HT1212 I have done this 5 times and it wont restore. anyone know why?

Got a new ipod 5 today and my daughter put in pass code and doesn't remember what it is. i have tried at least 5 times to restore by following prompts on apple support, but it won't restore. it keeps coming up wiht message that i need to enter pass code! i am going crazy!

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Also try placing the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs:
For PC
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
If necessary:
Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
For MAC or PC
The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
If still problem pease provide exactly what happens when you tried the above.

Has your phone been jailbroken? If so, you will likely never get it to work again.
You can try placing your phone in DFU mode (search google) and restoring.

Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

Try boot into Safe Mode and try again.
