i need help unlocking my iphone 4 verizon its disabled
Put the phone in rescue mode and have itunes restore it. This is how. Turn the device off holding down the sleep/wake button until you get slide to turn off. Turn off device. With the device off. Hold down the home button and keep holding down the home button while plugging in the iphone to your computer. Iphone will get an itunes logo and cable image on the screen release the home button. Itunes will see a device in recovery mode press ok in the message and hit restore.

I have a problem with my itunes. I cannot transfer apps from the itunes to my iphone 4s. I first called apple and they patched me to a technician who ran a test and determined that I had a virus. He gave me some price quotes and who to call. After my conversation with him, which I knew was BS btw, I immediatley called Geek Squad with whom my computer has a warranty through after they installed virus software on my new laptop (4 months old). I had a VERY long online session where they ran several virus test and found nothing. Although I was VERY happy that my computer didn't have a virus, I still had the problem of my itunes not working. After several hours, he made sure that all of my apps were down loaded, and then restored my iphone to factory settings, and sync my device. It worked perfectly and all and I mean ALL 240 apps were downloaded back onto my iphone along with my music and all of my tones. When asked why my itunes was acting in that manner the answer that I got was,"...apparently you had a correct file some where in itunes and everything had to be reset". Regardless, everything is back to normal and I don't have to get a new phone or delete itunes from my computer. Hope this helps!

i try manytime to put my email amd the password and tel me the comuter is authorised ???I do have the same problem too. I don't know recently updated itunes to 11.1 and today I tried to install a free app and this message occurs no matter what I ve tried.
I dont want to perform a master reset to iPhone yet... hope apple will come up with a fix.

I synced my iPhone 3GS on my PC (running Vista) yesterday, and it dropped a couple of error messages (-46 being one). No problems, I thought, I'll try again. Still failed. Unplugged everything, try again - now says "An iPhone has previously been synced with this computer, set up as new iPhone or Restore from backup".
This is a huge problem - my PC and IPhone combo don't like each other, and the last time I tried to upgrade the firmware it failed and forced me to restore which also failed. The only way I could get my iPhone back was to use another PC which was running XP. Consequently there is no way I am restoring my phone off my main PC (as it won't work), and I don't want to set up as new phone, as I'll presumably lose all my data (messages, notes, voice memos, etc). I plan to back up the phone on my laptop, just in case, and I've made copies of the backups on my main PC, but any ideas how I can make my PC realise that it actually already knows my phone?
We do have two iphones which we sync on this PC, and it's never played up like this before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did look to do what you suggested, but unfortunately the only option it gives me now on right-click is "eject" (both on PC, which is what I sync with and also my laptop, which has met this phone once before). My phone seems to be telling the computers that it's a virgin new phone, rather than one I've been using for several months.
I'm just hoping that the last backup on iTunes for my phone is complete - ie not corrupted during the last sync that appears to have corrupted my phone. At some point I will have to bite the bullet and let it restore from backup. Can I copy the backup files from my PC to my laptop ?

I am trying to sync my iphone 4 to my computer ( Windows 7 64 bit ) so I can update my apps. when I connect my phone to the computer, a window pos up with the following . . . . . . . . .
this iphone 'colin's iphone' could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorised for purchased items that are on this phone
to authorise this computer for items purchased from the itunes store, choose store > authorise this computer OK.
I click on Store, authorise... type in apple id... type in password... click on authorise
It then says.... this computer is already authorised.... including this one, you have authorised one computer out of your available 5.
I unplug my phone and plug it in again and it does exactly the same again???

the best and the esiest way is to solve this problem :
create a new account (as an administator recomended)
Bonjour servises must be enabled ( go to control panel > administartive tools> sevices> Bounjour services (change the category to large icons if you dont see administartive tools )
install itunes
sign in
authorize
SYNC
it must sync normally
but if the meesage pops up that points on a particular items that could not be synced ( to ur itunes because you are not authorized for this items ) REMOVE THEM
creating a new user account shows the items wich dont let you sync your iPhone
after you REMOVE those **** items that were not authorised , you can go to your old user account and SYNC it as old kind time
was having this problem 2 weeks , and nothing helped except this was. not deleting the SC Info folder, now copying apple folder to some other mobile divce folder
REMEMBER the problem is in your iPhone , it is about the items that are in your iPhone

This is not about wanting to manage music, etc. It's about my work. I have an app in development and need to load the latest IPA for testing, a process performed through iTunes, like syncing anything else. When I try and sync I get the message, "The iPhone could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPhone.
I did the research on the internet and haven't found an adequate answer. I've tried:
— Being sure I'm logged into the same iTunes account as the iPhone.
— Deauthorizing then Authorizing the computer, after which I get an alert saying the computer has been successfully authorized, resulting in the same error message again when I again try and sync.
— Removing the SC Info folder, as found in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1389 . I guess I have the only Mac that has no trace af any such "SC Info" folder anywhere in the system (OS 10.6.8).
— Logged in under every conceivable account configuration (computer admin, device account, etc...) to no avail.
I have to get this IPA imported into the iPhone. It's the same process as syncing anything else. If anyone has a solution, please send it along. Clock is loudly ticking.

Thank you for providing the details of the issue you are experiencing with syncing your iPhone. It sounds like you computer is not authorized for some of the purchases on your iPhone.
I am not sure if you have authorized your computer, but I recommend trying that first. If you have purchases from multiple Apple IDs on your iPhone, you will need to authorize all the Apple IDs used to make purchases. Use these steps:
Open iTunes on the computer you want to authorize.
Choose Store > Authorize This Computer from the menu bar.
You may need to show the menu bar to see this option in Windows. In earlier versions of iTunes, you can access this option from the Advanced menu.
Enter your Apple ID and click Authorize.

Word has not been started on this computer
I have the Adobe Technical Communication Suite and Microsoft
Office 2007 installed on my office computer. My operating system is
Windows Vista. In RoboHelp HTML, I have been trying to generate
printed documentation through the Single Source Layouts, but I
receive the following error message every time: "Microsoft Word has
not been started on this computer. Launch Word and click the 'Start
using Microsoft Word' option before generating Printed
Documentation again."
I have indeed opened Word--many times in fact--and I don't
see an option for "Start using Microsoft Word," so I'm stumped.
I am an administrator on the computer, and I installed both
Office 2007 and TCS, in that order, on my system.
In attempting to resolve the problem, I have
- Tried to generate printed documentation for both old and
new projects
- Tried generating .doc, .docx, and .pdf files.
- Uninstalled TCS and Office 2007 and reinstalled them, with
Office 2007 first and then TCS.
- Enabled all macros in Word 2007.
- Removed PDFMaker.dot, according to the suggestion on in the
Print Issues section of Peter Grainge's Web site.
None of these attempts has corrected the problem.
Interestingly, though, I can import a Word file into my RoboHelp
HTML project just fine.
If anyone has any suggestions for how to resolve this
problem, I would be most grateful.I've got it! As you assume, Peter, is has to do with the roaming profile. The RoboHelp templates were in the roaming profile (C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates - where xxx ist my user name) but in Word they were not activ. I could activate them in Word (in Word-Options / Add-Ins / Manage ... go to) but when I restart Word, they were inactive again.
Now I changed in Word-Options/Extended/General button "path for files" the path for "user templates" and "startup" to directories outside the roaming profile (i.e. c:\robohelp\startup). I copied the RoboHelp Templates (PrintDoc.dot, Style Mapping.dot and RoboHook.wll) to the new "startup"-directory. I started Word and now the RoboHelp templates were active!
ThenI started RoboHelp HTML and tried to generate printed documentation - and now it worked For a short time I could see a message like "waiting for register VBA macros". I think that was the most important thing. But I don't know what happend in the background (couldn't find anything in the registry) Now I changed the path back to my originally roaming profile-directories - and the "printed documentation" still works!

Error message when my iPhone is plugged into my laptop with iTunes program says, "...iPhone could not back up to this computer."
I was able to navigate to my backup folder after reading another post linking to the procedure. Should I delete the contents or the folder along with its contents?

Hi everyone.
I have a reoccuring issue when trying to sync my iPhone 5 to my Mac OS X 10.9.2 (all softwares are up-to-date). Everytime I try to sync my iPhone to my Mac a message pops up saying: "The iPhone "Jennifer" could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPhone".
I then followed the instructions provided with that pop up message by clicking STORE > AUTHORIZE THIS COMPUTER > LOG IN. But even when I do that, it still does not fix the solution.
I also tried signing in and out of my apple account, deauthorizing & reauthorizing my MAC, restarted my MAC & iPhone... now I have no idea what to do!
If someone knows the solution please help! I truly appreciate it.

How do I remove Overdrive books from the library that were downloaded onto my computer then transferred to my iphone? The problem is that they do not show up in iTunes.
I see this question asked a lot when I google, but they always give answers that assumes you can find the books in iTunes either under the books tab, or the audio books tab or in the music. They do not show up anywhere for me. They do not remove from the app like the ones I downloaded directly onto my iphone.the related archived article does not answer it either.
