HT1212 my niece can't remember her passcode, i've followed the directions on here, but it didn't work.. What else can i do?

Does anyone know how else my niece can get into her iPod, she forgot the pw and the directions online didn't help at all??

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problems, what exactly happens or does not happen and where in the instructions.

i have tried the tips on a disabled ipod. i no longer have the computer it was originally logged into itunes with, i am not able to get it to work with any of the other tips   what can i do from here?

How can I turn off geo-locator? I have done the fix that I found but it doesn't work - what else can I do?

I have done this and turned it to false (hope that's right)
• In the URL bar, type about:config
• Type geo.enabled
• Double click on the geo.enabled preference
• Location-Aware Browsing is now disabled
But google is still putting me at a location unsuitable for my browsing requirements. I want to browse .co.uk not .fr. for business as well as personal. Please help it is very time consuming even when I type .co.uk google changes it back to .fr

"Location-Aware Browsing" is only useful if you connect via a wireless access point.<br />
Otherwise a reverse DNS look up of your IP is used and that is usually not very accurate.<br />
Firefox will always ask for permission before using Geolocation.<br />

Have you tried a 'hard reset'. You do not lose any of your data on the iPad.
Here are the steps:
    Press the Power Buton and the Home button simultaneously.
    Continue to hold down both buttons until the iPad shuts off
    Release the buttons when the Apple Logo appears.
Also, make sure your iPad is not in airplane mode. Settings, Airplane mode is the first option under settings,

The only thing you can do is place the iPod in Recovery mode and restore via iTunes on a computer. It is a good security feature.

Try this:
1. Backup iPad
2. Restore to Factory Default (Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings)
3. Update to IOS 7.0.4
4. Restore from backup

Welcome to the Apple community.
You need to tap on the small square with the arrow coming from it which appears in the top right corner of your screen, once you do this a delete button will appear on the bottom row.
