My fully charged iPhone has a black screen and is not responding but has Siri and sound. I connected to laptop and iTunes gives error msg indicating phone is locked and I to enter passcode. but I can't enter the passcode because the screen is black. I have never syncd with iTunes. What can I do to get my phone back?
First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

User troubleshooting steps are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. If after a restore as new, you are still experiencing a problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store or authorized Apple Service Provider to have the hardware checked depending on your location.

My daughter forget her password and now her ipod touch is disabled. Red message says to connect to itunes. When I do connect to itunes, the device is not recognized and then a message comes on the screen that says it is locked and to enter the password to access it. I cannot access the password and since itunes does not recognize the device, it does not come up on the list on the left, i cannot reset it. What do I need to do so she can use her ipod touch again? Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

The application was created by someone in my school district, and they built it for use in Internet Explorer. When you click on the pop out calendar, you should be able to choose for what date you want to fill in data. Last year it didn't work, this school year it did up until around the week of Oct. 17th. It hasn't been able to work since. I am wondering what has changed- the district says nothing has changed on their end.

I've no idea what happened - but it sounds as if plugging in the phone has fried the logic board. The best thing that I can recommend is that you take the machine to your local Apple Store/AASP and have them diagnose the problem.
At this point, there's simply nothing else that you can attempt.

I found a fix for it, It turned out that the file that lists all of the songs on it got corrupt. I had to use 3rd party programs but it did work out in the end

I just replaced the hard drive on my g4 PowerBook -I don't know where my original software is and apple won't touch it since its "vintage". Does anyone know what my options are to get my computer working again?

You only option is to buy a copy of Mac OS X, either the retail disk or system disks.
There are places you can by a copy of Mac OS X, like online vendors, Amazon or eBay.
System disk are gray and come with more than one disk. Retail disk are black with a 'X' on them and often come as one DVD disk.
Not sure what version your going to require as you haven't provided any specification and model details.
I would safely assume being a G4, it would be happy to install Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger.
If you could let us know the PowerBook you own, then I am sure we could advise you further.

I have the same issue...I called Adobe and they said that Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 7 ...so I tried installing the suite again without Acrobat and still the same issue....does anyone know if this issue is resolved by getting the new CS5 suite??? Straight Talk now offers the iPhone (NOT the same as the SIM program that they have offered). It operates on the Verizon network. It went on sale this morning. http://iphone.straighttalk.com
And you are NOT correct. I know this for a fact - I'm actually a Straight Talk "BYOP" user. You must install a configuration profile. Period. There's no way around it - iPhone defaults to the AT&T carrier bundle (based on the ICCID number of the SIM card, which identifies itself as an AT&T SIM), which includes settings that will not work and will lock out the menus that are necessary to make changes to allow data to work.
The only way to make modifications to the APN settings (that Straight Talk includes in their package) is a configuration profile. Doesn't matter if the phone is locked or unlocked. -
Both of the CD/DVD drives on my desktop computer quit working. I had to change registry settings to get them to work again and after that iTunes gives me a message on startup that I need to reload iTunes because of the change in registry settings. I'm concerned that if I reload iTunes that my drives will quit working again though I don't know why they quit working in the first place. Is there a known problem or incompatability with some drives and iTunes. What is it about the registry settings that iTunes requires my CD/DVD drives settings to work or not to work? I haven't updated my iTunes software since changing the registry setting to fix my drives.
I've read some of the support articles about reinstalling the iTunes upper filters in the registry but I don't like the idea that iTunes seems to be saying that they are the ones that will be in control of what CD burning software that I am allowed to use on my computer. If I put the iTunes upper filters back on the computer will I not be able to use other CD burning software again? If I reload iTunes will it interfere with the use of the other software, or, if I use the other software again will I have to go back and reload iTunes or reset my registry every time. This seems to me to be a problem that iTunes should fix so that they don't interfere with other computer operations.

My Macbook Air is totally unresposive once it is turned on. It has 256 GB of flash memory. No mouse cursor; the keyboard has no effect. Running the battery down and then plugging in does not fix this. What can I do to get the Air back?
Have you tried to recover your Mac?
Boot and hold Cmd-R until the recovery screen appears. Follow the prompts. This will reinstall everything over the internet - you do not need any installation media.
You do have a backup of your data, right?
