HT1212 if the passcode is entered incorrectly how long is the ipad disabled for till i can try again my kids have got to my ipad and  disabled it it is brand new and i cannot do any of the restore procedures listed on the net nothing works to restore it

my parents got me and ipad for christmas setup the ipad with a pass lock kids have got the ipad and disabled it by typing in the wrong passcode to many times didnt get a chance to sync it with itunes didnt get a chance to do anything with it I have tried all the restore and reset techniques available have rung apple support and have got nowhere im really starting to get ****** any ideas like i said i have tried all the recovery modes and itune recovery and nothing is working please help

Recovery Mode Step by Step
1. Hold Sleep/Wake button down and slide to turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTune
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug.
5. Release Home button.
On Computer
6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.

9. Select "Restore and Update"
