forgotten passcode and I no longer have the computer I intially synced my ipad to itune with, how can I restore my ipad
You will still need to connect it to a computer's iTunes to reset it, and you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode in order to be able to do so : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If it's not a computer that it's been synced to then do you have a backup on iCloud that you could then restore from ? Depending upon what country that you are in, and whether the items are still in the store, you may be able to re-download some/all of your purchases via the Purchased tabs in the iTunes and App Store apps, and the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app.

I have an IPod touch and it had a password on it. I cant remember the password and do not have the computer anymore that I used to sync to iTunes. The message that I get is "iTunes could not connect to iPod Touch because it is locked with a passcode. You must eneter your passcode on the iPod touch before it can be used with iTunes."
How can I go back to factory setting (knowing that I will lose what is on the IPod) and use a different iTunes account.Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

HT1212 What if you no longer have the computer you last synced your ipod with?
I forgot my passcode to my ipod and now have a disabled screen that appears. I no longer have the computer I last synced my ipod with, so I cannot restore it that way. Any other suggestions? Is there any kind of hard reset?

I found my old iPod that I haven't used since about 2010, and I no longer have the computer that the library was synced with. Is there any way to get my music off of it so that I can put it on my new iPod? The old one is a 30 GB from 2005.
CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back. So probably won't run on modern operating systems. If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

Hi everyone, I have received a new iphone today. I have an ipod touch but no longer have the computer it is synced to. How do I get my music from the touch to my new iphone? many thanks Anna-Marie

First try this:
- Go on iTunes computer
- plug in the iPod
- authorize your device from store/authorize
- iPod / transfer from iPod by right clicking on the left pane
This will only transfer iTunes purchased music, not ripped CDs. and it is unnecessary now, as the music can just be downloaded from the cloud. -
My iPod just randomly deleted all my music, but I no longer have the computer where I synced it to. Can I still get my purchased tracks if I download iTunes on another computer?
If for some reason you failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer ( not good), then you can redownlaod some itunes content in some countries:

Forgotten passcode and I don't have the "Trusted device" iTunes is on for iPhone 4?
Right, basically I want to return my iPhone 4 to the original factory settings. It has a passcode on which I cannot remember and I no longer have the device I synced it with. I have gone through the steps advised on holding down the home & wake/sleep button but everytime I go onto iTunes the iTunes pops up with "You haven't chosen to have "Your Device" trust this computer. If you want to manage or sync with this computer, choose Trust on your iPhone now" but because of the passcode I can't. I'm just going round and round in circles and any help from you guys would be superb. Thanks
Remove the iPhone from your Apple ID.

My ipod touch 3g keeps asking to connect to itunes and i no longer have the computer
help me please
Connect the iPod to another computer that has iTunes installed and restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod If iTunes asks for the passcode and you do not know it or it will not accept the passcode, place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore it. For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
You will lose everything on the iPod, but that is the way it is. -
help me a.s.a.p
Since you do not have the syncing computer, all you can do is to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod. For recovery modes see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore -
I ask for help I had got a used Ipad from someone they didn't give me the passcode so I can reset everything. I don't have the last computer it had been synced on or the passwords for the store nor do I know how to change the email adresses. So does anyone know how to reset the passcode on an ipad with no computer or have it been synced on itunes.
Plug into iTunes on any computer.
Hold down the sleep wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Don't let go of the sleep wake button and press and hold the home button as well. Do this until the Apple logo disappears.
Now let go of the sleep wake button but keep your finger on the home button for a few more seconds. The device should go in a mode that will enable you to restore it. -
I have a nano 5th gen which I bought new. I no longer have the computer that I sync'd it with and created library on. I have new computer and Itunes library which I want to sync w my nano and songs on it. When I try it tells me I will loose all the songs on my nano bc Im already sync'd on a dif library. How do I keep from loosing all my songs?
Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time. If you try to sync it with a new or different iTunes library, it will erase what is currently on the iPod and replace it with what is in the new library.
See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.

I no longer have the computer I used to sync my Ipod Touch when it was new. Now the Ipod is locked and disabled and Itunes requests me to enter the passcode which I cannot do becasue the Ipod is locked! Any suggestions?
If you cannot connect it to the computer to which the device was last connected (or the device was never connected to a computer) you will have to use recovery mode to completely reset the device, losing all data:
iOS: Unable to update or restore - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 - recovery mode (e.g., cannot connect to computer last used to sync device, iTunes still asks for a password)
