Only thing I can do now is to call emergency number

I was updating my iphone to the latest update tonight, the update failed. now the screen shows a usb cable pointing to itunes. when i connect to itunes, my phone does not show up. I would suggest powering off the phone, then following these steps to enter iPhone DFU mode. If this doesn't let iTunes see it and restore properly then you should probably work with one of the Apple Stores or AppleCare over the phone.
How to enter iPhone DFU mode
Connect the iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes
Turn the iPhone off (hold down the power button at the top of the iPhone)
Hold down the sleep/power button and home button together for exactly 10 seconds, then release the power button
Continue to hold down the Home button until a message appears in iTunes telling you an iPhone in recover mode has been detected.

okay, this is long so bare with me. So I earased everything off my phone and set it as a "new phone" so I could downald iOS7. When iOS7 finished dowloading, my phone said "connect to iTunes" so I connected it to iTunes. It was almost finished adding everything back onto my phone when it said it couldn't be finished. I decided to sync it again, and it said all my music and apps were being synced back onto the phone. When I check iTunes to see if it was still syncing it said it had finished so I checked my phone and it said "connected to iTunes" so I disconnected it, when I did that, my phone said "connect to iTunes" so I connected it again and it synced again, and I kept on doing this until I tried connecting it in recovery mode, and restoring my phone, nothing has worked. Someone please help me.

Instead of doing full reset try going into General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings - it worked magic for me after trying all other tricks mentioned on the web. You won't loose any data BTW.
