I changed my Apple ID to a new email address.  Now I cannot get my Iphone and Ipad to recognize the new Apple ID ... and I cannot access the old Apple ID because it does not recognize its password any more ... and I cannot change the password ... and there seems to be no one to ask about this.  Any help?

I tried but it won't let me even access the old Apple ID.  It won't recoginze its old password and will not let me make a new one. (The site tells me it has sent an email to let me change the password but the email does not come.)

  • How do I get my iphone to go back to the normal screen?

How do I get my iphone to go back to the normal screen? I was in the middle of updating my iPhone's software, therefore it was plugged into my computer and synced to my iTunes.  However my iTunes alerted me that it needed updating first and so I did.  Had to restart my computer, all the while, my iPhone is attached.  Once I try to sync my iphone with my itunes, it now pops up with an alert telling me to restore my iphone before syncing.  I have already tried restarting my iphone and plugging it back in, and plugging it into the charger, but nothing changes.  Everytime I restart the phone, it ends up on the same screen telling me to plug in the usb to itunes.  Help please! How do I just get back to a normal screen so I can ultimately update the software on my iphone the correct way!?

Not sure if you tried this, but did you hold down both the sleep and home button for 10 seconds?

I got to that page but clicking on the Subscribe Free had no effect.
Nothing showed in the Podcasts nor the iTunes U.
In fact I also subscribed to Stanford's lectures and despite actually managing to DL them there is still no subscription in iTunes U, just the Intro to Computer Science belatedly.

I'd like to attach the screen grab of the out of order and randomly DLed selection of Harvard's course, but the forum won't let me attach it even though it is only 456k. Correction, close post and retry and now it lets me. NB how intermittent the DLs are and in no particular order.

  • I have deleted my iCloud app from my iPad and cannot get it back.  I've reset the home screen, everything else appears but not that

Not sure if I had to submit my question:
I have deleted the iCloud app from my iPad and cannot get it back.  I've reset the home screen, everything else appears but not that

There isn't an iCloud app, I'm not sure what it is that you have deleted, but it isn't iCloud.

  • After downgrading my iphone 5 it stuck at the apple screen

after downgrading my iphone 5 from ios7 to ios 6 my iphone stuck at the apple screen, I tried a serval times to reboot and r it but even when it turned on when i tried to slide to unlock it, it turns of again, i hope some one could help =(

You can get no support on this forum.  Since you have iOS 7, you're either a developer (in which case, per your NDA you must post in the Developer Forums) or a thief.

  • I cannot get my iPod to move off of the first screen.   It has the following message.  iPod is disabled. Try again in 23,714,138 minutes.   Any suggestions?

I cannot move off of the first screen.   When I turn my iPod touch on it gives me the following message.   iPod disabled. Try again in 23,714,138 minutes.   I have shut it off and turned it back on and it returns to this screen.  Any suggestions?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

  • My iPhone wont turn on past the apple screen

I was erasing it and it shut off but the battery was full. I've restarted it and it doesn't show up on itunes. The apple showes up then it turnes off.

Probably won't work but... try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings. You may need to hold the buttons as long as a minute.
If that doesn't work, try Recovery or DFU mode... http://www.timog.com/forum/showthread.php?t=130265

  • My iphone won't go pass the battery screen but it says it is plugged in?

When I was on vacation, my iphone stopped charging. I changed cords and outlits, but the phone would only recognize that a cord was there and not charge. I powered off at 60% so when I got home I could back it up if needed. When I got home, however, my phone said the battery was empty. It is currently on the empty battery screen with the charge under it and hasn't changed for the last hour. I've tried a hard reset. Is there any way that I can save my phone or save the data? Or do I just need to get a new phone? And if I get a new phone, will they be able to transfer the data I have on it?

First try a reboot - press and hold the power and home buttons until the Apple icon appears.

  • After I updated my Iphone it shuts down to the apple screen then back on by itseff

After I updated my phone to the newest version it just shuts its self down to the apple icon like the one when it is restoring then after a minute or so it goes back

I would restore from back up. Could be corrupt.

Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
Connect your device to your computer.
Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
    Select the Summary tab.
    Select the Restore option.
When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not necessary to create another.
Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up, you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or you see "iPhone is activated."
The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup.

  • HT4528 My iphone won't go past the apple screen

I was having difficulties with my iPhone 4 around 1ish eastern time so I decided that turning it off would help.. When I tried turning it back on it woudn't go past the apple logo. I decided it'd be best to let it rest. I've tried the recovery mode and it didn't do anything. I tried connecting it to my computer and it didn't do anything. Now 7 hours later I have it plugged in and it still won't go past the apple logo. Someone anyone.. Please help me!! Thanks in advance

Try DFU Mode Restore. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power button, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time. If the iPhone screen is black, blank this is DFU Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes.

  • HT1373 i have a broken desktop which had my itunes account on it. I am trying to get the information onto a new laptop and itunes programme but cannot. I also cannot get my iphone 5 to be recognized on the new itunes. HELP

i have a broken desktop which had my itunes account on it.
I am trying to get the information onto a new laptop and itunes programme but cannot. I have only managed to copy over some of my music as i had it on an external drive.
I also cannot get my iphone 5 to be recognized on the new itunes.
    HELP

iTunes as you see it in the application window uses a series of files and folders contained in the iTunes folder.  Some people make the mistake of only backing up their media in which case all you have is a bunch of media files without the iTunes structure.  In that case you have to build a new library yourself.
What exactly do you mean "not recognized"?  The phone does not show up on the computer at all, or it does but it says it will wipe the phone?  The wipe the phone stuff is again because it cannot find the original library to which it was synced.  You need to transfer the entire iTunes folder from the old computer or the backup you made of it.

  • HT4528 I cannot get my iPhone to boot up the iOS7.

I cannot get my iPhone to boot up the iOS7. It is downloaded and my phone will take me to the start up screen, but after I enter my internet information it says it "server cannot be reached."

many folks have been having activation issues in the last few hours... your issue maybe related.
best advice i've heard is to wait a while... if you cant get past the start up screen after a while then running thru the iphone ts steps is what i'd do... http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone/
