HT1212 none of this helped my daughters ipod says ipod disabled and will not shut off or do anything
my daughters ipod is disabled I cannot get it to reset it wont do anything
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My ipod states its disabled and will not function now ... please help
ipod states its disabled and will not work or allow me to reset from itunes? any suggesstions?
You are going to have to restore it. Scince itunes does not connect to ur ipod because its disabled you are gonna have to put your ipod in DFU mode. Basicaly u have to hold the power and home button atthe same time for 10 second then release power button and keep holding home button for about 15 seconds ( all this you do it while ipod is connected to the computer) if it works, itunes will detect ur ipod in recovery mode and will give you the option to restore it.

All music in itunes ipod says no content and will not sync music
all music in itunes ipod says no content and will not sync music
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

Improperly disconnected ipod nano now screen is blank, and will not shut off.
I accidently unplugged iPod Nano (second generation) improperly; now the screen is blank and will not shut down.
Have you tried a hard reset yet? To do this, first make sure the hold switch has not been activated, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear. This may take a couple of tries.
Otherwise, wait for the iPod's battery to fully drain. Then connect it to a power source charge up as normal. It might be necessary to restore the Nano via iTunes after that as there may be corrupt files still leftover from improperly ejecting the iPod.

Ipod nano firewire error and will not turn off! PLEASE help
I am having the exact same problem as I see may of you unfortunate Apple users are. I am receiving the error message about firewires and I have never used one. The nano will not turn off and I have to let the battery run out. The play/pause function works perfectly fine, but not to turn off the nano. The sleep function does not do anything either. I am so disappointed with Apple because they would not help me on the phonbe since it is well past my first 90 days of ownership. I may have gotten a single drop of water on it, but that was about 2 weeks ago, and still having the same problems. I don't know what to do, but I see that Apple has gotten mighty rich off of their JUNK products! Anyone out there, help me please!
Do a reset. You will not lose any data: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If this does not help resore from a backup. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
Lastly try restoring to factory settings.
If none of this works, it's probably a hardware problem. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of your Apple store. You are under warranty and they will fix or replace it on the spot. -

My Itunes says there is a corrupt file and will not open (IMac 2010). I couldn't fix it by reinstalling ITunes so I moved ITunes to trash. It will not delete from my trash as it is saying "Japanese.lproj" is in use. I have never opened or used "Japanese.lproj". I can't delete ITunes or open ITunes to close the Japanese.lproj, what do I do? Thank you for any help you can provide..It will not delete from my trash as it is saying "Japanese.lproj" is in use. I have never opened or used "Japanese.lproj".
Interesting. This sort of thing is more common on Windows systems. Taken at face value, one of the iTunes program files (one of the Japanese language resources) is damaged.
I'd try running your Disk Utility over your startup disk. Does it find/repair any damage? If so can you empty your trash and reinstall your iTunes successfully now? -

My IPOD says Disk Mode, and will not turn on at all
I have an older Ipod. It will not turn on. It says on a dark screen. Didk Mode. It will not turn on. I has charged all night.
What happens if you try to reset the iPod? To do this, press and hold both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear. Don't be afraid to try this procedure more than once if no luck the first time around.

I have tried to reset the IiPod, but an unsure of how to properly reset the instrument.
To do a hard reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Volume down buttons together at the same time long enough for the Apple logo to appear. This may or may not work the first time around, so don't be afraid to try it more than once.
If you are still unable to get any sort of response, you'll need to let the iPod's battery fully drain. Then charge it back up and see if things are back to normal.
