HT1212 ipad all of a sudden requires a pass code??
this morning my i-pad asked for a 4 digit pass code?? what do i do?
Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is app and data safe!

TS1741 my ipad all of the sudden stopped charging
My Ipad all of the sudden stopped charging. It wont even charge or be recognized from my laptop on itunes. Please help. Is my battery dead?
Three possibilities - bad cable, charger or the iPad/battery. Since iPad not recognized, I suspect the cable. Make sure the cable is fully connected.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
And this - Unplug the charger from the iPad and then replug. May resume charging.
Or - Recalibrate the battery. See link below.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. I have a new MX922. All of a sudden I get Support Code C000 printer error has occurred
I have a fairly new MX922. All of a sudden I get Support Code C000 which says printer error has occurred. There is nothing in the print cue. I have restarted my computer. I have turned the printer on and off. I have turned the printer off, unplugged the printer, plugged it back in again, and turned on. The same message and flashing light for the error is still there. I can't operated my printer. Can anyone help me?
Thanks,

My iPad is asking me for a restriction pass code but I have never set one so I don't know what it is. I'm trying to reset the device because I have sold it.
Try erasing the device using iCloud.com - assuming that you were using iCloud and the Find my iPhone app on the device.
What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod ...
if that doesn't work, try recovery mode.

IPad iOS 5.1 keeps resetting to pass code screen
Hi,
I updated my iPad to ios5.1 successfully, so I thought. Since updating the iPad it intermittently resets itself to the pass code screen, it can be in the middle of something or when trying to open an app. The screen will go black with the round timer and up comes the pass code screen. I have tried a soft reset (home and off key), with no change. Any ideas please?
Thanks in advance,
JasonI have this exact same problem. I notice it intermittently when I press the home button twice. I took my IPad to the apple store. Its an I termittant problem. I wonder if Apple will be able to look into this.

In order to erase all content it says enter restrictions pass code I don't know what that is or have one
If your iPhone is connected to a company Exchange server or otherwise managed by them, they can set and enforce restrictions and set a passcode to keep employees from changing them. If this might apply to you, talk to your company's IT department.

IPad all of a sudden wants activating
I have an iPad 3 with cellular (but not being used) and it has been working absolutely perfectly until today all of a sudden it asks to be activated...yet it won't activate, displaying the we're sorry we cannot activate at this time rubbish.
I have tried activation on wifi and through a laptop but neither works. It is running on iOS8.1 I think so I am trying to upgrade it to the latest version but it seems to not want to do that either. I have also tried a hard reset but nothing seems to work!! What else can I do apart from taking it into a store which is a pain in the ****.
I bought this iPad without a contract so it has never been locked to a provider, jailbroken or the like so honestly have no idea what is causing this.
The only change in the past few weeks is I got a data sim with my new contract (O2) and had it in the iPad for a couple weeks although it wasn't working so I put the iPad in flight mode to stop it from searching constantly, could that affect it?I Understand that you shouldn't have to activate again, just like anybody that has an iPad that for no good reason at all goes into recovery mode shouldn't have to deal with that either, However it happens and when it does, you have to find a way to get your device running again.
I Do not have a cellular iPad but if this occurred when you put the SIM card in, I would remove the card and try it that way. If you were using WiFi, I assumed that you turned off Airplane mode so you need to turn that off as well. -
Razr all of a sudden requires a pin to unlock the phone...
All of a sudden, today, my phone is requiring a PIN to unlock the phone. I cannot seem to find out how to deactivate this. I went into settings/location and security settings. and the "screen unlock secuirty" doesnt seem to allow to deactivate it. Anyone know how to deactivate it?
Thanks, LisaThanks for all your comments. The first time it asked for me to create a pin number...I did (not really knowing it would be to unlock my phone). Then when I tried to deactivate the locking system, it wouldnt let me. The "Unlock" button was greyed out. I took the phone to the verizon store and they figured it out for me. Are you ready for this?????? Since I have my work email linked to my phone. My work server made all employees automatically use pin numbers to unlock their phones, (if they access work emails from their phone, which I do). Imagine that!!

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.

I did not have this problem earlier today. I haven't dropped it recently or any such thing. I have, however, used two different audio jacks today. Although it makes keyboard sounds when I type in my pass code, it doesn't make the sounds otherwise. I also tested the sound on temple run and it worked. My slider key is set to mute, not to lock screen. When I try to adjust the volume, it'll say "sound effects" and the volume will be turned all the way down, but it won't let me turn it up. I got this iPad in December and unfortunately did not purchase AppleCare and I believe the warranty has passed. Any suggestions as to what's wrong?
Try A and B
(A) Restart iPad
1. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
2. Drag the slider to turn off iPad.
3. Turn iPad back on, hold down the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears
(B) Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected. -

For screen-lock passcode:
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
For Restrictions passcode yo have to restore to factory settings/new iPod since restoring from a backup made when the iPod had the Restrictions passcode the Restrictions passcode willaalso be restored. -

When I tried to update apps they are stuck with "waiting..." and I cannot access those apps anymore. I have Internet access all this time.
What is going wrong, will I lose data for the apps.
Thanks for any help or insights.Restart the iPad (hold the Home and Sleep buttons until the Apple logo appears.
This sometimes happens if the download of the updates gets interrupted.
If that doesn't work, downalod the updates via iTunes, and sync the iPad to iTunes.
In either case, you don't lose the app data -
