually manage songs and playlists" and also click on "Enable disk use". These are on the "iPod" tab within the preferences on iTunes (click on "Edit" then on "Preferences").
Next, double-click on "My Computer" and then on the iPods icon, which shows as a removable drive. In the iPod folder you now have on screen, click on "Tools" and then on "Folder Options". Now click on the "View" tab and then look for "Hidden files and folders". Just under that is an option to "Show hidden files and folders"
Now you have done all that - now comes the part where you recover all that music!
You should now see a folder called "iPod_Control". That is where your music folder is hidden. Now you have to add the Music folder within the "iPod_Control" folder to your library using iTunes itself....
First close iTunes down and then run it again. Click on "Edit" and then "Preferences", click on the "Advanced" tab and make sure that the "Keep iTunes Music folder organised" tab and the "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" tab are both ticked and click on "OK".
Next, click on "File" then click on "Add Folder to library". You need to point iTunes at the "Music" folder on your iPod, to do this scroll down the locations until you see "My Computer", click on it and then look through the locations for the iPod and click on that. Next, click on "iPod_Control" and finally onto "Music".
Now click on "OK" and prepare to wait for quite a while while iTunes recovers your music.
When you have finished that, you should tidy up by returning a few settings back to their original places. Just go back through the process and re-hide hidden folders (open "My Computer" and click on "Tools", "Folder Options", then the "View" tab. Change the "Hidden files and folders" to "Do not show" and click on "OK". Lastly, in iTunes, click on "Edit", "Preferences", "iPod" and change the setting to "Automatically update all songs and playlists", then untick the "Enable disk use"and click on "OK"

  • HT4061 my Ipad mini has been disabled.  How can I get back in?

Hello - I down loaded the new ISO 07 software today. I was asked for my passcode...not sure what this meant and tried a few pass words which didn't get me in. Now I realize this must have meant for me to enter my Apple Pass word.  Now when I enter it, my IPad has been disabled.  Can you unlock it for me?  Do you still need the serial number?  I have it, but not sure if you need it.

a passcode set up feature was added to ios7, even if you didn't have one before. It appears that some users had a passcode applied without knowing it during the installation.

  • How do I get back into my ipod without resetting it? Its disabled and says I have to connect to itunes

How do I get back into my ipod witout reseting it? It says I have to connect to itunes becuase its disabled.

Restore.  Note that it could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without be charged again.  Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

  • I forgot my iPad password and it is now "disabled", how do I get back in?

I have an iPad that has been issued to me from work.  I completely forgot my password, and through numerous failed attempts, I have been "locked out" of my iPad.  The home screen says that it has been "disabled."  When connecting to iTunes I am being told that I need a password to connect.  My first iPad issued from work had some technical issues and it was sent back to Apple...as a result when I received my new one I backed everything up from iCloud, and never needed to synch it with iTunes for my use.  How can I get back into my iPad?
    Thank you,
    Matt

how do i get back into my ipod if i forgot the password

If you have a passcode to the screen lock that you've forgotten, restore the iPod from the computer to which the iPod is synced. For information and instructions, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
If that will not work, you'll need to put the iPod into Recovery Mode and then try the Restore again:

If that still doesn't work, as a last resort try DFU mode:

  • My Ipod was disabled. How do I get it to work again?

Misplaced My Ipod several months ago and when we tried to sign back in we could not remember the passcode. Now the Ipod was disabled. How do I get it to work again?

You'll need to connect the device to iTunes and restore it.  If iTunes doesn't recognize the iPod still, try manually placing it in recovery mode first and then performing the restore in iTunes. See this article for instructions on putting the iPod into recovery mode.

  • I have an ipad and forgot the password. I tried to many times and it disabled on me. How do I get back into my ipad without using iTunes and without losing all my saved items.

I have an ipad 2 WiFi. I was in the hospital having surgery and forgot my password. I tried several times but couldn't get it. I ended up disabling my ipad. There are important pics n notes in there that I need. How can I get back into it without using iTunes (because I bought it second hand, off ebay) and without losing all my saved items. Please help me!

If it's disabled then it's too late to copy any content off it or to take a new backup, you will have to reset it back to factory defaults by connecting it to a computer's iTunes : Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
Have you been backing up to the cloud ? If you have then after resetting it back to factory defaults you can restore to that backup : Back up and restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iCloud or iTunes - Apple Support
If you bought it second hand then had the previous user removed their account from Settings > iCloud (and had Find My iPad enabled) on it ? If not and the iPad is on iOS 7+ then you will have to contact the previous owner to reactivate the iPad after resetting it : Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account - Apple Support
