Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I would suggest looking into a Thunderbolt to HDMI connector. In this case, you may be able to use the TV as an external monitor. For this option, please confirm through additional research. I have not tested it personally.
You can also use an Apple TV, which connects with HDMI. In this case, you can use Airplay Mirroring. Not all Macs support Airplay Mirroring, so you need to check first. I have a Mid-2011 27" iMac, and it supports Airplay Mirroring. I don't use it often because my TV is in another room, but I just tried it and it worked. When I turn on my iPod Touch 5th generation, half of the screen has vertical white lines and it is irresponsive to the touch... is there anyway this can be fixed because this is my third time in the last 4 months I have had problems with Apple.

The screen looks completely normal besides the vertical white lines on the right hand side of the screen, as the "slide to unlock" is lighting up and the time and date are changing, but the screen is unresponsive. After several problems with Apple in the last few months (and two defective iPods including this one and one iPhone), I really don't want to go through the whole process of bringing it in or getting a new one entirely. It would greatly help if someone knows a solution, even if that would require completely resetting the iPod to factory settings, as I have had is synced to iTunes before. I have an iPod touch 5th generation replacement from the Apple Store, and the display is slightly yellow compared to "new" or floor models. There are also some areas where the yellowing is more obvious than others. Is it possible to get this replaced at an Apple Store?
I have read other posts where the yellow tint goes away within a week or so. I have had this problem for months.

The product i am using is a Ipod touch 5th Generation, version 8.1. On friday i had laid my ipod on my jacket which was laying on my mom truck and i went to play basketball. So when i got back it was off, at first i thought it died but the ipod was cold. It wasnt turning on i put it on the charger and it still wouldnt turn on. So i kept it on the charger all night and in the morning (saturday 10/25/14) it turned back on. So i went to the wifi to connect to my home wifi and it said no wifi is found. So i reset the network settings on my ipod and turned off the wifi box for 30 seconds then turned both back on and it still said theres no wifi. I followed every step but it still doesnt show any wifi. I tried to enter it manually but it keep saying "Could not find the network". But when i do it on my brothers phone it works. Can someone please help me get wifi back on my Ipod touch. I did all the steps but still nothing work.

If you can't get it to shut down or restart when holding down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons and you can't get it recognized in iTunes to restore it, the iPod may have suffered a hardware failure and will need to go to Apple for service. Someone else here may have additional suggestions, though.
There is no "fifth generation" iPod touch, by the way, just for the sake of clarity; not yet, anyway.

I have an iPod Touch 5th Generation with iOS 8.1, my home button is broken and I've been using AssistiveTouch for months now. Today I just locked my iPod and it wouldn't unlock again, it doesn't respond at all, it won't turn on. It was almost fully charged, so it's not the battery. I followed the steps from this thread, but I'm still getting the "USBMuxListenerCreate: No Error" message in CMD Prompt. I bought my iPod abroad and even though I do have the warranty, I've been told at the iStore that it's not valid here, so going to the store isn't really an option. Any ideas how to solve this?

Sorry, but without a working home button it is not possible to reset or restore your device. You should visit an Authorized Appel Service Provider or Apple Store to get it serviced. The warranty for an iPod is not limited to the country where it has been bought, check here: one-year limited warranty

I tried to charge my iPod Touch 5th generation but it died while charging and it was tuning and it said i had to connect to iTunes so i did and i had to restore it to use it and while restoring an error code (9) appered and i can't use it. Plz help

   So I was using my iPod Touch 5th generation and the charger wouldnt charge it and it died then while it was in the process of tuening back on the apple logo dissapeered and it kept on turning on and off so i put it into DFU mode and it said to plug it into itunes to i did and it said i had to restore it to use it but when i tried to restore it it brought up ," Couldnt restore ipod, error code (9) " ..... and i have tried 3 different USB cables and two different computers and USB ports and i have no clue what to do so i would like help from anyone please that would be awesome!!!!
