HT1212 ipod touch locked and on lost mode...cannot remember passcode!

I lost my 4th gen. ipod touch on my birthday two weeks ago. I decided to go onto icloud and put it on lost mode. When i was on icloud I set a passcode for it and today I found it under the seat of my car and I have forgotten the passcode. What can I do to reset it? (p.s. I have already tried pressing the home and lock button, and I have even tried using itunes "restore ipod to try and reset it).

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Then take it out of Lost Mode the same way you put it into Lost Mode:  via the Find My iPhone App or www.icloud.com.

  • HT1212 ipod Touch 5th generation. I changed the original passcode and then forgot, so it says 'iPod is disabled'. It hadn't been synced with iTunes, so I switched it off, held home button, connected to Mac, did restore on iTunes twice but it doesn't work.

  • IPhone is locked and in lost mode and cannot get it sorted.

My iPhone was stolen, but I managed to get it back. However I put it in Lost Mode while it was gone and now that I have it back I cannot seem to get it out of Lost Mode. When I switch it on it says connect to iTunes so I do and when it's connected a message pops up saying it cannot be connected because it is in Lost Mode and locked. Is there anyway to sort this? I cannot connect it to my Wifi either as it is locked so I can't put my wifi password in, therefore I cannot switch off lost mode. Any ideas???

    You reset your password: iforgot.apple.com.
Then you remove Lost Mode: [iCloud: Use Lost Mode]
How to reset your Apple ID password.
Go to iforgot.apple.com and type in your Apple ID, then click 'Next'.
Verify your date of birth, then click 'Next'.
You'll be able to choose one of two methods to reset your password, either E-Mail Authentication or Answer Security Questions.
If neither method works, then go to https://getsupport.apple.com
(If you see a message that says 'There are no products registered to this Apple ID, simply click on 'See all products and services')
Choose 'More Products & Services', then 'Apple ID'.
    A new page will open.
Choose 'Other Apple ID Topics', then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'.
    Click the blue 'Continue' button.
Select the contact option that suits your needs best.

  • IPod touch is locked and in Lost Mode.

I have found it but cant get it to work again. Its stuck in a zoomed locked position

If it's zoomed in, try double-tapping the screen with three fingers. that should reveal the full screen with unlock options.

  • IPod touch locked and can't restore - help!

My 9 yr old son decided to reset his passcode today and must have put the new password in incorrectly both times (as it was 'cat' so easy to remember) and now he has locked his iPod. Unfortunately, the computer used to set up/sync his iPod was my laptop and it died last week. I have since had it rebuilt, but now iTunes won't recognise the iPod so I can't restore the factory settings. What can I try next? It's 11.30pm in Australia so if I have to go back to the business that rebuilt the laptop it will have to wait until tomorrow.
    Any suggestions? Thx..

làm cách nào để kết nối được với máy tính, khi tôi có đủ icloud và các thông tin, xin hướng dẫn cụ thể

Your iphone is probably stolen from someone. I'm not saying you stole it, but there's a possibility that the person you bought it from stole it.

Will I have to take it into apple store?
If you can't resolve the problem, then yes, take it to an Apple store.
You can make an appointment at the Genius Bar in advance.
