FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Hold Sleep/Wake button down and slide to turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug.
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

Oh - I see that you have that article linked to your post above. Read the entire paragraph in item #1. It tells you what to do if it is asking for a passcode.

You updated your iPad 2 to iOS 6. You were playing with accessibility (or turned it on accidentally) and turned voiceover on. Now you can't unlock your iPad.
Do you know how to use the iPad in VoiceOver mode? First tap on what you would normally tap on. Then double tap anywhere on the screen. To unlock the iPad, tap on the "Slide to Unlock" bar. Double tap. Tap on the first character in your passcode. Double tap. Etc.
To turn off voiceover (even without unlocking the iPad), triple tap the home button. tap on VoiceOver. Double tap.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

You are going to need to restore the iPad. Do you have a backup? Restore the iPad from the most recent backup and it will have most of your things, or you can start over fresh with a clean install of iOS.

Still cant track my Ipad order in the UK, UPS.

My order was supposedly shipped on the 10th of March with UPS. However I have been unable to track my order on the UPS website with the code which was provided on the Shipment Status page next to tracking number. I copy this into the UPS track window and it comes up with: UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later. And: Tracking or InfoNotice Numbers, This leads me to a page with the correct formats of tracking codes. The code which I have is a 10 digit number.
Does anyone know if I am doing anything wrong or wether it is just the system?

Good question. :-)
The UPS number provided by Apple (mine is starting with 81****) is actually not a tracking number. It is a "reference number".
You therefore need to go to the "track reference" section of the UPS Web site and type this number. then you should get your "real" tracking number and get access to your requested information.
At this time, I'm in the same situation than you, concenring scheduled shipment (delivery shceduled for tomorrow). Information provided by UPS Website shows that shipment sticker has been generated but the parcel doesn't seem to be yet in the UPS loop.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
