Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

You can either use your carrier's international roaming plan, or if you have an unlocked phone, you can use local SIM cards from any compatible GSM carrier. If your phone is locked, you will need to contact your carrier to inquire as to the requirements and fees to have it unlocked. Not all carriers offer unlocking.

I purchased an iphone4 last year and used it for about 6 months with AT&T. After that for certain reasons i re-located to Bangalore, India. I paid the contract termination fees and legally out of the contract now. Can i get my phone unlocked? I sent an email to AT&T with the IMEI number but the responded back stating - 'The unlock code for this device is unavailable due to security restrictions based on the device's history. You may want to return the device and/or provide feedback to the seller.'. Please advise if there is any way to get this sorted.
Guys...after couple of followups with AT&T, here is their latest reply - 'After futher review of your previous account with at&t the imei for the phone that was purchased for mobile ending in 4356 doesn’t match the imie you provided ending in 6074'. This is absolutely rubbish. I even have the original bill and the serial number also matches. How are they saying that the IMEI number is not matching as per their records?

My daughter tried to change her code to unlock her phone and the phone locked up and says that her phone is diabled and to connect to iTunes. Is there any thing to do to unlock fix this problem?
You will need to connect the phone to iTunes, like the message said.
The code was tried too many times, and it was locked out for security. This is to prevent stolen phones from being accessed.
If you cannot get the phone to work after you have synced in iTunes, then I would try restoring the phone as a last resort.

i lost my iphone a cpl off weeks back and reported it to the local police then four days later a local taxie driver handed me it back it was working for a cpl off days then was blocked when i phoned up to find out why they just said it was reported as lost or stolen now i have my phone back is there any way off getting them to unlock it again ??

it wouldnt be sorted out as apple cannot unblock phones from a network they dont own or control and apple does not have any cellular network to block and if you get a samsung and it gets blocked it is the carrier doing the blocking not samsung you need to contact voda phone and tell them you want to elevate this issue to a higher level of customer support as they are the only place that can help you what will you for just wait for if you do not contact voda phone nothing will happen your phone being blocked has nothing to do with apple might as well go ask your neighbor to unblock it -

I would like to kniw the process of getting a phone from best buy, Because i have a droid 2 and i really enjoy it but it is always deleting my photos,apps,files,music,etc. It is starting to become irritating and i cant take it anymore so i was in bb mobile and my cousin hands me a sales paper and i see the droid incredible 2 is free with 2 year activation or upgrade(which someone on my line has) so can someone explain how i would get this phone?
In most of the country, there isn't any catch. The phone's free and you don't have to pay anything. Of course you do have to sign a 2-year contract for the carrier service in order to get the phone for free. Now remember that I said "nearly all states" -- read below for a few exceptions.
Depending on tax laws in your state, the price of the phone might be $1 instead of free. Or if you live in California like I do, you unfortunately have to pay tax on the retail price (would be about $40 or so on the Incredible 2). Generally Verizon does not charge any upgrade fees, however I heard they do in a few states - industry standard for this is $18.
I would contact your local store for specifics as they would best know local tax laws and carrier fees.

Try this first - I saw a recent post where a user with the same problem after an iOS update used his Apple ID password.
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

My iphone stopped working today. It only shows a blinking Apple logo when I connected it to a power. I tried to reboot it, but it didn't work. I followed a online suggestion to reboot by restore data from Itune. But when I did, Itune show a message that says it can't restore my iphone because an error 21 occurred.
